Thank you for purchasing this Team Associated product. This manual contains instructions and tips for building and maintaining
your new RC8.2 RTR. Please take a moment to read through it an familiarize yourself with these steps as they will help you to
understand each component’s function and show you some tips for getting the most out of your RC8.2 RTR. We are continually
changing and improving our designs; therefore, actual parts may appear slightly different than the illustrations.
Tools included with your vehicle:
• 1.5mm and 2.0mm L wrenches
• 2.5mm ball nose wrench
• Stamped turnbuckle wrench, 5mm & 5.5mm
• Shock tool, upper and lower pieces (#89358)
• 10mm clutch nut wrench (#7976)
• 5 in 1 wrench, 17mm, 10mm, 8mm, 7mm, 5.5mm
• Glow igniter (#7994) (requires 1 D sized battery)
• Fuel bottle 400cc (#1749)
• Glow plug (#MC59)
Your RC8.2 RS RTR kit comes ready to run.
However there are some things that are necessary to complete the kit.
• Transmitter batteries (6 AA) (#302, 303 recommended)
• Receiver batteries (4 AA) (#302, 303 recommended)
-OR-
• 4.8-7.4v rechargeable receiver battery pack
• either flat (#613) or hump (#612) style NiMh battery
• either 1600mAh LiPo (#630), 2100mAh LiPo (#631),
• -OR- 1700 LiFe (#638) battery (recommended)
• Additional Glow plugs (#MC59) • Glow igniter battery (1 D)
• Model car fuel (20%-30% nitro recommended)
• Silicone Shock Fluid / Differential Fluid (Refer to catalog for complete listings)
• Body Scissors (AE Part # 1737) • Wire cutters • Soldering Iron • FT Threadlock (#1596)
• FT Hex Wrenches (AE Part # 1541, 1655) • Starter box (#1750 recommended) • FT Turnbuckle Wrench (#89240)
• FT Nut Drivers (AE Part #1561, 1663-1668) • Calipers or a Precision Ruler • Green Slime shock lube (AE Part # 1105)
• Needle nose pliers • Hobby knife • Reamer/hole punch • Ride Height Gauge (#1449 recommended)

• XP 2.4Ghz radio system with digital high torque
XP DS1510MG metal gear steering servo and water resistant
receiver box
• 16mm Big Bore 6061 aluminum shock bodies and caps with
rubber shock boots
• Low center of gravity 3mm thick 7075 aluminum shock
towers
• Black hard-anodized 7075 aluminum chassis with keyed
lower suspension plates
• Updated RC8.2 racing suspension geometry
• Aluminum steering knuckles for improved durability
• Choice of two factory finished RC8 bodies
• Lightweight and durable drivetrain
• Upgraded Dual bell-crank steering rack for reduced
bump-steer
• 4.30:1 ratio gearboxes
• 43T diff ring and 10T pinion for increased punch and
durability over conventional buggy ratio gearboxes
• Brakes
• Brake cam stops ensure brakes aren’t dragging while on
throttle.
• 2 piece Center diff housing split vertically for easy diff
removal and maintenance
• Caster blocks adjust 14, 16, or 18 degrees with molded
inserts
• Low profile elliptical 2-stage air filter
• PTFE clutch shim and easy to build design
• Adjustable with 0.9mm, 1.0 mm, and 1.1 mm springs
(only 1.0mm included)
• Fuel tank
• Easily removeable fuel tank only 2 body clips for easy
cleaning
