Mit dem Kauf dieser Leuchte haben Sie sich für ein Qualitätsprodukt entschieden. Es ist von
Fachleuten spe iell für den aquaristischen Gebrauch entwickelt und erprobt worden. Hochwertige
Technik und beste Materialien sowie modernes Design gewährleisten, dass Sie lange Freude an

Einsatzbereic
Die sunbeam ist eine Leuchte, die entweder unter eine Aquarienabdeckung geschraubt oder mit
einer Stahlseilaufhängung über dem Aquarium aufgehängt werden kann.
1. Tec nisc e Daten
Netzansc luss: 230 Volt, 50 H , andere Ausführungen (für USA, etc.) siehe Typenschild. Wattage
s. Typenschild.
Lieferumfang:
Sunbeam, Leuchte mit sprit wassergeschüt ten Fassungen für T5 Leuchtstofflampen (HO-
Lampen), 2 Stück Hochglan reflektoren.
2. Sic er eits inweise
!
•Die Leuchte darf nicht unter Wasser betrieben werden.
•Bei jedem Wechsel der Leuchtstofflampen ist der Net stecker u iehen.
!
•Wenn die Anschlussleitung beschädigt ist, darf sie nicht repariert werden. Die
Leuchte muss komplett erset t werden.
•Die Leuchte darf nicht geöffnet werden.
!
•Bei Arbeiten am Aquarium Net stecker der Leuchte iehen.
•Unternehmen Sie keine eigenen Reparaturversuche, sondern schicken Sie die
Leuchte ur Prüfung, ggfs. mit einer Mängelbeschreibung, ein.
• Fassungsringe müssen immer montiert und fest ange ogen werden. Niemals
ohne Fassungsringe betreiben.
3. Auspacken
Prüfen Sie die Leuchte nach dem Auspacken auf etwaige Beschädigungen. Bei Beanstandungen
wenden Sie sich bitte unver üglich an Ihren Fachhändler.
4. Leuc tmittel
Die Leuchten werden ohne Leuchtmittel ausgeliefert.
Wir empfehlen die T5 Leuchtstofflampen von AB Aqua Medic Ocean W ite und Ocean Blue für
Meerwasseraquarien sowie Ocean W ite und Planta für Süßwasseraquarien. Achten Sie auf die
Leuchtenlänge.

5. Lampenmontage/Lampenwec sel
Beim Ausbau alter Leuchtstofflampen werden unächst die Fassungsringe gelöst und über die
Röhre geschoben. Jet t lässt sich die Röhre entnehmen.
Bei der Montage neuer Leuchtstofflampen müssen unächst die Fassungsringe auf die Röhre
geschoben werden. Dann wird die Lampe eingeset t.
Bei der Montage der Leuchtstoffröhren ist darauf u achten, dass die Fassungsringe fest ange ogen
sind. Die Leuchten sind nur dann wasserdicht, wenn diese Ringe richtig montiert sind. Achten Sie
auch auf den richtigen Sit der Dichtung am Fassungsring.
Schalten Sie die Leuchte erst ein, wenn die Leuchtstofflampen montiert und die Fassungsringe
ange ogen sind. Erset en Sie defekte Fassungsringe durch Original Ersat teile von AB Aqua Medic.
6. Montage
Die sunbeam kann auf 2 verschiedene Weisen am Aquarium angebracht werden:
1. Sie wird direkt unter eine Abdeckung geschraubt. Da u werden Hol schrauben (nicht im
Lieferumfang enthalten) durch die Endkappen bis in die Unterlage . B. Hol abdeckung,
geschraubt.
2. Sie kann mit der Stahlseilaufhängung von AB Aqua Medic aquafit (nicht im Lieferumfang
enthalten) über dem Aquarium aufgehängt werden. Die Stahlseilaufhängung wird da u in die
entsprechenden Gewindelöcher der Endkappe geschraubt.
7. Wartung und Pflege
Die Stand eit der T5-Röhren beträgt ca. 6.000 – 8.000 Stunden. Dies entspricht etwa 1,5 Jahren
bei einer täglichen Brenn eit von 10 Stunden. Tauschen Sie die Röhren möglichst noch vor Ablauf
dieser Zeitspanne aus, da sich Leistung und Farb usammenset ung verändern.
Reinigen Sie die sunbeam von Zeit u Zeit mit einem feuchten Tuch. Verwenden Sie keine
Lösungsmittel.
8. Garantie
AB Aqua Medic GmbH gewährt eine 12-monatige Garantie ab Kaufdatum auf alle Material- und
Verarbeitungsfehler des Gerätes. Als Garantienachweis gilt der Original-Kaufbeleg. Während dieser
Zeit werden wir das Produkt kostenlos durch Einbau neuer oder erneuerter Teile instandset en
(ausgenommen Frachtkosten). Im Fall, dass während oder nach Ablauf der Garantie eit Probleme
mit Ihrem Gerät auftreten, wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Fachhändler.
Diese Garantie gilt nur für den Erstkäufer. Sie deckt nur Material- und Verarbeitungsfehler, die bei
bestimmungsgemäßem Gebrauch auftreten. Sie gilt nicht bei Schäden durch Transporte oder
unsachgemäße Behandlung, Fahrlässigkeit, falschen Einbau sowie Eingriffen und Veränderungen,
die von nicht-autorisierten Stellen vorgenommen wurden.
AB Aqua Medic GmbH haftet nicht für Folgeschäden, die durch den Gebrauch des Gerätes
entstehen.

Application
The sunbeam is a lighting system which can be fixed to the ceiling by a suspension kit or it can be
directly mounted underneath the aquarium cover.
1. Tec nical Data
Line voltage: 230 Volt/50 H (if not stated otherwise on the ID-label). For wattage, please refer
to the ID-label.
Included:
Sunbeam, lighting equipped with splash-proof sockets for T5 fluorescent lamps, 2 pieces of high
polish reflectors.
2. Safety instructions
!
•The lighting must not be used under water.
•In case of changing the fluorescent lamps, always disconnect the light from the
mains.
!
•In case the connection pipe is broken, don’t repair it yourself. The lamp has to
be exchanged completely.
•It is prohibited to open the lamp.
!
•When working on the aquarium, always pull the lamp’s plug beforehand.
•Please don’t try to repair the lighting system yourself but send it to AB Aqua
Medic for checking, preferably together with a list of defects.
•The socket rings have always to be mounted and fastened tightly. Don’t take
the lamp into operation without socket rings
3. Unpacking
On unpacking, please check the lighting system immediately for any damages. In case of any
complaints, please contact your dealer directly.
4. Lamps
The lighting system is being delivered without any lamps. We do recommend to use AB Aqua
Medic’s T5 fluorescent lamp “Ocean white” and “Ocean blue” for saltwater aquaria or “Ocean white”
and “Planta” for fresh water aquaria. Please respect the lamp’s length.

5. Lamp’s assembly / c ange of lamps
When changing the fluorescent lamp, first of all the socket rings have to be released and pushed
over the pipe. Now, the pipe can be taken out.
When assembling the new fluorescent lamp, first of all the socket rings have to be pushed on the
pipe. Then the lamp can be inserted.
Please make sure that the socket rings are mounted tightly on the pipe when mounting the lamp.
The lamps are only waterproof if the rings are mounted correctly. Also pay attention that the
sealing at the socket ring is mounted correctly.
Only turn on the light when the fluorescent lamp is mounted and the socket rings are fastened
tightly. Replace broken socket rings by new original ones by AB Aqua Medic.
6. Assembly
There are 2 different ways of mounting the sunbeam:
1. Mounting directly underneath the aquarium cover. To do so, wood screws (not included in
shipment) are screwed through the end caps into the base (e. g. wood cover).
2. It can be mounted onto the ceiling by AB Aqua Medic’s suspension kit aquafit (not included in
shipment). The suspension has to be screwed into the appropriate threaded holes of the end
caps.
7. Maintenance and Care
The service life of T5 bulbs will be about 6,000 to 8,000 hours. This corresponds to about 1,5 years
with a daily illumination time of 10 hours. It is recommended to exchange the bulbs before
expiration of this time interval since efficiency and colour composition change.
Clean the sunbeam from time to time using a moistened cloth. Never use any additional cleaning
agents!
8. Warranty
Should any defect in material or workmanship be found within 12 months of the date of purchase
AB Aqua Medic GmbH undertakes to repair or, at our option, replace the defective part free of
charge – always provided the product has been installed correctly, is used for the purpose that was
intended by us, is used in accordance with the operating instructions and is returned to us carriage
paid. The warranty term is not applicable on the all consumable products.
Proof of Purchase is required by presentation of an original invoice or receipt indicating the dealer’s
name, the model number and date of purchase, or a Guarantee Card if appropriate. This warranty
may not apply if any model or production number has been altered, deleted or removed,
unauthorised persons or organisations have executed repairs, modifications or alterations, or
damage is caused by accident, misuse or neglect.
We regret we are unable to accept any liability for any consequential loss.
Please note that the product is not defective under the terms of this warranty where the product,
or any of its component parts, was not originally designed and / or manufactured for the market in
which it is used.
These statements do not affect your statutory rights as a customer.
If your AB Aqua Medic GmbH product does not appear to be working correctly or appears to be
defective please contact your dealer in the first instance.
