sticker n the gateway):
•The serial number
•The m del number
•The Cable M dem (CM) Media Access C ntr l (MAC) address
•The Terminal Adapter (EMTA) MAC address
•Security inf rmati n: Service Set Identifier (SSID), Encrypti n key / passphrase
(WPA2/PSK by default), channel number. Default values are indicated underneath the
m dem n the sticker.

Y ur internet acc unt has been set up. (The Media Terminal Adapter will pr vide data
service if the cable acc unt is set up but n teleph ny service is available.)
Y u have a cable utlet near y ur PC and it is ready f r Cable M dem service.
N te: It is imp rtant t supply p wer t the m dem at all times. Keeping y ur m dem
plugged in will keep it c nnected t the Internet. This means that it will always be ready
whenever y u need.

Attachi g the Cable TV Wire to the Wireless Voice Gateway
1. L cate the Cable TV wire. Y u may find it ne f three ways:
a. C nnected directly t a TV, a Cable TV c nverter b x, r VCR. The line will be
c nnected t the jack, which sh uld be labeled either IN, CABLE IN, CATV, CATV IN,
etc.
b. C nnected t a wall-m unted cable utlet.
c. C ming ut fr m under a baseb ard heater r ther l cati n. See Figure 1-5 f r the
wiring example.
Notes:For optimum performa ce, be sure to co ect your Wireless Voice Gateway to the first
poi t the cable e ters your home. The splitter must be rated for at least 1GHz.

Plug the c axial cable t the cable wall utlet and the ther end t the m dem’scable
c nnect r.
Note: To e sure a fast registratio of the modem, the coaxial cable must be co ected to
the modem before it is powered o .
Plug the p wer adapter int the s cket f the cable m dem and tw -pin plug in the AC
utlett p wer n the m dem.
Note: O ly use the poweradapter that comes with the modem. Usi g a other power adapter
ca cause damage to the product, a d will void the warra ty.
C nnect an Ethernet cable (direct c nnecti n, see bel w) t the Ethernet p rt at the back f
the c mputer, and the ther end t the ETHERNET p rt n the rear panel f the cable
m dem. The m dem will seek the appr priate cable signal n the cable televisi n netw rk
and g thr ugh the initial registrati n pr cess n its wn. The m dem is ready f r data
transfer after the green LED "Online" is lit c ntinu usly.
Note: the butto "Reset" at the back of the modem is used primarily for mai te a ce.

T make sure that y u can access the Internet successfully, please check the f ll wing first.
1. Make sure the c nnecti n (thr ugh Ethernet) between the Wireless V ice Gateway and
y ur c mputer is OK.
2. Make sure the TCP/IP pr t c l is set pr perly.
3. Subscribe t a Cable C mpany.
Accessi g the Web Co figuratio
The Wireless Voice Gateway ffers l cal management capability thr ugh a built-in HTTP
server and a number f diagn stic and c nfigurati n web pages. Y u can c nfigure the
settings n the web page and apply them t the device.
Once y ur h st PC is pr perly c nfigured; please pr ceed as f ll ws:
1. Start y ur web br wser and type the private IP address f the Wireless V ice Gateway
n the URL field: 192.168.100.1 or 192.168.1.1
2. After c nnecting t the device, y u will be pr mpted t enter username and passw rd.
By default, the username is "admi " and passw rd is "Cl@r0".
