VALET FUNCTION
TheSecurity Systemhasavalet orstand-bymodethatcanbeusedwhenthevehicleisbeingserviced
orvaletparked. Toactivatethe valet, turnthevehiclesignitiontothe“ON” position, thenpushandhold
the valet / override switch for 2 seconds or until the Security Systems LED turns ON solid. Turn the
vehicles ignition to the “OFF” position; your vehicle is now in valet mode. To reactivate, repeat the
aboveprocedurenotingthe Security Systems LEDwillnow turn OFF.
Note: If your vehicle has the Keyless Entry option installed, you can still lock and unlock the
vehiclesdoorswithRemoteControl TransmitterwhileintheValetMode.
PASSIVE/MANUAL OPERATION
ManualArming / Disarmingis controlling yourSecurity System viathe Remote Control Transmitter.
Thissecuritysystem is equipped withanoptional Passive Arming feature,whichallows the Security
Systemto arm 30seconds after the lastdoor is closed.Operation is asfollows.
1. Turnthe vehicles ignition tothe“OFF” position and exitthevehicle.
2. Afterall entrances are closed, the Security Systems LED willflashfastfor30seconds.Ifyoure-
openanydoor,theSecuritySystemsLEDwillstop flashing. It will beginflashingagainoncethe
vehiclesdoorisclosed.
3. Afterthe 30 second timerhaselapsed,theSecurity System will automatically “ARM”.Thesiren
willchirp (1) timeand the vehiclesparking lights willflash (1) time.
Note: Ifthevehicles door locks havebeeninterfaced to the SecuritySystem,the vehicles doors
willautomaticallylockafterthepassivearmingcyclehasbeencompleted. Ifthis feature is
notdesired, see your localdealer and have theSecurity System re-programmedtoelimi-
nate passivedoor locking.
PASSIVE ARMING BY-PASS
YourAutoPageVehicleSecuritySystemcantemporarilyby-passthePassiveArmingfunctionviathe
Remote Control Transmitter. To temporarily by-pass Passive Arming, exit the vehicle and close all
doors. The LED will begin the fast flash 30 second timer for passive arming. Press the CAR icon
buttononthe transmitter twice,thesecurity will respondwith1 chirp andtheLED will turn“ON”. The
securitysystemwill remain in thistemporystateforaslongasyouwish. Toexitpassive by-pass press
theLockor Unlock buttonand the system willreturn to normal status.

PRIORITY UNLOCK (OPTIONAL)
Your AutoPage Security System is equipped with a priority door unlock feature which will indepen-
dentlyunlockthedriversdooronlywhendisarmingthe Security System. Pushing the Unlock button a
secondtimewithin 3secondswillunlocktheentirevehicle.
Thisfeaturerequiresadditionalinstallation
and is not a standard feature of the Security System.
AUTOMATIC REARMING (OPTIONAL)
Ifthisfeatureisselected, the Security System will automatically re-arm itself60secondsafterdisarm-
ingwiththeRemoteControlTransmitter.Automaticrearmwillcancelifanydoorisopenedbeforethe
60secondtimerhas elapsed.
IGNITION CONTROL DOOR LOCKS (OPTIONAL)
Ifthevehiclesdoorlockshavebeen interfaced to the Security System, theSecuritySystemwillauto-
matically lock the vehicles doors when the ignition is turned “ON”and/or unlock the vehicles doors
whentheignition is turned“OFF”.
Note: Ifany door is openwhen the ignitionisturned “ON”, the SecuritySystem will not
automatically lock the vehicles doors.
