Calypso is a vacuum pump with a one piston system.The controls allow each mother to customize the settings through
a flexible system for adjusting vacuum and cycles. The vacuum level remains stable when the user changes the cycle
settings. Likewise, the cycle remains stable when the user changes the vacuum settings. The minimum requirement to the
patient / operator: she has to be able to read and understand these instructions for use.

In these instructions you will find important and useful details which will
make your Calypso experience even more rewarding.

2. Important safety details
Calypso is an electrically-operated, safe and reliable breastpump for personal use. Calypso is constructed and assembled in
accordance with CE guidelines, and in compliance with safety standards (see section 9.2 Compliance). For your safety, to
avoid damage to the unit and to avoid risk of electric shock, injury or fire, please observe the following safety regulations.
The patient is also the intended operator.
The maximum temperature of the enclosure will be 50 °C. Under all conditions the contact of the patient with the pump unit
must not be longer than 1 minute. During this time no clinical effects will occur. Skin irritation can appear when contacting
the pump unit too long.

Safety Regulations
• After use, disconnect the Calypso from the mains power source by pulling the power adapter out of the socket.
• Disconnection from the outlet is only guaranteed if the power adapter is pulled out of the socket.
• Do not leave old batteries in the unit – danger of leakage.
• When using the unit connected to the mains, remove the batteries (danger of leakage).
• In the event of an accidental splash, or the unit falling into water – IMMEDIATELY disconnect it from the mains.
Do not touch the unit until it has been disconnected.
• The Calypso with the power adapter is designed for indoor use only. Do not use outdoors.
• Use the unit with the Ardo power adapter only.
• Do not open the unit (no user-serviceable parts).
• Calypso is not water-proof. Therefore the unit must never be immersed in water or other fluids, nor used or stored in
places where it might fall into the water. Do not use while in the bath or while taking a shower.
• Keep the power adapter and all accessories away from sources of heat.
• Do not use Calypso in an area where oxygen gas is in use or sprays are being applied.
• Only use a genuine Ardo pumpset and genuine Ardo parts. See section 4 (Start-up / Operation) and
section 7 (Maintenance / Care / Cleaning).
• Calypso should only be used for the purposes detailed in section 3 (Intended use).
• Please keep these instructions for use handy for reference at all times.
• Do not change the batteries during operation.

4.2 Preparing the pump for use
Mains operation:
• Insert the unit plug (h) of the power adapter (g) into the electrical
connection socket (i) of the unit (Fig. 1). The power adapter must
correspond to the local mains electricity supply.
Important: remove the batteries before plugging the unit into
the mains.
Battery operation:
• Release the latch (Fig. 2) and slide open the battery cover.
• Six LR 06 / AA batteries are required for use. Check the
+ / – mark orientation of the batteries (Fig. 3).
• Close the battery compartment cover and secure by re-engaging
the latch (Fig. 4).The average working life with a medium
vacuum and cycle setting is approximately 5 hours (Duracell
batteries). We recommend that you use Duracell batteries.

3. Intended use
The Calypso breastpump is intended to be used by lactating women to express and collect milk from their breast. It can be
used as a single pump and as a double pump. The unit is intended for indoor use only.
4. Start-up / Operation
For assistance in setting up, using or maintaining the breastpump please contact the point of sale or authorized
service personnel.
4.1 Controls

Connecting the pumpset
The pumpset is an applied part of Calypso. Use of the pumpset (b)
is detailed in the separate "Ardo Pumpset" instructions for use.
• To use the single pumpset: attach the tube connector (c) to the
pump (f) (Fig. 5).The second opening of the tube connector
remains closed.
• To use the double pumpset: Open the second opening of the tube
connector and attach the second pumpset (Fig. 6).
• Attach the tube connector (c) to the pump (f) (Fig. 7).

5. Pumping
Pumping milk should never be painful.
Starting pump
• Wash your hands thoroughly.
• Attach the pumpset to the Calypso.
• Sit down comfortably and relax.
• Centre the nipple so that, when pumping, it moves freely in the funnel of the breast shell / breast shell insert.
• Fill breast shell with the breast to create an air seal.
• Switch on the pump.
Adjusting the vacuum (suction strength)
• Regulate the vacuum by pressing the arrow keys.
• Intensify the vacuum, until you feel a very slight discomfort, and then reduce the intensity of the vacuum until pumping is
comfortable.
Adjusting the cycle (suction frequency)
• Regulate the cycle by pressing the arrow keys.
• Set the cycle at the highest level which is comfortable for you.
4.3 Operation
The vacuum (suction strength) and cycle (suction frequency) can be
adjusted independently of each other. Touching the switches changes
the intensity of the vacuum or the cycle by one level.
• Turn on the pump by touching the stand-by switch (Fig. 8). The
green LED display will light up. Choose the settings which you
find most comfortable.
• Touch the up-arrow to increase the intensity of the vacuum
(suction strength). Touch the down-arrow to reduce the vacuum
(Fig. 9).
• Touch the up-arrow to step-up the cycle (suction frequency).
Touch the down-arrow to reduce the cycle (Fig. 10).

6. Troubleshooting
In the event of an error, the LED display flashes green and orange alternately.
General error
Switch off the unit and re-start. If the error message appears again, the unit is
defective and cannot be repaired.
Further possible errors when using the unit
• Weak or absent vacuum:
Disconnect the pumpset from the unit. Partly close the connector opening (f) with a finger to test the suction. However,
be careful not to completely cover the opening. If suction is detectable, then the pump is working. Test the pumpset in
accordance with the separate instructions for use (only use the original Ardo pumpset).
• The pump is not working / no data on the display:
Check the electrical supply; if the unit still does not work it is defective.
• In the event that one of these errors occurs, and is confirmed, the unit must be brought or sent back to the point of sale.
The unit must be checked out by trained service personnel, or by the manufacturer of the pump unit.
Encouraging the milk ejection reflex
• When babies start to breastfeed, they suckle with rapid sucking motions and low suction strength – this causes the
milk to release by stimulating the milk ejection reflex. This effect can be replicated by starting with a higher cycle level
(e.g. 8 bars) and selecting a weaker vacuum.
• When the milk begins to release, reduce the cycles by pressing the down arrow and strengthen the vacuum by pressing
the up-arrow until you find the most comfortable level for you.
The milk ejection reflex may occur later when pumping than when breastfeeding. The following measures may be helpful:
• Massage the breast before expressing.
• Relax and think about your baby.
• Gaze at a picture of your baby.
• Apply a warmed compress to the breast before expressing.
• Warm the cone or funnel of the breast shell before applying.
Pumping efficiently
• Massaging the breast while using the breastpump can boost milk production, and promote better flow.
Increasing the quantity of milk
• Use a double pumpset
• For the first 10 minutes, or until no more milk is flowing, use a double pumpset i.e. express from both breasts at once.
Afterwards, switch to a single pumpset. Express from each breast for five minutes while massaging gently.

7. Maintenance / Care / Cleaning
The membrane pot integrated into the pumpset ("Vacuum Seal" technology) ensures that no breast milk or air can get into
the tube or Calypso unit. The closed system is so secure that it constitutes a barrier against cross contamination (infection).
The unit is maintenance-free; care of the unit and its accessories is limited to inspection and cleaning. There are no
user-serviceable parts in the Calypso breastpump. With the exception of the power adapter (g), there are no spare parts.
Visual inspection by the user before switch-on
• Is the power adapter (g) undamaged?
• Is the accessory clean, complete and intact?
• Is the accessory correctly attached?
Ignoring these checks, or the cleaning instructions, may lead to risk of infection, electric shock or damage to the unit.
Cleaning / disinfection
• Calypso breastpump:
Important: Unplug the unit from the power adapter before cleaning.
Cleaning at home: As needed, wipe with a damp cloth, commercial detergent may be used. Do not put the unit into the
dish-washer or into a washing-up bowl. It is not possible to clean the pump or the power unit. Attempting to do so may
cause the unit to malfunction or to become contaminated – requiring suitable disposal (see section 11 Transport / Storage /
Disposal).
Calypso is not waterproof. It complies with Standard IP21.
• Accessory pumpset: Please read the separate instructions for use, section: Cleaning.
8. Warranty
The warranty time-limit for the Calypso, in personal use, is 400 hours (as long as the green LED display lights up). However,
there is at the least the stipulated minimum legal warranty period from the date of purchase. The warranty is limited to the
original purchaser.
General terms and conditions
Ardo medical AG guarantees its products in respect of materials and manufacturing defects. The warranty period starts
from the date of purchase. Defective materials will be replaced free-of-charge, during the life of the warranty, provided that
the warranty has not been voided by unauthorised use or access to the unit. To ensure warranty cover, and the flawless
functioning of the unit, the instructions for use must be followed, and only Ardo accessories used.The warranty is void if the
unit has been opened or tampered with.
NB
After 400 hours, the green LED display changes to orange. This means that the additional warranty has expired.The Calypso
can however still be used without any reduction in performance.

10. Transport / Storage / Disposal
For the transport and storage of your Calypso unit, we recommend using the original packaging. We further recommend
separate storage protected from UV (e.g. sunlight/halogen lamps), heat and dust (Avoid storing or using the unit on a heater.
Do not store or use the unit in a dusty environment. Failure to observe these instructions can lead to the malfunction of the
unit).

Disposal
The unit may be returned to the manufacturer, or be dismantled and recycled (as metal or plastic) in an environmentally-

Calypso ist eine Vakuumpumpe mit einem Einkolbensystem. Mithilfe der Bedienelemente kann jede Mutter die Einstellungen
von Vakuum und Zyklen individuell anpassen. Das Vakuum bleibt stabil, wenn die Benutzerin die Zykluseinstellungen ändert.
Ebenso bleibt der Zyklus stabil, wenn die Benutzerin die Vakuumeinstellungen ändert. Mindestanforderung an die Patientin/
Bedienerin: Sie muss in der Lage sein, diese Gebrauchsanweisung zu lesen und zu verstehen.

2. Wichtige Sicherheitshinweise
Calypso ist eine elektrisch betriebene, sichere und zuverlässige Milchpumpe für den persönlichen Gebrauch. Calypso ist
nach CE-Richtlinien und gemäss Sicherheitsnormen (siehe Abschnitt 9.2 Konformität) konstruiert und montiert worden. Zu
Ihrer Sicherheit sowie zur Vermeidung von Schäden am Gerät und der Gefahr von Stromschlägen, Verletzungen oder Feuer
beachten Sie bitte die folgenden Sicherheitsbestimmungen. Die Patientin ist auch die vorgesehene Bedienerin.
Die maximal zulässige Gehäusetemperatur beträgt 50 °C. Die Patientin darf unter keinen Umständen länger als 1 Minute mit
dem Pumpenaggregat in Kontakt kommen. In diesem Zeitraum kommt es zu keinen klinischen Auswirkungen. Bei zu langem
Kontakt mit dem Pumpaggregat kann es zu Hautreizungen kommen.

Sicherheitsbestimmungen
• Trennen Sie die Calypso nach Gebrauch durch Ziehen des Netzadapters aus der Steckdose vom Netz.
• Die Trennung vom Netz ist nur gewährleistet, wenn der Netzadapter aus der Steckdose gezogen wird.
• Lassen Sie keine alten Batterien im Gerät – Auslaufgefahr!
• Wenn Sie das Gerät bei der Verwendung an das Netz anschliessen, entnehmen Sie die Batterien (Auslaufgefahr).

verwenden.
• Netzadapter und Zubehör von Wärmequellen fernhalten.
• Calypso nicht in einem Bereich verwenden, in dem Sauerstoffgas oder Sprays verwendet werden.
• Verwenden Sie nur ein Ardo Original-Pumpset und Ardo Originalteile. Siehe Abschnitt 4 (Inbetriebnahme / Bedienung) und
Abschnitt 7 (Wartung / Pflege / Reinigung).
• Calypso darf nur für die in Abschnitt 3 (Verwendungszweck) genannten Zwecke verwendet werden.
• Bewahren Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung bitte stets griffbereit zum Nachschlagen auf.
• Wechseln Sie die Batterien nicht während des Betriebs.

4.2 Vorbereitung der Pumpe für den Gebrauch
Netzbetrieb:
• Stecken Sie den Gerätestecker (h) des Netzadapters (g) in den
Netzanschluss (i) des Gerätes (Abb. 1). Der Netzadapter muss für
die örtliche Stromversorgung geeignet sein.
Wichtig: Nehmen Sie die Batterien aus dem Gerät, bevor Sie es
an das Stromnetz anschliessen.
Batteriebetrieb:
• Lösen Sie die Verriegelung (Abb. 2) und schieben Sie den Deckel
des Batteriefachs auf.
• Für den Betrieb sind sechs Batterien des Typs LR 06 / AA
erforderlich. Prüfen Sie die Ausrichtung der "+/-"-Markierung
auf den Batterien (Abb. 3).
• Schliessen Sie den Deckel des Batteriefachs und sichern Sie
ihn durch erneutes Einrasten der Verriegelung (Abb. 4). Die
durchschnittliche Betriebsdauer bei mittlerer Vakuum- und
Zykluseinstellung beträgt rund 5 Stunden (Duracell-Batterien).Wir
empfehlen die Verwendung von Duracell-Batterien.

3. Verwendungszweck
Die Calypso Milchpumpe ist für stillende Frauen bestimmt, die Milch aus der Brust abpumpen und sammeln. Sie kann als
Einzel- und Doppelpumpe eingesetzt werden. Das Gerät ist nur für den Gebrauch im Innenbereich bestimmt.
4. Inbetriebnahme / Bedienung
Benötigen Sie Hilfe bei der Einrichtung, Verwendung oder Wartung der Milchpumpe, wenden Sie sich bitte an die
Verkaufsstelle oder an autorisiertes Kundendienstpersonal.
4.1 Bedienelemente
Standby-Schalter Saugstärke / Vakuum (V) einstellen Saugfrequenz / Zyklen (C) ändern
Anschluss des Pumpsets
Das Pumpset ist ein Anwendungsteil von Calypso. Die Verwendung
des Pumpsets (b) wird in der separaten "Ardo Pumpset" Gebrauchs-
anweisung beschrieben.
• Zur Verwendung des Einzel-Pumpsets: Befestigen Sie den
Schlauchadapter (c) an der Pumpe (f) (Abb. 5). Die zweite
Öffnung des Schlauchadapters bleibt geschlossen.
• Zur Verwendung des Doppel-Pumpsets: Öffnen Sie die zweite
Öffnung des Schlauchadapters und schliessen Sie das zweite
Pumpset an (Abb. 6).
• Schliessen Sie den Schlauchadapter (c) an die Pumpe an (f) (Abb. 7).

5. Abpumpen
Das Abpumpen von Milch sollte keinesfalls schmerzhaft sein.
Starten der Pumpe
• Waschen Sie sich gründlich die Hände.
• Schliessen Sie das Pumpset an Calypso an.
• Setzen Sie sich bequem hin und entspannen Sie sich.
• Zentrieren Sie die Brustwarze so, dass sie sich beim Abpumpen frei im Trichter der Brustglocke / des Brustglockeneinsatzes
bewegt.
• Füllen Sie die Brustglocke mit Ihrer Brust, um eine luftdichte Versiegelung zu erzeugen.
• Schalten Sie die Pumpe ein.
Einstellen des Vakuums (Saugstärke)
• Regeln Sie das Vakuum durch Drücken der Pfeiltasten.
• Erhöhen Sie das Vakuum, bis Sie ein ganz leichtes Unbehagen verspüren, und verringern Sie dann seine Intensität, bis das
Abpumpen angenehm ist.
Einstellen des Zyklus (Saugfrequenz)
• Regeln Sie den Zyklus durch Drücken der Pfeiltasten.
• Stellen Sie den Zyklus auf die höchste Stufe ein, die für Sie angenehm ist.
4.3 Bedienung
Vakuum (Saugstärke) und Zyklus (Saugfrequenz) können unabhängig
voneinander eingestellt werden. Durch Drücken der Schalter wird die
Intensität von Vakuum oder Zyklus um eine Stufe verändert.
• Schalten Sie die Pumpe durch Drücken des Standby-Schalters
ein (Abb. 8). Die grüne LED-Anzeige leuchtet. Wählen Sie die
Einstellungen, die Sie am angenehmsten finden.
• Drücken Sie den Aufwärtspfeil, um die Intensität des Vakuums
(Saugstärke) zu erhöhen. Drücken Sie den Abwärtspfeil, um das
Vakuum zu verringern (Abb. 9).
• Drücken Sie den Aufwärtspfeil, um den Zyklus (Saugfrequenz)
zu erhöhen. Drücken Sie den Abwärtspfeil, um den Zyklus zu
verringern (Abb. 10).

6. Fehlerbehebung
Im Fehlerfall blinkt die LED-Anzeige abwechselnd grün und orange.
Allgemeiner Fehler
Gerät ausschalten und neu starten. Erscheint die Fehlermeldung erneut, ist das
Gerät defekt und nicht zu reparieren.
Weitere mögliche Fehler bei der Verwendung des Gerätes
• Schwaches oder fehlendes Vakuum:
Trennen Sie das Pumpset vom Gerät. Verschliessen Sie die Anschlussöffnung (f) teilweise mit dem Finger, um die Saug-
wirkung zu prüfen. Achten Sie jedoch darauf, die Öffnung nicht vollständig abzudecken. Ist eine Saugwirkung feststellbar,
arbeitet die Pumpe. Prüfen Sie das Pumpset entsprechend der separaten Gebrauchsanweisung (nur Ardo Original-Pumpset
verwenden).
• Die Pumpe arbeitet nicht / keine Daten auf dem Display:
Prüfen Sie die Stromversorgung; wenn das Gerät immer noch nicht funktioniert, ist es defekt.
• Tritt einer dieser Fehler auf und bestätigt sich, muss das Gerät an die Verkaufsstelle zurückgebracht bzw. eingeschickt
werden. Das Gerät muss durch geschultes Kundendienstpersonal oder durch den Hersteller des Pumpaggregates überprüft
werden.
Förderung des Milchspendereflexes
• Babys saugen zu Beginn einer Stillmahlzeit mit raschen Saugbewegungen und geringem Vakuum und lösen dadurch das
Fliessen der Muttermilch aus. Diesen Effekt erreichen Sie, indem Sie zu Beginn einen hohen Zyklus (z.B. 8 Balken) und ein
niedrigeres Vakuum wählen.
• Beginnt die Milch zu fliessen, reduzieren Sie den Zyklus und erhöhen Sie das Vakuum durch Druckimpuls auf die Pfeil-
tasten so, wie Sie es als angenehm empfinden.
Der Milchspendereflex kann beim Abpumpen später als beim Stillen auftreten. Folgende Massnahmen können hilfreich sein:
• Massieren Sie die Brust vor dem Abpumpen.
• Entspannen Sie sich und denken Sie an Ihr Baby.
• Schauen Sie sich ein Bild Ihres Babys an.
• Legen Sie vor dem Abpumpen eine warme Kompresse auf die Brust.
• Wärmen Sie den Konus oder Trichter der Brustglocke vor dem Anlegen.
Effizient abpumpen
• Wenn Sie die Brust massieren, während Sie die Milchpumpe benutzen, kann dies die Milchbildung steigern und für einen
besseren Milchfluss sorgen.
Erhöhung der Milchmenge
• Verwenden Sie ein Doppel-Pumpset
• Pumpen Sie während den ersten 10 Minuten oder bis die Milch nicht mehr fliesst beide Brüste gleichzeitig ab (Doppel-
pumpen). Wechseln Sie dann zum Einfachpumpen. Pumpen Sie je 5 Minuten pro Brust ab und massieren Sie dabei Ihre
Brust sanft.

7. Wartung / Pflege / Reinigung
Die im Pumpset integrierte Topfmembran ("Vacuum Seal"-Technologie) sorgt dafür, dass keine Muttermilch oder Luft in den
Schlauch oder die Calypso gelangt. Das geschlossene System ist so sicher, dass es eine Barriere gegen Kreuzkontamination
(Infektion) darstellt.
Das Gerät ist wartungsfrei; die Pflege des Gerätes und des Zubehörs beschränkt sich auf Kontrolle und Reinigung.
In der Calypso Milchpumpe befinden sich keine Teile, die vom Benutzer gewartet werden können. Mit Ausnahme des
Netzadapters (g) gibt es keine Ersatzteile.
Sichtprüfung durch die Benutzerin vor dem Einschalten
• Ist der Netzadapter (g) unbeschädigt?
• Ist das Zubehör sauber, vollständig und intakt?
• Ist das Zubehör korrekt angebracht?
Wenn Sie die genannten Kontrollen bzw. Reinigungshinweise nicht beachten, kann dies zu Infektionen, Stromschlägen oder
Schäden am Gerät führen.
Reinigung / Desinfektion
• Calypso Milchpumpe:
Wichtig: Trennen Sie das Gerät vor der Reinigung vom Netzadapter.
Reinigung zu Hause: Wischen Sie das Gerät bei Bedarf mit einem feuchten Tuch ab; ggf. handelsübliches Reinigungsmittel
verwenden. Das Gerät nicht in die Geschirrspülmaschine oder in eine Spülschüssel stellen. Eine Reinigung der Pumpe oder
der Netzeinheit ist nicht möglich. Dies kann zu Funktionsstörungen oder Verunreinigungen des Gerätes führen – die wie-
derum eine sachgemässe Entsorgung erforderlich machen (siehe Abschnitt 11 Transport / Aufbewahrung / Entsorgung).
Calypso ist nicht wasserdicht. Sie entspricht der Schutzklasse IP21.
• Zubehör Pumpset: Lesen Sie bitte die separate Gebrauchsanweisung,Abschnitt: Reinigung.
8. Garantie
Die Garantiefrist für die Calypso Milchpumpe beträgt bei Eigengebrauch 400 Stunden (d. h. solange die grüne LED-Anzeige
leuchtet). Es besteht jedoch mindestens die gesetzlich vorgeschriebene Mindestgewährleistungsfrist ab Kaufdatum. Die
Garantie beschränkt sich auf die Erstkäuferin.
Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen
Die Ardo medical AG garantiert, dass ihre Produkte frei von Material- und Herstellungsfehlern sind. Die Garantiezeit beginnt
mit dem Kaufdatum. Defekte Materialien werden während der Garantiezeit kostenlos ersetzt, sofern die Garantie nicht durch
unzulässigen Gebrauch oder Zugriff auf das Gerät erloschen ist. Um die Garantieleistung und die einwandfreie Funktion des
Geräts sicherzustellen, muss die Gebrauchsanweisung befolgt und darf nur Ardo-Zubehör verwendet werden. Die Garantie
erlischt, wenn das Gerät geöffnet oder manipuliert wurde.
Hinweis:
Nach 400 Stunden wechselt die grüne LED-Anzeige zu orange, um den Ablauf der erweiterten Garantie anzuzeigen. Die
Calypso Milchpumpe kann jedoch weiterhin ohne Leistungseinbussen verwendet werden.

Für Transport und Aufbewahrung Ihres Calypso Gerätes empfehlen wir die Verwendung der Originalverpackung.Wir
empfehlen ausserdem eine separate Aufbewahrung, geschützt vor UV-Strahlung (z. B. Sonnenlicht/Halogenlampen), Hitze
und Staub (Das Gerät nicht auf einer Heizung lagern oder verwenden. Ebenso das Gerät nicht in einer staubigen Umgebung
lagern bzw. verwenden. Bei Nichtbeachtung dieser Hinweise kann es zu Funktionsstörungen des Gerätes kommen).

Le Calypso est une pompe à vide dotée d’un système à un piston. Les commandes permettent à chaque maman de
personnaliser les réglages grâce à un système flexible d'ajustement du vide et des cycles. Le niveau de vide reste stable
lorsque l’utilisatrice modifie les réglages de cycle. De même, le cycle reste stable lorsque l’utilisatrice modifie les réglages
de vide. Exigence minimale pour la patiente/l’utilisatrice : être capable de lire et comprendre le présent mode d’emploi.

2. Indications de sécurité importantes
Le Calypso est un tire-lait électrique, sûr et fiable, destiné à un usage personnel. Le Calypso est fabriqué et assemblé
conformément aux directives de la Communauté européenne (CE) et des normes de sécurité (voir la section 9.2 Conformité).
Pour votre sécurité, veillez à respecter les consignes de sécurité ci-après afin de ne pas endommager l’unité et d’écarter tout
risque de décharge électrique, de blessures ou d’incendie. La patiente est aussi l’utilisatrice prévue.
La température maximale du boîtier est de 50 ºC. En toutes circonstances, le contact entre la patiente et l’unité du tire-lait
ne doit pas dépasser 1 minute. Dans ce laps de temps, aucun effet clinique ne survient. Un contact prolongé avec l’unité du
tire-lait peut engendrer une irritation cutanée.

Consignes de sécurité
• Après utilisation, déconnectez le Calypso de la source d’alimentation secteur en débranchant l’adaptateur secteur de la prise.
• La déconnexion n’est garantie qu’une fois l’adaptateur secteur débranché de la prise.
• Ne laissez pas de piles usagées dans l’unité, cela induit un risque de fuite.
• Lorsque vous utilisez l’unité branchée sur le secteur, retirez les piles (risque de fuite).
• En cas d’éclaboussures ou si l’unité tombe dans l’eau, débranchez-la IMMÉDIATEMENT du secteur.
Ne touchez pas l’unité avant de l’avoir débranchée.
• Le Calypso et son adaptateur secteur ont été conçus pour un usage exclusivement intérieur. Ne les utilisez pas à l’extérieur.
• Utilisez l’unité uniquement avec l’adaptateur secteur Ardo.
• N’ouvrez pas l’unité (aucun composant n’est réparable par l’utilisateur).
• Le Calypso n’est pas étanche. Par conséquent, l’unité ne doit jamais être plongée dans l’eau ou tout autre liquide, ni
utilisée ou stockée dans des endroits où elle risquerait de tomber dans l’eau. N’utilisez pas l’unité pendant que vous
prenez un bain ou une douche.
• Tenez l’adaptateur secteur et tous les accessoires à l’abri de toute source de chaleur.
• N’utilisez pas le Calypso dans un endroit où de l’oxygène ou des sprays sont utilisés.
• Utilisez uniquement un set pour tire-lait Ardo d’origine et des composants Ardo d’origine. Voir la section 4 (Démarrage/
Utilisation) et la section 7 (Maintenance/Entretien/Nettoyage).
• Le Calypso doit être utilisé exclusivement aux fins indiquées dans la section 3 (Usage prévu).
• Veuillez conserver le présent mode d’emploi à portée de main afin de pouvoir le consulter à tout moment.

4.2 Préparation du tire-lait
Fonctionnement sur secteur :
• Insérez la fiche d’alimentation (h) de l’adaptateur secteur (g)
dans la prise électrique (i) de l’unité (Fig. 1). L’adaptateur secteur
doit correspondre à l’alimentation secteur locale.
Important : retirez les piles avant de brancher l’unité sur le
secteur.
Fonctionnement sur piles :
• Ouvrez le loquet (Fig. 2) et faites glisser le couvercle du
compartiment des piles pour l’ouvrir.
• Six piles LR 06/AA sont nécessaires au fonctionnement. Vérifiez
l’orientation des bornes +/– des piles (Fig. 3).
• Refermez le compartiment des piles puis enclenchez le loquet
(Fig. 4). La durée d’utilisation moyenne avec un réglage de vide
et de cycle moyen est d’environ 5 heures (piles Duracell). Nous
vous recommandons d’utiliser des piles Duracell.

3. Usage prévu
Le tire-lait Calypso est destiné aux mères allaitantes qui souhaitent tirer leur lait. Il peut être utilisé comme tire-lait simple ou
double. L’unité doit être utilisée en intérieur.
4. Démarrage/Utilisation
Si vous avez besoin d’aide pour configurer, utiliser ou entretenir le tire-lait, contactez un point de vente ou le personnel
d’entretien agréé.
4.1 Commandes

Le set pour tire-lait est une pièce d'application du Calypso. L’utilisa-
tion du set pour tire-lait (b) est détaillée dans le mode d’emploi du
set pour tire-lait Ardo.
• Pour utiliser le set pour tire-lait simple : raccordez l’adaptateur
de tubulure (c) au tire-lait (f) (Fig. 5). La deuxième entrée de
l’adaptateur de tubulure reste fermée.
• Pour utiliser le set pour tire-lait double : ouvrez la deuxième
entrée de l’adaptateur de tubulure puis raccordez le deuxième set
pour tire-lait (Fig. 6).
• Raccordez l’adaptateur de tubulure (c) au tire-lait (f) (Fig. 7).

5. Tirage
Le tirage du lait ne doit jamais être douloureux.
Démarrage du tire-lait
• Lavez-vous soigneusement les mains.
• Raccordez le set pour tire-lait au Calypso.
• Asseyez-vous confortablement et détendez-vous.
• Centrez les mamelons de sorte qu'ils épousent bien la forme d’entonnoir de la téterelle/de l’embout de téterelle
lors du tirage.
• Introduisez le sein dans la téterelle pour créer une étanchéité.
• Mettez le tire-lait sous tension.
Réglage du vide (puissance d’aspiration)
• Réglez le vide en appuyant sur les touches fléchées.
• Augmentez le vide jusqu’à ressentir une légère gêne, puis diminuez la puissance du vide pour que le tirage redevienne
confortable.
Réglage du cycle (fréquence d’aspiration)
• Réglez le cycle en appuyant sur les touches fléchées.
• Réglez le cycle au niveau maximal confortable pour vous.
4.3 Utilisation
Vous pouvez régler le vide (puissance d’aspiration) et le cycle
(fréquence d’aspiration) indépendamment l’un de l’autre.Appuyez
sur les commutateurs pour changer l’intensité du vide ou du cycle
d’un niveau.
• Mettez le tire-lait sous tension en appuyant sur le commutateur
de veille (Fig. 8). La DEL verte s’allume. Choisissez les réglages les
plus confortables pour vous.
• Appuyez sur la flèche vers le haut pour augmenter l’intensité du
vide (puissance d’aspiration).Appuyez sur la flèche vers le bas
pour diminuer le vide (Fig. 9).
• Appuyez sur la flèche vers le haut pour augmenter le cycle
(fréquence d’aspiration).Appuyez sur la flèche vers le bas pour
diminuer le cycle (Fig. 10).
