YourAutoPageSecuritySystem comes with two5-buttonRemote Control Transmittersthat featurea
sophisticated code hopping system that will prevent illegal use of a code grabber with an attempt to
recordandstealyourtransmitter codes.
LOCK – ARM & LOCK
To arm your Security System, press the LOCK button once. The siren will chirp (1) time and the
vehiclesparkinglightswill flash (1) time indicating that theSecuritySystemisnowarmed.Thevehicles
doorswilllockupon arming when interfacedwiththeSecurity System.
UNLOCK – DISARM & UNLOCK
TodisarmyourSecuritySystem,presstheUNLOCKbuttononce. The siren will chirp (2) times and the
vehicles parking lights will flash (2) times indicating that the Security System is now disarmed. The
vehiclesdoorswillunlock upon disarming when interfacedwiththeSecurity System.
DELETING THE ARM/DISARM CHIRP
Whenattemptingtoarmor disarm your Security System, you have theoptionoftemporarilymutingthe
siren chirp sound. To perform this function, simply depress both LOCK & UNLOCK buttons on the
RemoteControlTransmitteratthesametime.Nochirp sound will be heard,arm/disarmconfirmation
willbethroughthe vehicles parking lights only.
CAR LOCATOR
YourAutoPageVehicle Security System isequippedwitha vehicle locator functionwhichchirps the
siren6times and flashesthe vehicle’sparking lights 12timesto easily locateyourvehicle. Toaccess
thisfunction, simply press theCAR icon buttonfirmly 2 timeson the RemoteControl Transmitter.
REMOTE PANIC FUNCTION
TheRemote Control Transmittermaybe used asa remote panicswitch that willactivatethe Security
System’ssirenandthevehiclesparkinglightsin case of anemergency. ToactivatethePANICfunction,
press and hold the LOCKLOCK
LOCKLOCK
LOCK button on the Remote Control Transmitter for (3) seconds. The siren will
soundand the vehiclesparking lights willflash continuously.Tocancel thePANIC function, pressthe
lockorunlockbutton on the RemoteControlTransmitter.
2nd CHANNEL AUXILIARY FUNCTION (OPTIONAL)
You may use the CAR icon button on your Remote Control Transmitter for a separate function. For
example,ifyourvehicleisequippedwithanelectronictrunkrelease, the Security System can be inter-
facedwithit and can electronicallyreleaseyourtrunkbypressingtheCARicon button for 2secondson
theRemoteControlTransmitter.
3rd CHANNEL AUXILIARY FUNCTION (OPTIONAL)
Youmayuse the CAR icon& LOCK buttons togetheron your RemoteControlTransmitterfor asepa-
ratefunction. For example, ifyour vehicle isequipped with powerwindowsor a sunroof, the Security
Systemcan be interfaced with an optional windowmodule thatcan electronically control your power
windowsorsunroof by pressing theCARicon & LOCKbuttonstogether for 2 secondsonthe Remote
ControlTransmitter.
SECURITY OPERATIONS
REMOTE TRANSMITTER OPERATION
OVERRIDE FUNCTION
TheOVERRIDE FUNCTION may beused if theRemote Control Transmitteris lostor inoperative.
To operate, enter the vehicle (alarm will sound), turn the vehicles ignition to the “ON” position and
push the valet/override switch untill the Security System stops sounding. The Security System is
disarmed&reset.HaveyourRemote Control Transmitterserviced or replaced.

VALET FUNCTION
TheSecurity Systemhasavalet orstand-bymodethatcanbeusedwhenthevehicleisbeingserviced
orvaletparked. Toactivatethe valet, turnthevehiclesignitiontothe“ON” position, thenpushandhold
the valet / override switch for 2 seconds or until the Security Systems LED turns ON solid. Turn the
vehicles ignition to the “OFF” position; your vehicle is now in valet mode. To reactivate, repeat the
aboveprocedurenotingthe Security Systems LEDwillnow turn OFF.
Note: If your vehicle has the Keyless Entry option installed, you can still lock and unlock the
vehiclesdoorswithRemoteControl TransmitterwhileintheValetMode.
PASSIVE/MANUAL OPERATION
ManualArming / Disarmingis controlling yourSecurity System viathe Remote Control Transmitter.
Thissecuritysystem is equipped withanoptional Passive Arming feature,whichallows the Security
Systemto arm 30seconds after the lastdoor is closed.Operation is asfollows.
1. Turnthe vehicles ignition tothe“OFF” position and exitthevehicle.
2. Afterall entrances are closed, the Security Systems LED willflashfastfor30seconds.Ifyoure-
openanydoor,theSecuritySystemsLEDwillstop flashing. It will beginflashingagainoncethe
vehiclesdoorisclosed.
3. Afterthe 30 second timerhaselapsed,theSecurity System will automatically “ARM”.Thesiren
willchirp (1) timeand the vehiclesparking lights willflash (1) time.
Note: Ifthevehicles door locks havebeeninterfaced to the SecuritySystem,the vehicles doors
willautomaticallylockafterthepassivearmingcyclehasbeencompleted. Ifthis feature is
notdesired, see your localdealer and have theSecurity System re-programmedtoelimi-
nate passivedoor locking.
PASSIVE ARMING BY-PASS
YourAutoPageVehicleSecuritySystemcantemporarilyby-passthePassiveArmingfunctionviathe
Remote Control Transmitter. To temporarily by-pass Passive Arming, exit the vehicle and close all
doors. The LED will begin the fast flash 30 second timer for passive arming. Press the CAR icon
buttononthe transmitter twice,thesecurity will respondwith1 chirp andtheLED will turn“ON”. The
securitysystemwill remain in thistemporystateforaslongasyouwish. Toexitpassive by-pass press
theLockor Unlock buttonand the system willreturn to normal status.
( Thisfeature isonly available when the PassiveArming featureis programmed“ON”)
PRIORITY UNLOCK (OPTIONAL)
Your AutoPage Security System is equipped with a priority door unlock feature which will indepen-
dentlyunlockthedriversdooronlywhendisarmingthe Security System. Pushing the Unlock button a
secondtimewithin 3secondswillunlocktheentirevehicle. Thisfeaturerequiresadditionalinstallation
and is not a standard feature of the Security System.
AUTOMATIC REARMING (OPTIONAL)
Ifthisfeatureisselected, the Security System will automatically re-arm itself60secondsafterdisarm-
ingwiththeRemoteControlTransmitter.Automaticrearmwillcancelifanydoorisopenedbeforethe
60secondtimerhas elapsed.
IGNITION CONTROL DOOR LOCKS (OPTIONAL)
Ifthevehiclesdoorlockshavebeen interfaced to the Security System, theSecuritySystemwillauto-
matically lock the vehicles doors when the ignition is turned “ON”and/or unlock the vehicles doors
whentheignition is turned“OFF”.
Note: Ifany door is openwhen the ignitionisturned “ON”, the SecuritySystem will not
automatically lock the vehicles doors.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY PROVISIONS
( U.S. and Continental U.S. Only)
1. AutoPage, Inc. WARRANTS that this new unit has been thoroughly inspected and
tested at the factory prior to delivery. Your AutoPage equipment is guaranteed for
life to the original purchaser/user of the equipment under the following conditions: If
the product proves defective (according to AutoPages testing) within the first year, the
defective unit may be exchanged or repaired free of charge. Proof of Purchase
(dated sales receipt) must accompany all warranty returns; otherwise, your return
will be rejected and sent back. After one (1) year, the purchaser should ship the unit
prepaid to AutoPage with a money order in the amount of $20.00 to cover shipping
and handling charges. Note: The enclosed Warranty Card may be required to receive
warranty services.
2. This WARRANTY will be considered void if the equipment has been misused,
neglected, improperly serviced, altered, dropped or damaged by water, contrary to the
AutoPage OPERATIONS MANUAL. Or, if used with accessories not approved b
y
AutoPage, which may have contributed to the defect.
3. The purchaser s remedies under this WARRANTY shall be limited to the repair or
replacement of electronic components only. THE FOLLOWING IS NOT COVERED:
Damages or deterioration to cases, batteries, covers and cabinets; the cost of repairs,
replacement and labor of which shall be borne by the purchaser even if occurring
during the WARRANTY period.
4. Any equipment or parts which are claimed to be defective under this WARRANTY
must be sent to the AutoPage Service center with proof of purchase at the
purchaser s expense prior to such return, a Return Authorization Number should be
obtained. AutoPage will return the equipment, charges prepaid. Warranty Service
can be provided through the dealer where the equipment is originally purchased.
5. Any unexpired WARRANTY shall be applicable to equipment and parts in the
possession of the original purchaser only.
6. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES,
EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTY
OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
7. AutoPage shall not be liable, under the foregoing WARRANTIES or otherwise, for:
Any personal injury of any kind to the purchaser, its employees or agents or anyone
else whomsoever resulting directly or indirectly from the use or presence of the
equipment or parts; Consequential damages of any kind; Any inability of the purchaser
to use the equipment.

NOTES

DOMELIGHT ILLUMINATED ENTRY (OPTIONAL)
YourAutoPageVehicle Security System is equippedwithadomelightilluminatedentryfeaturewhich
will turn on the vehicles interior lights for 30 seconds after the Security System is disarmed / un-
locked.Thisfeaturewillresetoncethevehiclesignitionisturned “ON”oriftheSecuritySystemisre-
armed.
PATHWAY ILLUMINATION (OPTIONAL)
Whendisarmingthe Security System,thevehicles parking lightswillstay on illuminatingyourpath-
waytothevehicle.Thevehiclesparkinglightswillstayonfor30secondsoruntilthevehiclesignition
isturned to the“ON”position.
3 or 30 SECOND ARMING DELAY (SELECTABLE)
After arming your vehicle with the Remote Control Transmitter, the siren will chirp (1) time and the
vehiclesparkinglightswill flash (1) time. TheSecuritySystemwillinstantly go into a3secondor30-
secondstandbymode to monitorallSecuritySystemfunctions.Theinstallwillprogram this featureto
your reques. After the time has elapsed, the Security System is now be fully armed. If a door is
openedorifyou have a faulty sensor,theSecuritySystemwillgiveawarningbychirping the siren (3)
times.
SHOCK SENSOR
YourAutoPageSecuritySystemincludes a dual zone shocksensordesignedto trigger the Security
Systemfrom impact to thevehicle, such as awindow being broken.Ifsensitivity adjustment should
becomenecessaryconsultyour local Authorized Dealer.Donotattemptto do this on yourown!
SENSOR BYPASS
YourAutoPageVehicle Security is equippedwithasensor bypass feature thatdisablesthe shock &
optionsensors intheeventyourvehicle issubjecttofalsealarms. Toenablethesensorbypassmode,
simplypresstheLOCK button twice within3seconds when arming theSecuritySystem.The Secu-
rity System will chirp one additional time to confirm the sensor bypass mode was activated. The
SensorBypassfeature is programmedtoactivateforonearmingcycleonly.TheSecuritySystemwill
returntonormaloperationduringthenext arming cycle.
STARTER DISABLE FEATURE (OPTIONAL)
Ifinstalledwith your SecuritySystem,this feature is designedto prevent a thieffromstarting your
vehicleoncetheyhavebrokenintoit.

Transmitter Programming
Enter:
1. Turn ignition switch ‘ON’.
2. Press the valet switch 3 times.
3. Horn will give one long chirp and the LED
will begin to flash once every 3 seconds.
Programming:
1. Press the any button on the first transmitter.
2. The horn will chirp 1 time.
3. Within 10 seconds push any button on the second
transmitter
4. The horn will chirp 2 times.
5. To program 3rd & 4th transmitters repeat steps
1 & 2 of programming.
Exit:
1. Turn the vehicle’s ignition to the ‘OFF’ position, Or Leave
for 10 seconds.
2. The horn will give 3 long chirps to confirm exiting program-
ming.
Second Vehicle Transmitter Programming
Your Autopage Remote Start System’s remote transmitter can
be programmed to control a second vehicle equipped with an
RST2050KE or RST2053AL. To program the transmitter to a
second vehicle, follow the instruction for transmitter program-
ming. All steps will be the same except for the following:
1. Prior to pushing any button on the transmitter.
Press the side Green shift button first.
2. Once the Green button is pressed the LED on the
transmitter will illuminate for 3.5 seconds
3. While the LED is illuminated, press any button on the
transmitter.
NOTE: The RST2050KE will only retain the last 4 remote transmitters
programmed into the system. If the transmitter memory is exceeded, the
RST2050KE will start deleting transmitters in the order of their
programming.

REMOTE START FEATURES
The remote start feature is activated using the remote control transmitters.
START:
a) Press the red * (star) button for 2 seconds.
b) The vehicles parking lights will flash 2 times and stay “ON”.
c) All doors will lock.
d) The ignition will turn ON and check the system; after 3
seconds the vehicle will start.
e) Three seconds after start the Accessory will turn “ON”.
f) The vehicle will run for the length of run-time selected.
Operating during remote start function:
The remote start can function while the vehicle is in the Locked secured
mode. When the engine is running from the remote start you can insert the
key into the vehicle’s ignition and turn the key to the run position. Tap the
brake pedal, the remote start will shut down. The engine will remain
running from the key in the ignition.
REMOTE START SAFTEY FEATURES
If the remote start system detects any of the following
conditions prior to remote starting or while the vehicle is
running, the system will not start or will shut down the system
immediately if running.
SAFTEY FEATURES:
a) The vehicles hood is opened. !
b) The vehicles brake pedal is pressed.
c) The vehicles engine exceeds 2000 RPM idle speed. "
e) The programmable run time has elasped.
! Additional installation maybe required.
" When programmed to Tach Sensing only.
DIAGNOSTIC PARKING LIGHTS CODES
The system has a built-in diagnostic routine which indicates why the unit
turned the engine off. The parking will flash 1 to 5 times to indicate which
of the following caused the engine to shut off or not start from transmitter.
CODES:
1. 1 Flash ---- RPM fail
2. 2 Flash ---- Voltage fail
3. 3 Flash ---- Hood pin fail
4. 4 Flash ---- Brake Light fail
