All the service activities, including those related to maintenance of the batteries, must be executed
only by Atlas Copco service personnel who has been properly trained.

1 Introduction
1.1 About This Document
This document is a user manual for the STB and it is divided into the main following parts:

Chapter 1 Introduction This part introduces this user manual and details bench
technical specifications.
Chapter 2 Bench Overview This part introduces the STB models and operating
principles.
Chapter 3 User Interfaces This chapter provides an overview of the user
interfaces available on the STB (Transducers, Monitor,

This part explains how to conduct a free test on
wrenches, pulse tools, power tools, and torque/force
test.

MAIN FUNCTIONS
•Testing in Statistic Control, Cm and Cmk measurements and tool calibration.
•Extremely simple for the user, providing immediate results with colored lamps:
Green: OK, Red: NOT OK
•Storage of test traces and reports with date and time.
•Ability to regulate and calibrate torque wrenches on the same test bench.
•First peak detection function.

•Torque range: 0.2 Nm ÷ 3000 Nm maximum (the real range depends from the bench transducers
configuration)
•Torque measurement accuracy: 0.5 % readout ±1 digit (from 20% to 100% of cell capacity)
1 % readout ±1 digit (from 10% to 20% of cell capacity)
•Torque overload capacity: 120%
•Temperature stability of torque measurement: 0.1% of capacity/10 °C
•Battery power supply (2 batteries 12 V 72 A/h): 16 hours’ endurance in operation mode
•Recharging at 100 ÷ 230 VAC 50 ÷ 60 Hz; if the bench is switched off, recharging takes maximum 6
hours. (not for JSB 3890)
