General information
Reading and storing the user manual
This user manual accompanies this electric wine set (hereafter
referred to as the “product”), and contains important information
on setup and usage.
Before using the product, read the user manual carefully. This
particularly applies to the safety instructions. Failure to do so may result in
personal injury or damage to the product.
Store the user manual for further use. Make sure to include this user manual
when passing the product on to third parties.
Proper use
The product is exclusively designed for removing cork stoppers from wine
bottles. It is only intended for personal use and not suitable for commercial
purposes.
Only use the product as described in this user manual. Any other use is
considered improper and may result in damage to property or persons.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for damages or injury incurred through
improper or incorrect use.
Explanation of symbols
The following symbols are used in this user manual, on the product or on the
packaging.
This symbol provides you with useful additional information on
handling and use.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed including the following.

Improper handling of the product may result in injury.
− Read all instructions.
− Do not use the product in damp rooms or in the rain.
− Do not use the product for other than the intended use.
− Never insert any objects into the housing.
− Use of attachments not recommended or sold by the
manufacturer may cause fire, electrical shock, injury or
damage to the product.
− Do not touch or adjust the mechanism or the corkscrew
spiral. Hold the product by its housing only.
− Do not operate the product in the presence of explosive
and/or flammable fumes.
− The corkscrew spiral and foil cutter are sharp. Handle
carefully.

− The product can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge
if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning the use of the product in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children must not play
with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance must
not be performed by unsupervised children.
− Keep children under the age of 8 away from the product.
− Do not allow the product to be used as a toy. Close
supervision is necessary when used by or near children.
− Make sure that children do not play with the plastic
wrapping. They may get caught in it when playing and
suffocate.

− Place the product on an easily accessible, level, dry and
sufficiently stable surface. Do not place the product on the
edge of the surface.
− Never place the product on or near hot surfaces
(stovetops, etc.).
− Never expose the product to high temperatures (heaters
etc.) or to the effects of the weather (rain etc.).

− Never fill the product with liquid.
− Never attempt to clean the product by immersing it in
water and do not use a steam cleaner to clean it.
Otherwise, you could damage the product.
− Never place the product in the dishwasher. It would be
destroyed as a result.
− Never force the product onto a bottle or attempt to speed
up the mechanism. The product will work best when it is
operated at its intended speed.
− Stop using the product if its plastic parts exhibit cracks or
breaks or are deformed. Only replace damaged parts with
corresponding original spare parts.
Battery notes
WARNING!
Health hazards!
There is a high health hazard if children or animals swallow the
batteries.
− Store the batteries so they are not accessible to children or
animals.
− If you suspect a battery has been swallowed, immediately
seek medical advice.
− Batteries should only be installed or replaced by an adult.
WARNING!
Risk of explosion or battery leakage!
Improper handling of batteries increases the risk of explosion or
battery leakage.
− Store the batteries in a cool, dry place. Never expose the
batteries to excessive heat (e.g. direct sunlight) and never
throw them in a fire.

− Only use batteries of the same type.
− Ensure the correct polarity when inserting the batteries.
This is shown inside the battery compartment. Incorrect
installation may damage the product.
− Always use batteries of premium quality. Batteries of poor
quality may leak and cause damage. Before inserting
the batteries, make sure the contacts inside the battery
compartment and on the battery itself are clean and
intact. Clean them if necessary.
− Always replace all batteries in a battery compartment at
the same time.
− Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
− Do not short-circuit batteries.
− Remove the batteries before disposing of the product.
− Remove the batteries from the product if they are spent.
Also remove the batteries if you do not intend to use the
product for a prolonged period of time. Otherwise, the
batteries may leak and cause damage.
− If the batteries leak, remove them immediately to prevent
damaging the product. Do not remove the batteries with
your bare hands or allow the battery fluid to come into
contact with skin, eyes or mucous membranes. Wear
normal household gloves to do so. If, however, your skin
has come into contact with the battery fluid, wash your
hands immediately and consult a doctor if necessary.

Checking the product and package contents
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a
sharp knife or other pointed object, you may quickly damage
the product.
− For this reason, be very careful when opening it.
1. Take the product out of the packaging.
2. Check to make sure that all parts are included (see Fig. A).
3. Check whether the product or individual parts are damaged. If this is the
case, do not use the product. Contact the manufacturer via the service
phone number indicated on the warranty card.
Basic cleaning
1. Remove the packaging material.
2. Clean all parts of the product before first use as described in the chapter
“Cleaning”.
Inserting or replacing the batteries
1. Open the battery compartment cover 10 by sliding it upwards (see Fig. B).
The battery compartment cover can be found on the backside of the electric
corkscrew 1.
2. Insert 4 AA batteries 9into the battery compartment. Pay attention to the
correct battery polarity (+ or –) (see Fig. B).
For battery replacement, remove the old batteries first.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
Using the electric corkscrew
1. Use the foil cutter 7to remove any foil from the bottle before removing
the cork. To do so, place the foil cutter around the neck of the bottle and
then rotate it while pressing it gently (see Fig. C).
2. Place the electric corkscrew 1on the top of the wine bottle, making sure
that it remains as upright as possible at all times.

If you hold the electric corkscrew at an angle to the bottle, the cork will not
be removed properly.
3. Hold the electric corkscrew firmly and press and hold the cork removal
button 3(see Fig. D).
The corkscrew spiral 11 will rotate clockwise and enter the cork, and will
then gradually remove the cork from the bottle.
When the corkscrew stops, the cork has been fully removed from the bottle.
4. Release the cork removal button and lift the electric corkscrew away from
the bottle.
5. Press and hold the cork ejection button 2to remove the cork from the
corkscrew (see Fig. E).
The corkscrew spiral will rotate counterclockwise to release the cork.
6. Release the cork ejection button once the cork has come off the corkscrew
spiral and return the electric corkscrew to the storage base 6.
Using the accessories
Wine preserver pump and wine stopper
Use the wine preserver pump and a wine stopper for preserving the flavor of
opened wine for up to 3–5 days.
1. Push a wine stopper 5into the opening of an opened bottle. Make sure
the wine stopper sits firmly at the opening.
2. Place the wine preserver pump 8on top of the wine stopper (see Fig. F).
3. Press the wine preserver pump against the wine stopper and start
pumping by using the handle of the wine preserver pump (see Fig. G).
4. Stop pumping when it becomes hard to pull the handle. This indicates an
optimal vacuum seal of the bottle has been achieved.
If there is more than half a bottle of wine remaining, the above
steps should sufficiently remove the air and seal the bottle. For less
than half a bottle of wine, it is recommended to repeat steps 3–4
a second time to ensure all the air has been removed.
5. Remove the wine preserver pump from the wine stopper.
6. Use the date indicator 12 on the wine stopper to mark the date the bottle
was sealed (see Fig. H).
To remove the wine stopper from a sealed bottle, move the pin on
top of the wine stopper sidewards to allow some air to go into the
bottle. Then firmly hold the bottle with one hand and gently ease
the wine stopper away from the bottle with the other hand.

Wine aerator
− Attach the wine aerator 4to the bottle before pouring the wine out. It
aerates the wine while the wine is poured from the bottle, improving the
flavor of the wine.
Cleaning
NOTICE!
Risk of short circuit!
Water or other liquids that have penetrated the housing may
cause a short circuit.
− Make sure that no water or other liquids penetrate the
housing.
− Never immerse the corkscrew in water or other liquids.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the corkscrew or accessories may result in
damage to them.
− Do not use any aggressive cleaners, brushes with metal or
nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such
as knives, hard scrapers and the like. They could damage
the surfaces.
− Do not put the corkscrew or accessories in the dishwasher,
as this will destroy it.
− Clean the wine stoppers 5and wine aerator 4in soapy water. Rinse
them thoroughly and then wipe dry all parts with a dry cloth.
− Use a damp cloth to wipe off other parts of the corkscrew. Then let all parts
dry completely.

Storage
All parts must be completely dry before being stored.
− Remove the batteries 9from the electric corkscrew 1and store the
batteries properly.
− Always return all parts to the storage base 6for storage.
− Always store the product in a dry area.
− Protect the product from direct sunlight.
− Store the product so that it is not accessible to children.
