User Manual
WARNING:
• Handle with care, the tip of the probe is sharp and can cause injury.
To measure temperature in °C / °F follow the simple instructions.
• Switch on the thermometer by clicking the ON/OFF button once. (See fig 1)
The LCD will display the temperature. The thermometer will automatically
power off, after 15mins if no activity.
• Select the function you wish to measure in. °C (Celsius) or °F (Fahrenheit) by
pressing the °C/°F button once. (see Fig 1) The LCD shows the selected icon
in the bottom right hand corner.
• Remove the protective sheath from the stem probe.
• Insert the tip of the probe into the area or object to be tested (Only the first
20mm from the tip of the thermometer probe will gain an accurate reading/
temperature measurement).
• The Stem Thermometer has a DATA HOLD function, that can also show
Max/Min measurement achieved.
• To use the HOLD function simply press the HOLD button once (see Fig1) This
will show the icon HOLD on the right of the temperature reading.
• To show the Maximum (MAX) temperature recorded simply press the HOLD
button once more and the MAX icon will show on the top right.
• To show the Minimum (MIN) temperature recorded simply press the HOLD
button once again and the MIN icon will show below.
• To switch off the thermometer, press the ON/OFF button once. (See fig 1) Or
the thermometer will automatically power off, after 15mins if no activity.
• Always re-cover the stem probe with protective sheath after use to prolong
the life of the instrument.
• The thermometer will display “ ” icon when battery is running low. Replace
battery with CR1220 3V button cell.
• To replace the battery turn the battery compartment anti-clockwise (OPEN),
this will release the battery cover, insert battery with (+) of battery facing
outwards, Push battery cover back in place and turn clock-wise to lock.

0.1°C/°F
• Out of Range Reset:
Should the thermometer go out of range:
Below -50°C the LCD panel will show “LO”
Above 330°C the LCD panel will show “HI”.
To reset the thermometer remove the battery completely, leave for approximately 10
seconds, then replace battery.

life, dispose of the instrument in a corresponding
recycling centre. Do not dispose of the unit with the
usual domestic refuse.
