Overview
The E-stop module is used to extend the PM4000 emergency stop to include ex-
ternal equipment. It allows for example lifting cylinders that are controlled by
the PM4000, and connected to an external 24V supply, to be emergency
stopped together with the PM4000.
The E-stop module is designed to be a part of a PM4000 TC, located in the
backplate. It uses the same space as for the Ethernet Switch, so an E-stop card
and an Ethernet Switch cannot be equipped in one TC. If an Ethernet switch is
also needed, use an external Ethernet switch.
The E-stop module is an emergency stop solution with redundant breaking ac-
cording to EN ISO 13849-1 category 3 PL d.
The Atlas Copco Standard E-stop Cable 4222 1247 XX is used for connecting
between the TC and the E-Stop module.
With the E-stop module it is possible to have two redundant stop inputs. At
least one of the stop inputs must be connected to enable the emergency stop
functionality.
