We thank you for having selected the Arzum brand Kettle. This product as
well is one of those offered to you to make life easier for you.
In order to obtain utmost output from your appliance, please read carefully
this user’s manual and save it for further use.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using an electric appliance the basic safety measures should always
be observed.
• MakesurethatthevoltageindicatedontheArzum Bollente Concealed
Heating Kettle corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. Our
company shall not be held liable for any failures owing to any discrepancy
and such failures shall not be covered by the guarantee.
• Thisapplianceisintendedtobeused
in household and similar applications
such as:

offices and other working

your appliance do not use extension cords. When using extension cords,
make sure to use grounded socket, with the cable cross section of 1mm².
• DonotplacetheArzum Bollente Concealed Heating Kettle over or near
direct heat sources such as hot gas, electric burner, or heating oven.
• Ensurethatthewaterheaterisplacedonarmandatsurface.Do
not put it on the edge of a table or bench. The least blow or knock may
overturnit.Donotforgetthatitmaybefullofhotwater.
• Donotletcordhangoveredgeoftablecounterortouchanyother
appliances.

• Neverleavethepowerbaseunitandelectricalconnectionendsofyour
device in a damp state. If wetted, unplug before drying and no not operate
the appliance before having it dried completely.
• Whenllingwithwaterremovethekettlefromitspowerbaseunit.
• Youcancleantheoutersurfaceofthekettlewithadampcloth.Make
sure that the power base unit is completely dry when cleaning.
WARNING
• DonotopentheON/OFFswitchwhenthe
kettle does not contain water, or filled with water
belowtheminimum(0,5Lt.limit.)
• Whenthewaterisnishedinsideofthekettle
the ON/OFF switch must be turned off.
USING THE KETTLE
• Donotusethekettleforanyotherpurposesotherthanboilingwater.Do
not fill with any other liquids or solutions.
• Ifthekettleisbeingusedforthersttime,
clean it before operation and pour away the first
boiled water and refill, repeating this process 2-3
times. Ensure that the water is filled up to the
MAXpoint.Boilthewateruntiltheapplianceis
switched off automatically.
• Pourawaythewaterandallowyourappliancetocooldown.
• Makesurethatthewaterislleduptothemaximumlevel.
• Afterboilingthewater,somepowder-likesedimentmayformduetothe
hardness of the water. This is quite natural and has no adverse effects
whatsoever on human health.
• WiththeON/OFFswitchturnedon“I”,thelidof
thekettleMUSTbeclosed.
• Turnthemainswitch(on/offswitch)to
theposition“I“.Indicatorlightwillturnonand
the water will begin to get warm. When the
water reaches boiling the kettle will switch off
automatically and the main switch will spring
back to the original position.
• Avoidactionsthatmayharmordamagethecordorplugofyourdevice.
Donotcarryyourappliancebyholdingfromthecord.Tounplugtheheater,
hold the plug and NEVER pull by the cord.
• Neverinterferewithyourapplianceexceptforthepurposesofcleaning
andmaintenance.Donotoperateanyappliancewithadamagedcord
or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any
manner,suchasbydroppingdown,etc.Donotattempttorepairitby
yourself.CallimmediatelyaArzum Authorized
Service.
• Alwaysholdyourappliancebyitshandle.Its
outer surface may be hot.
• Unplugfromoutletwhennotinuseandbefore
cleaning.Allowittocooldownbeforecleaning
the appliance.
-UseyourArzum Bollente Concealed Heating
Kettlewithitsownpowerbaseunitonly.Do
not place it on those belonging to any other
appliance.
- The kettle will switch off automatically when
the water reaches boiling. However, if you want
to switch off before boiling you can do this
manually turning the ON/OFF switch to the
position“0”.
• Ifyouwishtore-boilthewater,allowittocool
downforabout15-20secondsbeforestarting
your appliance.
• Ifthekettleeverrunsdrywhileoperating,asafetycut-offdevicewill
automatically cut the power off. In such a case, you must allow it to cool
down completely before refilling with cold water.
• Avoidcontactwithsteamtobeejectedfromspoutwhenthewateris
boiling, and do not let children to use the appliance.
• Neveropenthelidwhilethewaterisboiling.Alwaystakecaretopour
boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the kettle to fast.
• DonotllaboveMAXmark.
• Neverimmersetheappliance,powerbaseunit,orelectricpluginwateror
other liquids, nor wash in a washing dish machine, nor use in bathroom or
any other places with a high rate of moisture.

• Dischargethewaterfromthekettle,andwipetheoutsideofitthoroughly
with a dry or damp cloth.
• NEVER immerse the power base unit and the kettle into water, nor wash
them in a washing dish machine.
• Avoidusingabrasiveandchemicalcleaningagents(liquidbleach,
hydrochloricacid,etc.)incleaninganyaccessoriesoftheappliance.
Cleaning the Water Filter
• Waterlterisplacedontheinnersideof
the spout. It holds foreign matters, limes,
and scales, which may be contained in the
water.
• Aftereachuse,thewaterltershouldbe
held under running water, and cleaned with
a soft brush.
• Ifexcessiveamountsoflimeandscalehaveaccumulatedonthelter.
 -Placethewaterlterinavessellledwiththevinegar(orcitricacid).
- Let the vinegar remain inside the vessel for half an hour.
- Then, hold the water filter under current
of hot water until any remaining scale and
vinegar are removed.
• Cleaningfrequencydependsuponthe
area(suchasdusty)inwhichthekettleis
used.
• IncleaningthewaterlterNEVER
use dishwashing detergents or special
descaling agents.
Descaling
• Itisimportantthekettleisdescaled
regularly as appropriate, for the hygiene
and energy saving purposes.
• Limesandscalescontainedintheused
water will form a brown layer on the heating
base, reducing the effectiveness of your
appliance.
• Ifyoudesiretostoptheboilingfunctionyou
canturnthemainswitch(on/offswitch)tothe
position“0”.
• Whenllingthekettlewithwater,ALWAYS
remove the appliance from its power base unit.
By doing so, you can prevent the water from
pouring on the table.
• Donotllwithlessthan0.5literofwater(less
than“MIN”indication)ormorethan2,0literof
water(morethan“MAX”indication).
If you attempt to boil a quantity of water below the minimum level or above
the maximum level, the appliance may switch off rather early or the boiling
water may eject from the spout, respectively.
• Whennotinuse,providedthatthemainswitchisturnedoff“O”,itwouldbe
convenient to allow the appliance to stay continuously plugged in the kitchen.
SWITCHING ON AGAIN
• Ifyouwanttore-boilthewatermakesurethat
your appliance has cooled down sufficiently.
Shouldtheon/offswitchturntotheposition“0”
automatically,donotforceittotheposition“I”.
Otherwise, you may damage to your appliance.
CLEANING
• Beforecleaningyourappliance,rstALWAYS read the instructions in the
section“ImportantSafeguards”.
BEFORE CLEANING TURN OFF “0” THE MAIN SWITCH (ON/OFF SWITCH),
UNPLUG FROM OUTLET, AND ALLOW IT TO COOL DOWN.

• Lightformationoflimesandscalescanbeeasilyremovedwithabrush
(donotforgettounplugtheappliancebeforedoingso).
• Thedescalingagentssoldandavailableonthemarkettouseon
household utensils as well as the vinegar can be used for removing the
collected hard scales.
• Tocleanyourkettlewithadescalingagent:Onceyouhaveboiledsome
quantity of water in the kettle add the descaling agent and mix them. Then,
boil for 2-3 minutes more, empty the kettle, and rinse the inside of it 2-3
times repeatedly.
• Tocleanwithordinaryvinegar:Fillyourkettlewithhalfaliterofordinary
vinegar and wait for one hour. Then, pour away the vinegar and rinse it 2-3
times repeatedly with clean water.
• Tocleanwithcitricacid:Onceyouhaveboiledhalfaliterofwater,add
25 grams of citric acid and allow it to wait for 15 minutes. Then, empty
the kettle and rinse it 2-3 times repeatedly with clean water. Repeat this
process,ifnecessary.Alwaysaddwaterwhenusingcitricacid,anddonot
clean without water.
