Information on Cleaning
The filter can remain in the box during all manual and mechanical cleaning operations. The box can be manually cleaned
and disinfected with all common neutral, non abrasive cleaning agents. Do not use metal brushes on the box. Stubborn
deposits can be removed in an ultrasonic bath.
The box is dish washer proof using any common cleaning agents, and suitable for all common chemical and thermal

be carried out with deionised water. Following these cleaning instructions will ensure the correct functioning of the AS
Steribox and enhance its lifetime.
Information on storage
The shelf life of the sterile content as in accordance to DIN 58953-9, should be determined by the protocols of your
Institution. It is important to ensure that the sterile content is protected from dust, dirt, humidity, mechanical damage and
hazardous substances during storage.
Visual inspection
Prior to cleaning, it is important that the AS Steribox is checked for any damage that could allow the penetration of
germs. Any damage must be rectified by qualified and trained personnel. Damaged parts must be replaced.
Safety seals
Unauthorised opening can be prevented by using safety seals attached between the lid and the base of the box.

The filter must be periodically replaced. The time scale will depend on the type of filter in use and the instructions of your
Institute.
