This install manual will give you a clear understanding about the installation of this kit.
To ensure correct installation, please read this manual carefully before starting the
installation.

WARNING
Before installing or connecting the unit, please read
the following thoroughly for proper use.
WARNING CAUTION
MAKE THE CORRECT CONNECTIONS.
Failure to make the proper connections may result in
re or product damage.
DO NOT ALLOW CABLES TO BECOME ENTANGLED IN SUR-
ROUNDING OBJECTS.
Arrange wiring and cables in compliance with the
manual to prevent obstructions when driving. Cables
or wiring that obstruct or hang up on places such as
the steering wheel, shift lever, brake pedals, etc. can be
extremely hazardous.
DO NOT OBSTRUCT AIRBAGS OR ANY OTHER SAFETY
RELEVANT PARTS OF THE VEHICLE WHILE INSTALLING
THE PRODUCT.
Doing so may lead to failure of the vehicle’s safety
systems and results in severe injury or death.
USE SPECIFIED ACCESSORY PARTS AND INSTALL THEM
SECURELY.
Be sure to use only the specied accessory parts. Use
of other than designated parts may damage this unit
internally or may not securely install the unit in place.
This may cause parts to become loose resulting in
hazards or product failure.
ARRANGE THE WIRING SO IT IS NOT CRIMPED OR
PINCHED BY A SHARP METAL EDGE.
Route the cables and wiring away from moving parts
(like the seat rails) or sharp or pointed edges. This will
prevent crimping and damage to the wiring. If wiring
passes through a hole in metal, use a rubber grommet
to prevent the wire’s insulation from being cut by the
metal edge of the hole.
PRECAUTIONS
• It’s recommended to disconnect the cable from the
(-) battery post before installing this product. This
will reduce any chance of damage to the product in
case of short-circuit.
• Be sure to connect the specied leads according
to the diagram. Incorrect connections may cause
the unit to malfunction or damage to the vehicle’s
electrical system.
• Installations must be carried out indoors only, away
from dust and contaminates.

Disconnection of Battery
It is recommended to disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal before
proceeding with the installation.

Pull the fascia outwards to disengage the mounting clips. Carefully unplug the two
connectors on the rear of the fascia and set aside.
Use the trim removal tool to dislodge the bottom fascia clips through the recesses in
the fascia.

Using the 6 head unit screws provided, fasten the left and right side brackets to the
Alpine head unit black box.
Unscrew the 4 head unit bracket bolts using a 10mm socket and remove the head unit
from the dashboard. Retain these screws to mount the Alpine unit.

Use a cutting tool to carefully trim the dash in the illustrated location on both the left
and right sides of the head unit cavity to allow clearance for the 9” LCD display to be
tted.

Remove the passenger side grab handle and A-pillar trim, route the DAB antenna wire
and mount the antenna to the windscreen.
Route the GPS wire behind the dashboard, place the GPS antenna on the metal
backplate and mount the antenna faced upwards and as close to the top of the
dashboard as possible.

The supplied Alpine hazard switch must be soldered to the factory hazard switch
wiring as shown in the above diagram. The red wire on the hazard switch is not used.
Route the hazard switch connector down through the HVAC blank and connect it to
the supplied Alpine hazard switch. Clip the Alpine hazard switch assembly into the
HVAC blank.

Connect all supplied wiring to the vehicle connectors and the Alpine head unit black
box.

Install Black Box and Assemble Fascia
Mount the head unit black box assembly to the dash using the 4 factory head unit
bracket bolts. Ensure that the display cable, display power harness and external
key harnesses are routed in front of the head unit black box.
Attach the i905 screen and keys to the LC70 screen bracket with the screws provided.

Assemble Fascia
With the fascia placed face down, t the microphone into the fascia. Place the LC70
bracket with screen and keys into position. Ensure that the microphone cable remains
clear of the bracket assembly.

Fasten the bracket to the fascia with the fascia screws provided. Carefully plug the
microphone wire into the rear of the keys.

CAUTION
Be extremely careful with
the microphone plug as it
is easy to damage.

Assemble and Install Fascia
Route the microphone wire across the back of the bracket as illustrated above.
Flip the fascia assembly over and ensure that the keys, screen and Alpine logo are
positioned centrally, perfectly horizontally and have consistent gaps all around. If any
adjustment is needed, loosen the screws on the rear of the bracket and reposition
accordingly.
Install the fascia assembly into the dash and plug in the display cable, display power
harness and the key harness.

NOTE
You may have to
manipulate the tabs
slightly by hand to secure
the wiring eectively.
