2. Safety instructions
Please keep these operating instructions and read them before use.
Observe the safety instructions.
Installation is the customer‘s responsibility within the framework of the Low Voltage
Directive 2014/35/EU and not the responsibility of AKKU SYS Akkumulator- und
Batterietechnik Nord GmbH.
AKKU SYS Akkumulator- und Batterietechnik Nord GmbH is not responsible for any
damage caused by the user‘s failure to follow the instructions and improper handling.
CAUTION:
If several modules are connected in series, the total voltage increases (Low
Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU). The installation should then only be carried
out by a specialist company. In case of injuries and accidents of any kind, the
installer himself is liable.
■ When you receive the goods, make sure that you use suitable tools to
unpack them in order to prevent damage to the module. Check for any
damage that may have occurred during transport. If the product is damaged
or does not function properly, do not use it. Contact your supplier.
■ Make sure that no sharp or heavy objects damage the surface of the solar
module.
Do not drill any additional holes on the frame or the surface of the module.
■ Prevent rain, moisture or water from entering the electrical connections and
do not carry out any work on your solar system in rain or strong winds.
■ Transport and handle the modules as carefully as possible on the outside
of the frame. Do not grip in the middle of one side of the module in order
not to exceed the max. bending radius. It is recommended to transport the
modules and mount them on a roof with two people if possible.
Do not walk or stand on the modules.
■ Use only approved, insulated tools and do not touch exposed electrical
conductors.
■ When wiring the connections, ensure the correct polarity to avoid short
circuits.
For the electrical connections of your solar system, use only modules of the
same type and the cables and connections intended for them.
The recommended cable cross-section is 4 mm².

■ Avoid contact of products with corrosive substances such as acids, alkalis
and oils as well as with paint and adhesives. Do not place the modules near
places where ammable gases can escape.
■ Avoid direct sunlight on the back of the module and refrain from articially
amplifying the sunlight on the module (e.g. by mirrors).
■ Charging a battery is only possible with a charge controller connected (not
included in the scope of delivery).
■ When disconnecting the modules from the solar system, make sure that the
charge controller (not included in the scope of delivery) is disconnected from
the power supply on both sides.
CAUTION:
In general, follow the manufacturer‘s safety instructions during installation and
maintenance and use suitable fall protection when working on the roof.
NOTE:
Check the module surfaces regularly.
Remove heavy soiling such as bird droppings etc. immediately so as not to
impair performance.
Clean the modules with lime-free running water.
Cleaning with a high-pressure cleaner or a washing machine can damage the
modules.

3. Installation notes
When installing the a-TroniX PPS solar ex module, make sure that it is in direct sunlight
and free from shade for as long as possible.
In order to obtain the highest possible output, the solar module should be oriented
towards the north in southern latitudes and towards the south in northern latitudes.
3.1 Mounting with glue
The surface should be thoroughly cleaned and free of oil and dust before mounting
Material required:
■ Adhesive Glue (e.g. Sikaex)
■ Caulking Gun
■ Putty Knife
Mounting:
■ Apply the adhesive to the back of the module in either horizontal or vertical lines.
■ Leave a gap of 5 cm between the adhesive and the outer edge of the module.
■ When applying the glue, try not to interrupt the glue line.
■ After applying the adhesive, place the module on the cleaned mounting surface and
apply even pressure to the entire surface of the module.
■ It is best to remove any glue that may escape from the sides with a spatula.
Do not use chemicals.
■ Do not move the module after bonding and allow the adhesive to cure completely.
NOTE:
Other mounting forms, e.g. attachment via the integrated eyelets are possible.
