Notice
Many events in the operating environment may af-
fect the tightening process and shall require a vali-
dation of results. In compliance with applicable
standards and/or regulations, we hereby require
you to check the installed torque after any event
that can influence the tightening result. Examples
of such events include but are not limited to:
• initial installation of the tooling system
• change of part batch, bolt, screw batch, tool,
software, configuration or environment
• change of air- or electrical connections
• change in line ergonomics, process, quality
procedures or practices
• changing of operator
• any other change that influences the result of
the tightening process
The check should:
• Ensure that the joint conditions have not
changed due to events of influence.
• Be done after initial installation, maintenance
or repair of the equipment.
• Occur at least once per shift or at another suit-
able frequency.

Warning / Important
Read and understand all instructions. Failure to
follow all instructions listed below, may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
All locally legislated safety rules with regard
to installation, operation and maintenance
must be respected at all times. Refer installa-
tion and servicing to qualified personnel only.
When working simultaneously with welding
equipment, the work piece must be earthed sepa-
rately while welding is in progress. This is to pre-
vent the return current passing through Power Fo-
cus earth cables, in case the return lines for the
welding equipment have not been mounted cor-
rectly on the work piece. Atlas Copco recommends
that earthing be carried out with a conductor area
at least as large as the return line for the welding
equipment being used.
Work Area
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Clut-
tered benches and dark areas invite accidents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmos-
pheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks
which may ignite the dust or fumes.
Keep bystanders, children, and visitors away
while operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control.
Electrical Safety
Earthed tools must be plugged into an outlet
that has been properly installed and earthed in
compliance with all relevant codes and ordi-
nances. Never remove the earthing prong or
modify the plug in any way. Do not use any
adapter plugs. Check with a qualified electri-
cian if you are in any doubt as to whether the
outlet is properly earthed. Should the tools suffer
electronic malfunction or breakdown, earthing pro-
vides a low resistance path to carry electricity
away from the user.
THIS EQUIPMENT MUST BE EARTH
GROUNDED!
Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces
such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigera-
tors. There is an increased risk of electric shock if
your body is grounded.
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet condi-
tions. Water entering a power tool will increase
the risk of electric shock. This instruction does not
apply to tools classified as watertight or splash
proof.
For minimum electrical interference, place the in-
strument far away from possible sources of electri-
cal noise, e.g. arc welding equipment etc.
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to
carry the tools or to pull the plug from an out-
let. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges
or moving parts. Replace damaged cords imme-
diately. Damaged cords increase the risk of elec-
tric shock.

Personal Safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use
common sense when operating a power tool. Do
not use tool while tired or under the influence of
drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inat-
tention while operating power tools may result in
serious personal injury.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewellry. Tie long hair back. Keep your hair,
clothing, and gloves away from moving parts.
Loose clothes, jewellry, or long hair can be caught
in moving parts.
Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switches are
in the off position before plugging in. Carrying
tools with your finger on the switch or plugging in
tools that have the switch set to on invites acci-
dents.
Remove adjusting keys or switches before turn-
ing the tool on. A wrench or a key that is left at-
tached to a rotating part of the tool may result in
personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and bal-
ance at all times. Proper footing and balance en-
ables better control of the tool in unexpected situa-
tions.
Tool Use and Care
Use clamps or other practical means to secure
and support the work piece to a stable platform.
Holding the work by hand or against your body is
unstable and may lead to loss of control.
Do not force the tool. Use the correct Atlas
Copco tool for your application. The correct tool
will do the job better and safer at the rate for which
it is designed.
Do not use tool if switch does not work. Any tool
that cannot be controlled by the switch is danger-
ous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source be-
fore making any adjustments, changing acces-
sories, or storing the tool. Such preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of starting the tool acci-
dentally. The mains plug is considered to be a dis-
connecting device. Disconnect the tool from the
mains by pulling the plug from the socket in order
to cut the power.
Store tools out of reach of children and other
untrained persons when not in use. Tools are
dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Check for misalignment or binding of moving
parts, damage, and any other condition that
may affect tool operation. If damaged, have the
tool serviced before using. Poorly maintained
tools cause many accidents.
Only use accessories that are recommended by
the manufacturer for your model. Accessories
that may be suitable for one tool may become haz-
ardous when used on another tool.
Service
Tools should only be serviced by qualified re-
pair personnel. Service or maintenance performed
by unqualified personnel could expose users to se-
rious personal injury.
When servicing a tool, only use original replace-
ment parts. Use of unauthorised parts or failure to
follow Maintenance Instructions may create a re-
sult in electric shock or personal injury.

The TLSCompact Tag U1-63 is an ultra-wide-
band (UWB) wireless device certified under FCC
Part 15.517 (FCC ID SEATAG22). Its use is sub-
ject to technical requirements for indoor UWB sys-

tems, in particular the stipulation that the devices
must only be used indoors. Users should note care-
fully the following information:
CAUTION: This equipment may only be operated
indoors. Operation outdoors is in violation of 47
U.S.C. 301 and could subject the operator to seri-
ous penalties.
Compact Tags will only operate (i.e. transmit
UWB signals) in conjunction with an in-building
TLS Sensor network, which should be profession-
ally installed. The installed TLS Sensor network
will be configured to cover only the area inside the
building, preventing Compact Tags from emitting
UWB signals outside the building.
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC
Rules. Operation is subject to the following two
conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful
interference, and (2) this device must accept any
interference received, including interference that
may cause undesired operation.
Users should also carefully note the following
information:
CAUTION: Any changes or modifications made to
the Compact Tag U1-63 which are not expressly
approved by the certification grantee could void
the user's authority to operate the equipment.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and
found to comply with the limits for a Class B
digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC
Rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interfer-
ence in a residential installation. This equip-
ment generates, uses and can radiate radio fre-
quency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interfer-
ence will not occur in a particular installation.
If this equipment does cause harmful interfer-
ence to radio or television reception, which
can be determined by turning the equipment
off and on, the user is encouraged to try to cor-
rect the interference by one or more of the fol-
lowing measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equip-
ment and receiver.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/

Installation
Installation checklist
This Power Focus is a control and monitoring
unit for electric assembly tools. The ready-to-
run fastening system consists of:
• a Power Focus controller. Two different hard-
ware versions are available, the Graph and the
Compact. The user interface and the dimen-
sions are the main differences between them.
• an RBU, Rapid Backup Unit, enabling the cor-
responding level of functionality (Bronze, Sil-
ver, Gold, X, DS)
• a tool cable, available in different models and
lengths
• and a tool. The Tensor S/ST/SL tool is avail-
able in different configurations and torque
ranges.
Installation procedure
1. Mount the controller on the wall or steel plate
with four M6 screw. If mounting on a wall,
make sure to use correct wall bracket (plug and
screw). If mounting on a steel plate, make sure
that the thickness of the plate is minimum 2
mm.
2. Open the locking mechanism
3. Open the controller slowly towards you, not to
cause injury or damage
4. Connect the tool cable, power cable etc.
5. Connect the RBU
6. Close the controller and lock it
7. Connect the power cable to a power supply
(115/230 V)
8. Turn the power on
Handling
Program a Pset - Compact
1. Press the AUTOSET key and ASEt/Ft appears
on the display
2. Choose final torque target by pressing +/- keys
3. Press the ENTER key to activate the Autoset
function
4. The Autoset symbol LED lights up
5. Make 5-8 tightening until the LED goes out
Optimum performance has been found and the sys-
tem is ready for production.
Program a Pset - Graph
1. Press the PROG key and select Pset then Quick
Prog with the arrow keys
2. Enter the final torque target with the alpha-nu-
merical keys
3. Press the ENTER key to activate the Autoset
function
4. The Autoset symbol LED lights up (the LED is
placed at the very bottom on the right side of
the front panel)
5. Make 5-8 tightening until the LED goes out
6. Press the RESULT key
Optimum performance has been found and the sys-
tem is ready for production.
Preventing ESD problems
The components inside the tool and controller are
sensitive to electrostatic discharge. To avoid future
malfunction, make sure that service and mainte-
nance is carried out in an ESD approved work en-
vironment. The figure below shows an example of
an appropriate service work station.

Ergonomic guidelines
Consider your workstation as you read through this
list of general ergonomic guidelines and see if you
can identify areas for improvement in posture,
component placement, or work environment.
• Take frequent breaks and change work posi-
tions frequently.
• Adapt the workstation area to your needs and
the work task.
• Adjust for convenient reach range by deter-
mining where parts or tools should be lo-
cated to avoid static load.
• Use workstation equipment such as tables
and chairs appropriate for the work task.
• Avoid work positions above shoulder level or
with static holding during assembly operations.
• When working above shoulder level, reduce
the load on the static muscles by reducing
the weight of the tool, using for example
torque arms, hose reels or weight balancers.
You can also reduce the load on the static
muscles by holding the tool close to the
body.
• Make sure to take frequent breaks.
• Avoid extreme arm or wrist postures, par-
ticularly for operations requiring a degree
of force.
• Adjust for convenient field of vision by mini-
mizing movement of the eyes and head during
the work task.
• Use the appropriate lighting for the work task.
• Select the appropriate tool for the work task.
• Use ear protection equipment in noisy environ-
ments.
• Use high-quality inserted tools or consumables
to minimize exposure to excessive levels of vi-
bration.
• Minimize exposure to reaction forces.
• When cutting:
A cut-off wheel can get stuck if the wheel is
either bent or if it is not guided properly.
Make sure to use the correct flanges for cut-
off wheels and avoid bending the wheel
during cut-off operation.
• When drilling:
The drill might stall when the drill bit
breaks through. Makes sure you use support
handles if the stall torque is too high. The
safety standard ISO11148 part 3 recom-
mends using something to absorb the reac-
tion torque above 10 Nm for pistol grip
tools and 4 Nm for straight tools.
• When using direct-driven screw or nutrun-
ners:
Reaction forces depend on tool setting and
joint characteristics. The ability to bear re-
action forces depends on the operator’s
strength and posture. Adapt the torque set-
ting to the operator's strength and posture
and use a torque arm or reaction bar if the
torque is too high.
• Use dust extraction system or mouth protection
mask in dusty environments.

Parts without ordering number are not delivered
separately for technical reasons.
The use of other than genuine Atlas Copco re-
placement parts may result in decreased tool per-
formance and increased maintenance and may, at
the company option, invalidate all warranties.
Warranty
Contact the Atlas Copco sales representative
within your area to claim a product. Warranty will
only be approved if the product has been installed,
operated, lubricated and overhauled according to
the Product Instructions.
Warranty will not be approved if it should be de-
tected that the electric motor has been opened.

Power Focus operates on a single-phase 110 or

Power Focus has a function for sensing the line
voltage automatically. This means that the Power
Focus automatically switches to the voltage you
connect to.

If you are running Power Focus as standalone units
and trigger the tools manually (random) it is nor-
mally possible to connect up to three Power Focus
to one power drop. If you are synchronising the
spindles you will need one drop for each Power
Focus controller.
Wiring
All connections are located on the rear of the unit.
If it is necessary to change the plug on the mains
cable, use the following wiring guide:

Warning! The power cable is the main disconnect-
ing device. If you open a Power Focus unit first
pull out the power cable to make sure that the unit
is free from electric power.
Warning! Do not use galvanically insulated line
voltage since it disrupts the function of the Ground
Fault Interrupter (GFI). The test button for the GFI
activates the GFI even if the Power Focus is sup-
plied with power from an isolated transformer.

Remarque
De nombreux évènements dans l'environnement
d'exploitation peuvent affecter le processus de ser-
rage et nécessiteront une validation des résultats.
Conformément aux normes et règlements applica-
bles, nous vous invitons par la présente à contrôler
le couple installé après tout évènement susceptible
d'avoir une incidence sur le résultat du serrage.
Voici des exemples non exhaustifs de ces évène-
ments:
• installation initiale du système d'outillage
• modification de lot de pièces, boulon, lot de
vis, outil, logiciel, configuration ou environ-
nement
• modification des branchements pneumatiques
ou électriques
• changement dans l'ergonomie de la ligne, le
processus, les procédures de qualité ou les pra-
tiques
• changement d'opérateur
• tout autre changement ayant une incidence sur
le résultat du processus de serrage
Le contrôle devra:
• Garantir que les conditions d'assemblage n'ont
pas changé en raison d'évènements susceptibles
d'avoir une incidence sur le processus.
• Être effectué après l'installation initiale, la
maintenance ou la réparation du matériel.
• Intervenir au moins une fois par prise de poste
ou à toute autre fréquence adéquate.

énumérées ci-dessous ne sont pas respectées.
CONSERVEZ CES INSTRUCTIONS
Toutes les réglementations locales de sécurité
en matière d’installation, d’utilisation et de ré-
paration doivent être respectées à tout mo-
ment. Ne confiez l’installation et la mainte-
nance qu’à du personnel qualifié.
Si l'on travaille en même temps avec une soudeuse,
la pièce à travailler doit être séparément mise à la
terre pendant toute la durée du soudage. Cette
mesure permet d'éviter que le courant de retour
puisse passer à travers le câble de terre du Power
Focus dans le cas où le câble de retour de la
soudeuse ne serait pas correctement fixé sur la
pièce à travailler. Atlas Copco recommande que la
mise à la terre soit réalisée avec un conducteur
d'une section minimum égale à celle du câble de
retour de la soudeuse.
Zone de travail
La zone de travail doit toujours être propre et
bien éclairée. Les établis encombrés et un défaut
d'éclairage sont des sources d'accident.
Ne faites pas fonctionner les outils électriques
dans des atmosphères explosives, notamment en
présence de liquides inflammables, gaz ou pous-
sières. Les outils électriques créent des étincelles
qui peuvent enflammer les poussières et les
fumées.
Lorsque vous utilisez un outil mécanique, main-
tenez les spectateurs, les enfants et les visiteurs
éloignés de la zone de travail. Une distraction
peut vous faire perdre le contrôle de l'appareil.

Sécurité électrique
Les outils mis à la terre doivent être raccordés à
une prise correctement installée et reliée à la
terre conformément à la réglementation et aux
normes applicables. Ne retirez jamais la broche
de terre. N’utilisez pas d’adaptateur. En cas de
doute sur la bonne mise à la terre des
équipements, demandez à un électricien de véri-
fier ce point. S’il devait y avoir un mauvais fonc-
tionnement ou une panne d’origine électronique
sur les outils, la mise à la terre offrirait un chem-
inement à basse résistance qui éloignerait l’élec-
tricité de l’utilisateur.
CET APPAREIL DOIT ÊTRE MIS À LA
TERRE!
Une unité Power Focus ne peut pas être alimentée
par une tension isolée galvaniquement car ceci
pourrait empêcher le fonctionnement du disjonc-
teur différentiel. Le bouton de test du disjoncteur
différentiel active également le disjoncteur lorsque
l’unité Power Focus est équipée d’un transforma-
teur isolé. Testez le disjoncteur de fuite à la terre
en appuyant sur le bouton de test situé sur le pan-
neau arrière de l’unité Power Focus.
Effectuez tous les mois un test du disjoncteur en
appuyant sur le bouton de test. Si le disjoncteur de
fuite à la terre venait à couper le circuit, assurez-
vous de trouver la cause première avant de repren-
dre les opérations.
Évitez tout contact corporel avec des objets mis
à la masse tels que les tuyauteries, les radia-
teurs, les cuisinières et les réfrigérateurs. Les
risques d’électrocution augmentent lorsque le
corps est en contact avec la terre.
N’exposez pas les outils à la pluie ou à l’humid-
ité. La présence d’eau à l’intérieur de l’outil aug-
mente les risques d’électrocution. Cette remarque
ne concerne pas les outils classés étanches à l’eau
ou aux éclaboussures.
Pour avoir un minimum d’interférences élec-
triques, placez l’équipement aussi loin que possi-
ble des sources potentielles de parasites
(équipement de soudure à l’arc, etc.).
Soyez précautionneux avec le cordon d’alimen-
tation. Ne vous servez jamais du cordon pour
porter l’outil ou pour retirer la fiche hors de la
prise. Maintenez le cordon à l’écart des sources
de chaleur, des huiles, des arêtes coupantes ou
des pièces en mouvement. Remplacez immédi-
atement un cordon endommagé. Les risques
d’électrocution augmentent lorsqu’un cordon est
endommagé.
Sécurité des personnes
Restez vigilant, veillez à ce que vous faites et
faites appel à votre bon sens lorsque vous
utilisez un outil mécanique. N’utilisez pas l’outil
si vous êtes sous l’influence de drogues, d’alcool
ou de médicaments. Lorsqu’on utilise des outils
mécaniques, toute absence momentanée de con-
centration peut être à l’origine de graves blessures
corporelles.
Habillez-vous correctement. Ne portez pas des
vêtements amples ou des bijoux pendants.
Maintenez vos cheveux, vos habits et vos gants à
l’écart des pièces en mouvement. Les vêtements
amples, les bijoux pendants ou les cheveux longs
peuvent être pris accidentellement dans les pièces
en mouvement.
Évitez tout démarrage accidentel de l’outil.
Veillez à ce que l’interrupteur soit sur la posi-
tion d’arrêt avant de brancher l’appareil à la
prise d’alimentation. Le fait de porter l’outil en
ayant le doigt sur l’interrupteur ou de le brancher
lorsque l’interrupteur est en position de marche
conduit automatiquement à des accidents.
Retirez les clés de réglage ou les interrupteurs
avant de mettre en marche l’outil. Une clé ou
une clavette restée fixée à une pièce en mouvement
peut occasionner des blessures corporelles.
Ne soyez jamais en position instable. Main-
tenez-vous bien en équilibre avec une bonne
assiette au sol. Une bonne position des pieds et un
bon équilibre vous permettent de mieux contrôler
l’outil dans des situations difficiles et inattendues.
Utilisation de l'outil et précautions
Utilisez des dispositifs de serrage ou autres
moyens pratiques pour bien tenir et supporter
la pièce à travailler sur une plate-forme stable.
Lorsque vous maintenez la pièce à la main ou con-
tre votre corps, la position est instable et vous
risquez de perdre le contrôle de l'outil.
Ne forcez pas l'outil. Utilisez l'outil Atlas Copco
qui convient pour l'application. Le bon outil per-
mettra de mieux travailler et de manière plus sûre à
la vitesse pour laquelle il a été conçu.

N'utilisez pas l'outil si l'interrupteur ne fonc-
tionne pas correctement. Tout outil qui ne peut
pas être commandé au moyen de l'interrupteur est
dangereux et doit être réparé.
Débranchez la fiche de la prise d'alimentation
avant de procéder à des réglages, de changer les
accessoires ou de ranger l'appareil. De telles
mesures de précaution permettent de diminuer les
risques d'un démarrage accidentel de l'outil. La
prise secteur est considérée comme un dispositif de
déconnexion. Déconnectez donc l'outil du secteur
en retirant la fiche de la prise afin de couper toute
alimentation électrique.
Placez les outils non utilisés hors d'atteinte des
enfants et des personnes qui n'ont pas été for-
mées pour les utiliser. Dans les mains de telles
personnes, les outils peuvent être dangereux.
Contrôlez le bon alignement et le bon grippage
des pièces en mouvement. Vérifiez l'état de
l'outil ou toute autre condition pouvant affecter
son utilisation. Si l'outil est endommagé, faites-
le réparer avant de l'utiliser. Beaucoup d'acci-
dents sont provoqués par des outils mal entretenus.
Utilisez uniquement les accessoires qui ont été
recommandés par le fabricant pour le modèle
de votre outil. Des accessoires qui conviennent à
un outil peuvent être dangereux sur un autre outil.
Maintenance
Les outils doivent uniquement être entretenus
par un personnel qualifié chargé des répara-
tions. L'entretien ou la maintenance effectués par
un personnel non qualifié peuvent exposer les util-
isateurs à des risques de graves blessures.
Lors de l'entretien des outils, utilisez unique-
ment des pièces de rechange d'origine. L'utilisa-

sans fil à bande ultralarge (UWB) certifié dans le
cadre de la Partie 15.517 des règles de la FCC
(FCC ID SEATAG22). Son utilisation est soumise

tèmes UWB d'intérieur, en particulier la stipulation
selon laquelle ces dispositifs ne doivent être util-

Installation
Liste de vérification pour l'installation
Ce Power Focus est un appareil de contrôle et
de surveillance des outils d'assemblage élec-
triques. Le système de serrage prêt à l'emploi
est constitué de plusieurs éléments :
• un contrôleur Power Focus. Cet appareil ex-
iste en deux versions différentes : Graph et
Compact. Les principales différences entre ces
deux modèles résident dans l'interface utilisa-
teur et les dimensions.
• une RBU, ("Rapid Backup Unit" ou unité de
sauvegarde rapide), activant le niveau de fonc-
tionnalité correspondant (Bronze, Silver, Gold,
X, DS)
• un câble d'outil, disponible en différents mod-
èles et différentes longueurs
• et un outil. L'outil Tensor S/ST/SL existe en
différentes configurations et avec différentes
plages de couples.

Procédure d’installation
1. Fixez le contrôleur sur un mur ou sur une
plaque d’acier a moyen de 4 vis M6. Si l’ap-
pareil est fixé sur un mur, assurez-vous
d’utiliser une console murale adaptée (chevilles
et vis). S’il est fixé sur une plaque d’acier,
veillez à ce que la plaque ait une épaisseur de 2
mm minimum.
2. Ouvrez le mécanisme de verrouillage
3. Ouvrez le contrôleur lentement vers vous pour
éviter tout risque de blessure ou d’endommage-
ment
4. Raccordez le câble d’outil, le câble d’alimenta-
tion, etc.
5. Raccordez la RBU
6. Fermez et verrouillez le contrôleur
7. Branchez le câble d’alimentation à une source
de courant (115/230 V)
8. Mettez l’appareil sous tension

Prévention des problèmes de DES
Les composants que contiennent l’outil et le con-
trôleur sont sensibles aux décharges électrosta-
tiques. Pour éviter tout mauvais fonctionnement
futur, assurez-vous que les opérations d’entretien
et de maintenance se déroulent dans un environ-
nement de travail homologué DES. L’illustration
ci-dessous présente un exemple de poste de travail
acceptable pour l’entretien.

• S'organiser pour avoir un rayon d'action
adapté en déterminant l'endroit où les
pièces ou outils devraient être positionnés
pour éviter les efforts statiques.
• Utiliser des équipements de poste de travail
tels que des tables et des chaises adaptés à
la tâche à réaliser.
• Éviter les positions de travail au-dessus de
l'épaule ou avec un maintien statique pendant
les opérations d'assemblage.
• Pour travailler au-dessus de l'épaule, ré-
duire la charge sur les muscles statiques en
réduisant le poids de l'outil, à l'aide par ex-
emple de bras de réaction, enrouleurs de
flexible ou équilibreurs. On pourra égale-
ment réduire la charge sur les muscles sta-
tiques en tenant l'outil près du corps.
• Veiller à faire des pauses fréquentes.
• Éviter les postures extrêmes du bras ou du
poignet, en particulier pour les opérations
nécessitant un certain effort.
• S'organiser pour avoir un champ de vision
adapté en limitant le mouvement des yeux et de
la tête pendant l'exécution de la tâche.
• Utiliser un éclairage adapté à la tâche à réaliser.
• Sélectionner l'outil adapté à la tâche à réaliser.
• Utiliser des équipements de protection auditive
dans les environnements bruyants.
• Utiliser des outils insérés ou des consommables
de grande qualité pour limiter au strict mini-
mum l'exposition à des niveaux excessifs de vi-
brations.
• Limiter l'exposition aux forces de réaction.
• Pendant le tronçonnage:
Un disque à tronçonner peut se coincer s'il
est fléchi ou s'il n'est pas correctement
guidé. Veiller à utiliser les flasques voulus
pour les disques à tronçonner et éviter de
fléchir le disque pendant le tronçonnage.
• Pendant le perçage:
La perceuse peut caler lorsque le foret
débouche. Veiller à utiliser des poignées
latérales si le couple de calage est trop
élevé. La norme de sécurité ISO11148 par-
tie 3 recommande d'utiliser un moyen d'ab-
sorber le couple de réaction au-dessus de
10Nm pour les outils à poignée révolver et
4Nm pour les outils droits.
• Lors de l'utilisation de visseuses ou boulon-
neuses à entraînement direct:
Les forces de réaction dépendent du réglage
de l'outil et des caractéristiques de l'assem-
blage. La capacité à supporter les forces de
réaction dépend de la force de l'opérateur et
de sa posture. Adapter le réglage de couple
à la force de l'opérateur et à sa posture et
utiliser un bras ou un toc de réaction si le
couple est trop élevé.
• Utiliser un système d'extraction des poussières
ou un masque de protection de la bouche dans
les environnements poussiéreux.

Si vous utilisez les Power Focus comme des unités
autonomes et que vous faites démarrez les outils
manuellement (aléatoire), vous pouvez normale-
ment raccorder jusqu'à trois Power Focus sur un
même branchement. Si vous synchronisez les
broches, il vous faut un branchement pour chaque
contrôleur Power Focus.
Câblage
Toutes les connexions se trouvent au dos de l'ap-
pareil. Si vous devez changer la prise du câble d'al-
imentation, procédez selon le guide de câblage
suivant :

Attention ! Le câble d'alimentation est le principal
dispositif de débranchement. Si vous devez ouvrir
un appareil Power Focus, débranchez d'abord le

Attention ! Ne pas alimenter l'appareil avec une
tension à isolation galvanique car cela arrêterait le
fonctionnement du disjoncteur différentiel ou GFI
(Ground Fault Interrupter). Le bouton Test du dif-
férentiel permet de déclencher ce dernier même si
le Power Focus est alimenté par un transformateur
isolé.

Eine Nichtbeachtung der Sicherheitshinweise kann
zu Kurzschlüssen, Bränden oder schweren Verlet-
zungen führen.
BEWAHREN SIE DIESE ANWEISUNGEN
AUF!
Alle lokalen gesetzlichen Sicherheitsbestim-
mungen hinsichtlich Installation, Bedienung
und Instandhaltung müssen stets beachtet wer-
den. Installations- und Wartungsarbeiten dür-
fen nur von Fachpersonal ausgeführt werden.
Bei gleichzeitigem Arbeiten mit einer Schweißaus-
rüstung ist das Werkstück während der gesamten
Dauer des Schweißvorgangs separat zu erden.
Damit soll verhindert werden, dass Rückstrom
durch die Power Focus-Erdungskabel läuft, für den
Fall, dass die Rückleitung der Schweißausrüstung
nicht ordnungsgemäß am Werkstück montiert
wurde. Atlas Copco empfiehlt, bei der Erdung
einen Leitungsquerschnitt einzuhalten, der mindest
so stark ist wie die aktuelle Rückleitung der
Schweißausrüstung.
Arbeitsbereich
Halten Sie Ihren Arbeitsbereich stets sauber
und sorgen Sie für eine gute Beleuchtung.
Unaufgeräumte Arbeitsplätze und unaus-
geleuchtete Bereiche sind potenzielle Gefahren-
quellen.
Benutzen Sie die Werkzeuge nicht in explosion-
sgefährdeten Umgebungen, z.B. in der Nähe
entflammbarer Flüssigkeiten, explosiver Gase
oder in staubigen Bereichen. Die Werkzeuge
verursachen Funken die Staub oder Gase zur
Entzündung bringen können.
Halten Sie Umstehende, Kinder und Besucher
während der Benutzung eines Werkzeugs von
Ihrem Arbeitsbereich fern. Ablenkungen und
Unachtsamkeiten können zu Unfällen führen.
Elektrische Sicherheit
Geerdete Werkzeuge müssen mit vorschrift-
gemäß installierten und geerdeten Steckdosen
verbunden werden. Entfernen Sie den Er-

dungsstift niemals. Manipulieren Sie den
Stecker in keiner Weise. Verwenden Sie keine
Adapterstecker. Setzen Sie sich mit einem qual-
ifizierten Elektriker in Verbindung, falls Sie an
der sachgemäßen Erdung der Steckdose
zweifeln. Im Falle einer elektrischen
Gerätestörung kann über den geringen Widerstand
der Erdung die Elektrizität vom Gerät abfließen
und dadurch die Person geschützt werden.
DIESES GERÄT MUSS GEERDET WERDEN!
Power Focus-Einheiten dürfen nicht mit gal-
vanisch isolierter Spannung versorgt werden, da
ansonsten die Funktionsweise des Erdschlussschal-
ters (GFI) beeinträchtigt wird. Der Erdschlusss-
chalter wird per Test-Taste aktiviert, selbst wenn
die Power Focus-Einheit mit einem isolierten
Transformator ausgestattet ist. Testen Sie den Erd-
schlussschalter durch Drücken der Test-Taste, die
sich an der Rückseite der Power Focus-Einheit
befindet.
Testen Sie den Erdschlussschalter jeden Monat
durch Drücken der Test-Taste. Wenn der Erd-
schlussschalter das System von der Stromver-
sorgung trennt, muss vor einer weiteren Verwen-
dung des Geräts zuerst die Ursache ermittelt wer-
den.
Vermeiden Sie Körperkontakt mit geerdeten
Oberflächen wie Rohren, Heizkörpern,
Kühlschränken und Herden. Es besteht erhöhte
Stromschlaggefahr, wenn Ihr Körper geerdet ist.
Setzen Sie die Werkzeuge niemals Regen,
Wasser oder Feuchtigkeit aus. Wasser im
Gehäuseinneren erhöht die Stromschlaggefahr.
Dieser Hinweis gilt nicht für Geräte, die als
wasserdicht oder spritzwasserfest eingestuft sind.
Um elektrische Störeinflüsse zu minimieren, ver-
wenden Sie das Gerät so weit wie möglich von
elektrischen Störstrahlungen entfernt (Lichtbogen-
schweißausrüstung usw.).
Zweckentfremden Sie das Stromkabel niemals.
Tragen Sie das Werkzeug niemals am Kabel.
Versuchen Sie nicht, den Stecker durch Ziehen
am Kabel aus der Steckdose zu entfernen. Hal-
ten Sie das Kabel fern von Hitze, Öl, scharfen
Kanten oder beweglichen Teilen. Tauschen Sie
beschädigte Kabel umgehend aus. Beschädigte
Kabel erhöhen die Stromschlaggefahr.
Persönliche Sicherheit
Seien Sie beim Arbeiten mit den Werkzeugen
stets aufmerksam und achten Sie auf Ihre
Handlungen. Benutzen Sie dabei Ihren gesun-
den Menschenverstand. Verwenden Sie das
Werkzeug nie in ermüdetem Zustand oder
unter dem Einfluss von Drogen, Alkohol oder
Medikamenten. Bereits ein kurzer Moment der
Unachtsamkeit bei der Werkzeugverwendung kann
zu schweren Verletzungen führen.
Tragen Sie geeignete Arbeitskleidung, vermei-
den Sie weite Kleidung und Schmuck. Binden
Sie langes Haar zurück. Halten Sie Haare, Klei-
dung und Handschuhe fern von beweglichen
Teilen. Weite Kleidung, Schmuck oder lange
Haare können sich darin verfangen.
Vermeiden Sie unabsichtliches Einschalten.
Überprüfen Sie vor dem Einstecken, ob sich das
Werkzeug im ausgeschalteten Zustand befindet.
Das Tragen von Werkzeugen mit dem Finger auf
dem Schalter oder das Einstecken von eingeschal-
teten Werkzeugen kann leicht zu Unfällen führen.
Entfernen Sie vor dem Einschalten alle Ein-
stellschlüssel oder Werkzeuge. Schraubenschlüs-
sel oder ähnliche Komponenten, die mit einem
rotierenden Werkzeugteil verbunden sind, können
Verletzungen verursachen.
Stolpern Sie nicht, sorgen Sie für einen festen
Stand und halten Sie stets das Gleichgewicht.
Dadurch behalten Sie in unerwarteten Situationen
bessere Kontrolle über das Werkzeug.
Verwendung und Instandhaltung des
Werkzeugs
Verwenden Sie Klemmen oder andere geeignete
Hilfsmittel um das Werkstück auf einer stabilen
Arbeitsunterlage zu befestigen. Das Halten oder
Anpressen an den Körper ist unsicher und kann zu
einem Verlust der Kontrolle über das Werkstück
führen.
Wenden Sie beim Umgang mit dem Werkzeug
keine Gewalt an. Verwenden Sie das passende
Atlas Copco-Gerät für die jeweilige Anwen-
dung. Das korrekte Gerät führt Arbeiten besser
und sicherer aus als ein Werkzeug, das nicht für
diese Aufgabe ausgelegt ist.
