Larger Impeller

We increased the size of the impeller from 131⁄2"

to 141⁄2" for improved performance.

The new part number for the 141⁄2" impeller is

P0440014A.

Improved Magnetic Switch

We improved the remote controlled magnetic

switch since the manual was originally printed.

The new switch features an overload device that

requires the cyclone to be restarted after it has

been overloaded. The new features of the switch

are described below:

POWER: Lights up when there is power to the

machine.

RUN: Lights up when the machine is running.

OVER: Lights up if the machine has been over-

loaded. Machine will not start again until it has

been reset at the main switch.

To reset the machine from the overload state, turn

the main switch OFF, then ON.





































Getting Started

This procedure takes approximately 2 hours to

complete and requires you to provide the materi-

als listed below.

To install the upgrade kit components:

1. Unfasten the screws on the filter intake port.

2. Use a razor or putty knife to cut the silicone

around the filter intake port.

3. Cut the silicone around the black box.

4. Unfasten the screws under the black box,

and pry off the box plate.

5. Separate the intake port from the black box,

and completely clean off all remaining sili-

cone.

6. Pull or cut off the existing handle covers,

loosen the screw above the handles, and

remove the handles from the cable.

7. Unfasten the bolt at the top of the filter.

8. Unfasten the bolt at the bottom of the filter.

9. Remove the original brush handle holder.

11. Unfasten the screws at the bottom of the fil-

ter.

12. Remove the original brush.

13. Unfasten the screws from the original brush,

and throw away the old cable. (A new cable

is provided in the kit.)

10. Install the handle holder so it is directly below

the black box and about three squares from

the bottom of the filter.

15. Insert the new brush and base on the square

pipe. Make sure the pulley, brush screw, and

the holes at the top of the filter are aligned.

16. Fasten the square pipe base to the filter

frame.

17. Feed the new cable up through the brush,

over the pulley, and back down through the

brush, making sure the brush screw is facing

the pulley.

18. Feed both ends of the cable through the top

of the filter.

19. Feed the gasket over the cable and seat it

firmly on top of the filter.

14. Fasten the square pipe to the top of the fil-

ter.

20. Feed the cable over the pulleys in the black

box.

21. Fasten the black box to the top of the filter.

22. Feed the cable through the gasket and box

plate, then fasten the box plate to the black

box.

24. Pull the left side of the cable down until it

stops, and secure the stop bead up against

the handle holder.

23. Secure the stop bead on the right side of the

cable, approximately 12" from the end.

25. Loop the right side of the cable through a

handle, and pull the handle down to cinch the

cable tight.

26. Fasten the screw on the handle, and install

the other handle on the left side of the cable.

27. Insert the covers on the handles so the red

handle is on the right side and the black

handle is on the left side. (If you have difficul-

ties installing the covers, apply a little rubbing

alcohol on the handle to slide the covers on

easily. Allow the alcohol to dry before pulling

on the handles.)

28. Make sure that when the red handle is up the

filter brush is at the bottom of the filter.

29. Secure the brush to the right side cable by

tightening the screw on the brush clamp.

30. Fasten the filter intake with the screws.

31. Put silicone around the edges of the black

box and filter intake to seal them to the filter.

32. Use the two filter support gaskets between

the filter support braces and the filter when

reinstalling the filter on the cyclone.
