EINFÜHRUNG
Diese Anleitung soll dem Benutzer ein Leitfaden für die optimale Nutzung des Rechargeable Metal D Systems
sein. Lesen Sie diese Anleitung bitte sehr sorgfältig bevor Sie die Lampe in Betrieb nehmen. Wir sind sicher,
dass Sie mit dem Wissen zum optimalen Einsatz der Rechargeable Metal D und ihrem Systemzubehör viel
Freude an dieser Ausrüstung haben werden und dass dieses System Ihre Arbeit, bzw. Ihre Freizeitaktivitäten
dann optimal erleichtern wird. Wir gratulieren Ihnen zu Ihrer Entscheidung zur Rechargeable Metal D.
Diese Anleitung zeigt Ihnen alle Systembestandteile des Sets, gibt Instruktionen zur Inbetriebnahme, zeigt
technische Daten und Hinweise and gibt Tipps, was Sie tun sollten, und was Sie besser nicht tun sollten.

INHALT DES LAMPEN SETs
Zunächst überprüfen Sie bitte den Inhalt des Sets auf Vollständigkeit. Je nach bestelltem Set wird dies wie in den
beiden oben gezeigten Bildern 01 und 02 aussehen. Das Set besteht aus:
• Lampenkörper
• Wandhalter inkl. mikroprozessor gesteuerter Ladetechnik
• Lade Adapter 230 V AC
• Lade Adapter 12-24V DC (für Fahrzeuge)
• 1x 3000 mAh NiMH Akkupack (bei Sondereditionen liegt optionaler 2. Pack bei)
• optional: 1 Ersatzbirne (je nach Edition, separat dem Set beigelegt)
• optional: Lederholster zur Befestigung der Lampe am Gürtel des Benutzers

Image 04 zeigt das offene Set, Image 05 zeigt ein Set speziell für die Anforderungen von Polizeidienststellen in
Südeuropa.
INBETRIEBNAHME DES LAMPENSYSTEMS
Akkupacks werden immer leer geliefert – laden Sie diese also
zuerst. Image 06 zeigt 2 Möglichkeiten, diese Packs zu laden:
Entweder innerhalb der Lampe direkt - oder direkt in der
Ladestation (Wandhalter / KFZ-Halter).
Es ist NICHT erforderlich, den Haltegummi der Ladestation
abzunehmen, wenn Sie den Akkupack oder die Lampe in die
Station einlegen oder daraus entnehmen wollen. Legen Sie den
beigelegten Akkupack direkt in die Ladestation ein und
verbinden diese mittels Ladeadapter 230V AC ans Stromnetz,
oder – wenn das Set im Fahrzeug benutzt wird, verbinden Sie
die Ladestation mittels Ladeadapter 12-24V DC mit dem
Zigarettenanzünder des Fahrzeuges.

Natürlich können Sie den Akkupack auch zuerst in die Lampe einführen (ACHTUNG: Richtige Polung gemäß
Image 11, Seite 4 beachten) und diese dann in die Ladestation einlegen.
Sobald die Verbindung zum Stromnetz hergestellt ist, zeigt die Ladestation dies an. Zunächst wird der Akkupack
auf seinen Ladezustand überprüft, kurz darauf startet der Ladevorgang, die LED Farbe wechselt dazu auf ROT.
DIE ERSTLADUNG JEDES AKKUPACKS DAUERT ETWA 6 STUNDEN !
Nach Beendigung des Ladevorganges wechselt die Farbe der LED nach GRÜN.
Ihre Lampe ist nun einsatzbereit. Die mikroprozessorgesteuerte Ladetechnologie ist für den permanenten
Verbleib der Lampe in der Ladestation ausgelegt. Für professionellen Gebrauch empfehlen wir den Einsatz eines
weiteren AKKUPACKS, wobei ein Pack lädt, während der andere AKKUPACK in der Lampe in Betrieb ist.

Aktivieren Sie die geladene Lampe durch Drücken des Schalters. Image 07
Fokussieren Sie den Lampenkopf vorsichtig durch Drehen, vermeiden Sie ein Überdrehen -
Dieses gewaltsame Überdrehen kann zur Zerstörung des Reflektors führen.
Der Schaltdruckknopf ist eine spezielle äußerst geräuscharme Konstruktion:
Drücken des Schalters aktiviert die Lampe sowie eine vereinfachte Morsefunktion.
Erneutes Drücken deaktiviert die Lampe.
SCHRITTE: 1. MORSE Funktion und Licht AN – 2. Lampe AUS
Benutzen Sie Ihre Lampe in dunklen Gebieten zum Ausleuchten - vermeiden Sie jeglichen Mißbrauch etwa als
Schlagwerkzeug oder Wurfgeschoss, damit Sie lange ungetrübte Freude an der Lampe haben.
ERSETZEN DER BIRNE:
Drehen Sie den Lampenkopf gegen den Uhrzeigersinn los und entfernen Sie auf gleiche Weise den
silberfarbenen Lampenhalter. Sie können nun die Birne entnehmen und austauschen. Setzen Sie das System in
umgekehrter Reihenfolge wieder zusammen.

LAMPE
AUSTAUSCH DES AKKUPACKS:
Schrauben Sie den (je nach Ausführung den ein- oder
zweiteiligen) Lampenfuß gegen den Uhrzeigersinn vom
Lampenkörper. Der Akkupack nebst Lampenfuß kann
nun entnommen werden. Legen Sie den geladenen
Akkupack in den Lampenkörper (Achten Sie auf die
richtige Polung (Siehe Bild 11). Drehen Sie den
Lampenfuß vorsichtig wieder auf.
ACHTUNG: Reparaturversuche und Öffnen des
Akkupacks oder anderer Komponenten des Lampen
Systems kann zu schweren Fehlern und Zerstörungen am
Lampen System führen – in jedem Falle führen sie zum
Erlöschen jeglicher Garantieansprüche! Abgesehen vom
Austausch der Birne sind jegliche Reparaturen Sache der
Profis – fragen Sie ggf. den ANSMANN ENERGY
SERVICE.

Verlust jeglicher Garantieansprüche. Akkupacks sind – wie Birnen – Verbrauchsgüter. ANSMANN
ENERGY gewährt auf die ordnungsgemäße Technik und Konstruktion des Akkupacks hier ein Jahr
Garantie. Ladung nur durch Einlegen in die Ladestation oder entsprechend eingelegt in der Lampe.
Keine direkte Ladung erlaubt durch direkten Anschluss an etwaige Ladegeräte – dies kann zu ernsthaften
Schäden führen und hat das Erlöschen der Garantie zur Folge.

LADE STATION (Wand-/KFZ-Halter) [Fortsetzung]
LADEVORGANG:
Legen Sie die Lampe zum Beladen in die Ladestation
und verbinden Sie diese entweder mit dem AC Lade-
Adapter oder dem 12-24V DC Adapter. Nach Abschluss
des Ladevorganges wird der Akkupack mittels
Erhaltungsladung versorgt.
Dank der mikroprozessorgesteuerten Ladetechnologie
kann die Lampe bis zum Gebrauch in der Ladestation
verbleiben. Dies ermöglicht eine optimale Beladung
unabhängig vom Ladezustand der Batterie. Die
maximale Ladezeit bei leeren Batterien beträgt 6
Stunden.
Bei professionellem Gebrauch empfiehlt sich die
Ladung eines Reserveakkupacks während die Lampe
anderweitig in Gebrauch ist.

BEFESTIGUNG DER LADESTATION (WAND-/KFZ-HALTER):
Die Ladestation kann – je nach Nutzungsschwerpunkt -
entweder an der Wand oder im Fahrzeug montiert werden.
Achten Sie bei Wandmontage auf leichte Erreichbarkeit
einer Steckdose. Achten Sie auf eine sichere und fetse
Montage. Wir empfehlen, den Haltegummi der Ladestation
permanent montiert zu lassen – dies ermöglicht eine
sichere Positionierung, aber auch ein einfachen Einlegen
und Entnehmen der Lampe.
Bei Montage in Fahrzeugen sorgt der Haltegummi
ebenfalls für sichere Positionierung. Wir empfehlen
eine aufrechte Montage, um jegliche Gefahren und
Verletzungen bei Verkehrsunfällen durch die Station
oder die Lampe zu vermeiden. Befestigen Sie die
Lampe sorgsam – fragen Sie Ihre Werkstatt!

Lade Adapter
Das Rechargeable Metal D Set enthält 2 Lade Adapter, einen für die Nutzung in Büro oder
Haus (230V AC), den anderen für die Nutzung in diversen Fahrzeugen (12-24V DC).

ACHTUNG: Verbinden Sie die Adapter niemals direkt
mit dem Akkupack oder direkt mit der Lampe. Die
einzig erlaubte Verbindung führt ohne Ausnahme über
die Ladestation (Wand-/KFZ-Halter) !

Wenn Sie Ihr Zuhause, Büro oder Ihr
Fahrzeug verlassen, nehmen Sie die
Lampe aus der Ladestation. (Image 17).
Wir empfehlen, den Haltegummi der
Ladestation immer in Position zu
belassen.
Dies ermöglicht trotzdem das einfache
Entnehmen oder Einlegen der Lampe.
Die Lampe wird – Fuß voran – in das
Lederholster eingeführt – siehe Image

Generelle Hinweise
WARNUNG
Sichern Sie die das Rechargeable Metal D System gegen hohe
Luftfeuchtigkeit und Wasser ab. Setzen Sie es nicht extremen
Temperaturen aus. Zum Reinigen und Pflegen nehmen Sie bitte das
Set vom Stromnetz. Benutzen Sie zur Reinigung nur trockene Tücher.
Benutzen Sie das System nicht weiter bei jeglichen Zeichen von
Beschädigungen an Gehäusen, Verbindungskabeln, der Ladestation
oder den DC oder AC Lade Adaptern.
Öffnen Sie weder die Ladestation noch den AC oder DC Adapter!
Zuwiderhandlungen können ernsthafte Schäden zur Folge haben
und führen darüber hinaus zum Verlust etwaiger Garantieansprüche.

INTRODUCTION
This manual should be a guideline for the successful operation with the Rechargeable Metal D system. Please
read this manual carefully before using the torch. We are sure that you will have a lot of joy and during your job
a much more easier life, when familiar with the correct handling of the torch and its components.
This manual shows the components of the set, gives instruction for proper operation, technical data and tips on
what to do and what you should avoid to do.

THE SET INCLUDES:
First of all please check if the set is complete. Depending on the set you have ordered you may receive the
flashlight set, as outlined in images 01 and 02. The set consists of:
• Torch
• Wall holder incl. microprocessor controlled charger
• Charging adaptor 230 V AC
• Charging adaptor 12-24V DC (vehicle)
• 1 x 3000 mAh NiMH battery pack (optional spare pack with special versions)
• Optional: spare bulb (depending on the version, enclosed to the set)
• Optional: leather pouch to fix to the user’s belt

Image 04 shows the unpacked set, image 05 shows the specific set for a Police Department in southern Europe.
Use of the torch
Battery packs always come empty –you need to charge them first. Image 06 shows two ways how to charge
these packs:
Either inside the lamp or directly in the charging station
(wall or car holder).
It is not necessary to release the holding strap while inserting
the battery pack or the torch for charging.
While your torch set parcel still shows the lamp inside the
charger (car/wall holder), now connect this charger via the
charging adaptor 230V AC to the main source socket, or – in
case of using the set in a vehicle, connect the car charging
adaptor 12-24V DC to the cigarette socket.

The plain battery pack can be fitted into wall - car holder directly.
As soon as connected, the holding device indicates activity. It checks the battery pack first and will then start
charging indicating a red colour LED light.
THE INITIAL CHARGE OF EACH BATTERY PACK TAKES ABOUT 6 HOURS!
After completion of the charging process, the red LED will change to green.
The torch is now ready to use. Thanks to the microprocessor controlled charging technology the torch can
remain permanently in the charging station. If used continuously, we suggest to charge a spare battery pack
while one is in use, that can be swapped over as required.

To adjust the light cone focus turn the head clockwise. Be careful and avoid
screwing over the stop with too much force as this can damage the reflector.
The push button is a special noiseless construction:
Pressing the push button activates normal light operation and the MORSE function.
Pressing the push button again deactivates the lamp.
STEPS: 1. MORSE function and light on – 2. Lamp OFF
Use your torch to illuminate dark areas and do not misuse it as missile or the like to ensure a long term proper
use.
REPLACEMENT OF THE BULB:
Turn the head of the lamp anti-clockwise and remove first the complete head, then the bulb base. Unscrew the
black lamp base screw and take out the bulb. Replace the bulb and put the whole together in reverse order.

TORCH
REPLACEMENT OF THE BATTERY PACK:
Unscrew the bottom of the lamp anti-clockwise. Base and battery pack can now be removed and the recharged
spare battery pack can be inserted into the body of the lamp (pay attention to the correct polarity as outlined in
image 11).
Close the torch by carefully
screwing the bottom part onto
the lamp body.
ATTENTION: Due to
guarantee reasons do not
open, demount or try to repair
the battery pack as this could
be dangerous.
Any repair is job of the
professionals – one
exception: Feel free to
replace the bulb, of course.

ATTENTION: Do not try to open up that battery pack, due to loss of any guarantee. Nevertheless it is a
consumable article that has 1 year guarantee. Charging only inside the wall/car holder directly or via the
torch. No direct charging allowed due to loss of guarantee.

Wall Holder / Car Holder Charging Station con’t
CHARGING:
To recharge the torch put it into the wall mounting
station and use either the AC power supply or the 12-
24V DC adaptor. At the end of charging period the
battery is powered by trickle charge.
Thanks to this microprocessor controlled charging
technology the lamp can be left attached to the
charger/wall bracket until it is needed. It allows easy
recharging regardless of the charging status of the
battery. With empty batteries the maximum charging
time of the torch is 6 hours.
It is also possible to recharge a spare battery pack in the
wall mounting station while the torch is in use
elsewhere.

FIXING OF THE WALL HOLDER:
The wall bracket can either be attached to the wall or
mounted in the car.
When mounting to the wall, a mains socket should be
within easy reach. Please ensure proper fixing of the
station. We suggest leaving the strap in position. That
allows to hold the flashlight in position and also to remove
it or return it easily.
If used in the car, the torch should anyway be fixed
with a rubber band to hold it in place. The station
implementation should be in stand-up position or in
that way to avoid any damages or injuries in cases of
accidents of the vehicle caused by station and/or lamp.
Please fix that station very carefully.

Charging Adaptor
The Rechargeable Metal D set contains 2 charging adaptors, one for the office or home use
(230V AC), the other one for use inside a vehicle (12-24V DC).

ATTENTION: Never connect adaptors directly to the
battery pack – neither directly via the torch. The only
allowed connection is the plug of the wall holder
charging station!

Leather Pouch (Art. 10760011)
When leaving your home, office or your
car, remove the torch from the charging
station (Image 17).
We recommend leaving the strap which
is holding the torch in secured position.
Nevertheless that allows to easily insert
or remove the torch.
The lamp must be inserted into the
leather pouch as outlined in image 18.

General Instructions
WARNING
Protect the Rechargeable Metal D system against high humidity and
water. Do not expose to extreme temperatures. For cleaning and
maintenance disconnect the power supply from the mains. To clean
the Rechargeable Metal D use only a dry cloth.
Do not use if there are signs of damage to the housing, cables of
connectors of the torch, wall bracket, DC or AC adaptors.
Never try to open the AC adaptor.
