QUICK START GUIDE

Check the following items in the package, if of these items are missing, please
contact your dealer. (As shown below)
1. Open the shipping carton, unpack the printer and remove the tape from around the front
cover as shown. Save all the original packing materials, so that they can be reused
when transporting the printer.

2. Make sure the power switch is OFF. Open the front cover. Move the printhead to the center of
the printer. Refer to the “Ribbon Clamp Installation”label located inside the printer for proper
positioning.
3. Adjust the GAP LEVER to the “Ribbon Replace”highest position.
4. With the ribbon cartridge in hand (the side with the knob faces the user), turn the ribbon knob
according to the arrow direction, so that the ribbon slack is removed.
5. To avoid damage, keep fingers away from print head cable harness located behind ribbon
cartridge.
6. Position of the ribbon cartridge inside the printer chassis; make the cartridge buckles on both sides
aim at the slots of the printer, push it forward until it is locked in place.
7. Carefully slide the plastic RIBBON SHIELD onto the left and right carrier pins. Verify the shield is
seated against the printhead carrier.
8. Rotate the RIBBON FEED KNOB in the direction of the arrow to remove fabric slack.
9. Move the printhead several times to make sure the ribbon is installed and functioning properly.
10. After installing the ribbon cartridge, reposition the gap lever to the proper form thickness, and close
the printer cover.

1. Insert the tray gently into the slot at the front of the printer, then
push it forward until it is locked in place. Position the paper
guide to zero on tray scale for proper form alignment.
2. To remove the Paper Support tray, hold the left and right ends
of the tray with both hands; pull it towards you and lift.
Note: When transporting the printer remove the paper
support.
1. Align the D-shape opening of the paper feed knob with D-shaped metal
shaft. Slide the plastic knob onto the metal shaft (as shown below).
1. Remove ribbon cartridge from the plastic bag. Detach blue ribbon
shield form cartridge.
