Overview:
TheAltronixAL802ULADAisanextremelycosteffective8ampremotepowersupply/batterycharger.Itmaybeconnected
toany12or24voltFireAlarmControlPanel(FACP).PrimaryapplicationsincludeNotificationApplianceCircuit(NAC
suchasstrobesandhorns)expansionsupporttomeetADArequirements.Italsoprovidesauxiliarypowertosupportsystem
accessories.Theunitdeliverselectronicallyregulatedandfiltered24voltpowertoClassB,StyleW,X,YorClassA,Style
ZNACloopcircuits.Additionally,aseparate1.0Aauxiliaryoutputforfour(4)-wiresmokedetectorsisavailable.The8
ampmax.alarmcurrentcanbedividedbetweenthefour(4)outputsforpoweringNACdevices.Eachoutputisratedat2.5
ampmax.,andcanbeindependentlyprogrammedforSteady,TemporalCode3orStrobeSynchronization.Alloutputsmay
beprogrammedforInputtoOutputFollowerMode(outputwillfollowinput).Anindividualoutputof4ampisachievedby
paralleling2outputs.Innon-alarmconditionindependentloopsupervisionforClassA,StyleZand/orClassB,StyleW,X,
YFACPNACcircuitsisprovided.Intheeventofalooptrouble,theFACPwillbenotifiedviathesteeredinput(input1or
input2).Inaddition,therearecommontroubleoutputterminals(NC,C,NO)whichareusedtoindicategeneralloop/system
trouble.AcommontroubleinputisprovidedforoptionalNC(normallyclosed)devicestoreporttroubletotheFACP.Two
(2)FACPsignalingoutputscanbeemployedanddirectedtocontrolsupervisionandpowerdeliverytoanycombinationof
thefour(4)outputs.

1.Mountunitinthedesiredlocation.Markandpredrillholesinthewalltolineupwiththetoptwokeyholesinthe
enclosure.Installtwoupperfastenersandscrewsinthewallwiththescrewheadsprotruding.Placetheenclosure’s
upperkeyholesoverthetwoupperscrews;levelandsecure.Markthepositionofthelowertwoholes.Removethe
enclosure.Drillthelowerholesandinstalltwofasteners.Placetheenclosure’supperkeyholesoverthetwoupper
screws.Installthetwolowerscrewsandmakesuretotightenallscrews(Enclosure Dimensions, pg. 12).

5. Setoutputselectionswitchesmarked[OUT1throughOUT4]tofollowcorrespondinginput[IN1&IN2]and
desiredoutputsignaltype (Output Programming Selection Table, pg. 4).
6. ConnectFACPoutputtothedesiredAL800LGK9Elogicboardinputs,andnotificationappliancestothedesired
AL800LGK9Elogicboardoutputs(see Application Guide).
Note:The2-wirehorn/strobesyncmodewillonlysynchronizehorns,horn/strobes,strobeswith
synchronizationcapability.
