This present manual refers to the MAXIHYDRO wet dust collectors. It includes important
informaonconcerningtheinstallaon,operaonandmaintenanceofyourcollector.Readthis
manualthoroughlyandapplythedirecvesandprocedures.Staandpersonnelusingthesystem
willhavetobetrainedonsafetymeasuresandmaintenanceinstrucons.
The scrubberisdesignedtolterexplosivemetaldustssuchhasaluminum.Itcanlter
anyparculatedustthatsinksinapoolwater.Therearenomovingparts,ltraonisprovidedby
thedustyairbeingforcedthroughadeterminedwaterlevel,thiscausingaviolentwateragitaon
andmisttheairmustthengoaroundbaesandwatereliminatorsaerwhichthecleanedairis
returned to the plant.
TYPE B MSscrubberuseadragbarconveyortomechanicallyremovesludgefromtheselingtank
todischargeitinacontainer.Anaddedinstruconmanualthatcoverstheconveyorissupplied
separately.scrubbersareofalowsilhoueedesign.Aspraysystemisinstalledatthe
boomoftheselingtanktouidizethesedimentedsludgewhereitisdrainedtoaconveniant
locaon.

Figure3showsthewatercontrolsystem.Waterpressureof50to60psiisrecommended.Theball
valvewatercontrolisalwaysrunwiththefan,andisalwaysopenwhentheunitisoperaonal.The
llingwatervalve,whichisalwaysclosedwhentheunitisworkingisusedtorapidlylltheunitto
staclevel.
Thewaterinletisthreadedforconvenienceinconnecngtothemainwatersystem.Theballvalve
assemblywithitsoatcanbeseenthroughtheinspeconwindow.Thestacwaterlevelisatthe
boomofthewindowandthisiswhereyouwillrecordtheworkingwaterlevel.Whenthefanis
turnedon,thearmoftheballmayhavetobeadjustedtotheworkingwaterlevel.

Checktoensurethattheunitislevelinalldirecons.
  
Checkthatthegasketbetweentheinletductandthetransioninterfaceiscorrectlyposioned
betweentheangesandthattheangesareghtlybolted.
Connecttheinletandoutletducngtotheunit.Checkthatthegasketsarecorrectlyposioned
betweentheductrunsandtheunit,andthatallunionsareghtlybolted.

TheMSTypeStyleAisahighlyecientdustcollectorwithalownoiselevel.Itcaneasilybe
installedinsideaplantortoolroom,andheatedorcooledaircanbedischargedbackintotheshop.
TheMSTypeStyleAcomeswithahandrakeandsludgebinforsludgedisposal.

Wheneverthefanisstopped,thesupplyofwateristurned
o.Similarily,whenthefanisturnedon,thesolenoidvalve
opensandmaintainsthewaterlevelautomacally.
Toadjusttheworkingwaterlevel,thisshouldbedonewhilebalancingtheairvolume.Thewater
levelgreatlyinuencestheairvolume,tomuchwaterreducesairvolume,lowwaterlevelproduces
increasedairvolumeandpossiblywaterbypass.



Thiswillprovidetheworkingwaterlevel.Floatvalveshouldbeadjustedat(B)forthiswaterlevel.
Toadjust(B)loosennutandslideupordowntheridgedpipeatthedesiredlevel.
Whenthewaterleveldropsduetoevaporaon,thesolenoidvalveassemblywillallowsucient
waterintotheunittobringitbacktoWorkingWaterLevel.Iftheunitisoverlled,duetothe
solenoidvalveassemblybeingjammed,waterwillescapethroughtheoverowpipe,whichised
inside,passthroughtheoverowreservoirandspilloutsidetheunit.

4. Install a ground wire to the unit.
5. Lift the filter cabinet using the lift lugs. Using spikes, position the cabinet
above the dust storage section making sure to align the cabinet bolt holes
with the dust storage bolt holes.
6. Lower the filter cabinet onto the dust storage section and align the bolt holes.
7. Attach the filter cabinet to the dust storage section using the supplied nuts,
washers and bolts. Tighten bolts for an adequate seal.

WARNING
Apply two strips of butyl adhesive on the dust storage section upper
outline. One strip should be applied inward of the bolt holes and one
strip outward of the bolt holes (Figure 4).

The use of a spreader is recommended to avoid
damages to the filter cabinet.

Checktoensurethattheinspeconwindow,locatedatthedischargeendoftheunitisghtly
bolted.
  
Fitthefantotheoutletendofthecollector.Forthebestperformanceofthefan,thelengthof
straightductbetweentheunitdischargeandthefaninletshouldbevemestheinletdiameter.
Checkthatthefaniscorrectlyinstalledandisrmlysealed.
Trialstartfantoensurethattherotaonofthebladesiscorrect,andthatthereisnovibraon.
  
Connectwaterpipetotheunit’swatercontrolsystem.Checkthewaterpipesbytrialrunningwater
throughthem,andghteningjointsifnecessary.
  
Whentheunitisoperangtheunitwillbesupplied.Forsludgeremoval,theunitissuppliedwitha
sludgerake-outchute,forsludgeremoval,bringacontainerordumptruckunderthechute,open
therake-outdoor,usethesuppliedrakeandslowlyreachintothetank,pulltheraketowardsthe
chuteandconnueuptheslopeanddischargesludgeintothecontainer,connueunltheoor
seemsfreeofsludge,removecontainer,replacerake-outdoor.Unitisreadytooperate.

Oncethewatercontrolsystemhasbeensetcorrectlythe
systemshouldnotbere-adjusted.Thisunitwillgiveconstant
eciencyandairow.

Thechartindicatedbelowshowsdierentinspeconsandthefrequencyatwhichtheyshouldbe
performed.

13.1 Coverage: AireauQualityControlInc.oritsdesignatedaliate(the"Seller")sellingtheproduct
(the"Product"),warrantsthattheProductsoldbySellerwillbefreefromdefectsinmaterialand
workmanshipforaperiodof12monthsfromthedateofitsinstallaonor14monthsfromthe
dateofshipmentbySeller,whicheverdateisearlier(the"WarrantyPeriod").
13.2 Excepons: ThiswarrantydoesnotapplytoanyProductorporonthereofthat:(i)hasbeenused
inamannernotincompliancewithSeller’sormanufacturer’sdocumentaonandinstrucons,(ii)
hashadchanges,alteraonsorrepairsmadebyapersonotherthanapersonauthorizedbySeller,
(iii)hasbeenimproperlyinstalledorusedorhasbeeninstalledorusedcontrarytoapplicable
codes,standards,lawsandregulaons,(iv)hasbeensubjectedtoimproperstorage,accident,
neglect,misuseorabuse,(v)hasbeendamagedduringshipping,(vi)hasbeensubjecttodamages
resulngfromnormalwearandtear,(vii)hasnotbeenusedwithappropriatereprotecon
systemsorexplosionvenngwhenrequiredor(viii)hasnotbeeninstalledbyalicensedcontractor
withexperienceinreandexplosionhazardsandapplicablecodes,lawsandregulaons.For
greatercertainty,thiswarrantydoesnotapplytolterssoldaspartof,orforusewith,theProduct.
UnlessspecicallyacceptedotherwiseinwringbySeller,Sellerdoesnotwarrantthatelectrical
equipmentwillcomplywithanylawsorregulaonsofthecustomer’sjurisdicon.
13.3 Claims: Tobenetfromthiswarranty,customermustnofySellerinwringoftheProductdefect,
whichnoceshallincludeareasonabledescriponofthedefect,within10daysfromthedatesuch
defectisdiscoveredoroughttohavebeendiscovered.
13.4 Remedy: DuringtheWarrantyPeriodandsubjecttothetermsherein,Sellerwill,atitsopon,
either:(i)repairorreplacetheProductoranydefecvepartsorcomponents(exceptforlters)
withProduct,partsorcomponents(exceptlters)freefromdefector(ii)creditorrefundthe
purchasepriceoftheProduct.IfSellersorequests,customermustreturnthedefecveProductto
Seller’splaceofbusinessdeterminedbySeller.Shipping,installaon,removalandre-installaon
costswillbesolelybornebythecustomer.



14.3 Fire and Explosion and Acceptance of Risk: Customeracknowledgesthatimproperinstallaon
oruseoftheProductmayresultinreorexplosion.Tominimizesuchrisks,properinstallaon,
operaon,andmaintenanceoftheProductinaccordancewithallapplicablecodes,standards,laws
andregulaonsiscrical.Priortoinstallaonanduse,customershallensurethattheProductmeets
theapplicablecodes,lawsandregulaons,includingthoserelatedtotheaddionofappropriate
reproteconsystemsorexplosionvenng.Installaonshallbeperformedbyalicensedcontractor
withexperienceinreandexplosionandapplicablecodes,lawsandregulaons.
  
 15.1 ThetermshereinconstutetheonlywarrantygivenbySellerwithrespecttotheProduct.No
othertermsandcondions,whetherincludedonapurchaseorderorinanyotherdocument,shall
applyorbindtheSellerwithrespecttotheProductwarrantyandallsuchtermsandcondionsand
documentsareexpresslydisclaimed.
  
 16.1 ThesewarrantytermswillbegovernedbyandconstruedunderthelawsinforceintheProvince
ofOntario,Canada,excludingitsconictoflawrules.
