1.2 MARKING
The lifting device is manufactured in accordance with the relevant Community Directives and applied at the time
of placing on the market the same.
Being covered by the definition of "medical device" as Article 2, paragraph 1), letter a), first subparagraph of
Directive 2007/47/EC, it is affixed the relevant identification plate which, in addition to the specific technical data,
includes the CE marking, warranty of the correspondence of the item with the directives / standards mentioned in
the attached Declaration of Conformity.

1.4 IDENTIFICATION OF AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL
The user of the lift is the disabled person that is authorized to use the lift and is in possession of suitable physical
and mental requirements to operate the lift safely.
The operator authorized to position the lift can have different tasks:
-Prepare and place the lift for use
-Assist in positioning the person to be lifted (in case of necessity)
-Start and control the the proper functioning of the lift
-Carry out simple adjustment operations
-Charge the batteries
-Clean the machine
-Intervene in case of emergency
The operator for the maintenance of the lift is a qualified technician, able to operate on the lift in conditions of
open protections and able to operate on mechanical and electrical parts in order to carry out adjustments,
maintenance and repairs.
The natural or legal persons who purchase the lift is responsible for the disclosure of this
document to all staff that will interact with the lift.
In addition to the duty to follow the instructions given in this manual, the operators have the
obligation not to use the lift and report to their managers in charge or, in the absence of these,
directly to the manufacturer AUTOLIFT srl, any deficiency or potentially hazardous situation
which should occur.
1.5 STRUCUTURE AND USE OF THE MANUAL
USERS AND OPERATOR SHOULD HAVE READ IN
ADVANCE THIS MANUAL BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH
STARTING THE LIFT.
This manual is intended to provide the user, and then the operators, all the information necessary to ensure that,
in addition to an adequate use of the lift, are able to operate the same as autonomously and safely as possible.
Before carrying out any operation on the lift, users and operators should carefully read the instructions contained
in this publication.
In case of doubts about the correct interpretation of the instructions, contact directly the Technical Department of
AUTOLIFT srl to get the necessary clarifications.
This manual is an integral part of the lift and it must be kept with the utmost care by the purchaser which must
always make it easily usable by operators.
The content of this manual is in compliance with Directive 2007/47/EC and has been edited in accordance with
the guidelines of the UNI 10893:2000 regulations. There are also the requirements of UNI EN ISO 10535:2007
regulations.

This manual consists of 38 pages, including the cover, and equipped with attachments (see par.1.6).
Data and drawings are provided as example, the manufacturer, to pursue a policy of constant development and
updating of the product, can make changes without prior notice.
It is forbidden for anyone to disclose, modify or use for their own purposes this manual.
In the preparation of this manual it has been decided to use few attention pictograms / signs in order to make it
easier and immediate the consultation.

1.7 SAFETY –GENERAL RULES
OPERATORS SHOULD READ THIS INSTRUCTION
BEFORE USING THE LIFT .
The staff involved in the operation must be in perfect physical and psychological conditions.
Do not approach and do not put hands near moving parts.
Pay attention to the signs affixed on the lift.
Do not delete, remove, or modify the existing security systems.
Before carrying out any intervention, always disconnect the power supply by means of the
appropriate battery switch and press the emergency stop button. It will be then necessary to
display a sign indicating that the lift is in maintenance mode.
All standard and special maintenance interventions must be carried out by qualified and skilled
technical personnel (see chap. 1.4).

3.1 PROVIDED USE
The lift, placed at poolside, must be used only for the transfer of disabled persons inside the pool and for their
exit.
The positioning of the machine at the poolside should be without person on board, by an authorized operator.
The lift can be operated independently by the disabled person or an assistant using the relevant remote control.
In both cases, the user is an authorized person, trained and in possession of knowledge, physical and mental
requirements needed to carry out the operations of lowering and lifting.
3.2 NOT PROVIDED USE
Anything not specifically mentioned in chapter 3.1 is considered IMPROPER USE.
IT IS FORBIDDEN to stand on the lift or its parts to change level.
IT IS FORBIDDEN to use the lift to transport persons, animals or things.
IT IS FORBIDDEN to use the lift in the presence of stairs, steps, brittle or inclined surfaces.
IT IS FORBIDDEN to dip the lift into the water except for the seat and the footrest.
IT IS FORBIDDEN TO LOWER THE
SEAT INSIDE THE POOL WITH THE
LIFT ROTATED
THE MANUFACTURER DISCLAIMS ANY RESPONSIBILITY
FOR DAMAGE TO PERSONS OR THINGS OR TO THE

MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS NO PERSON OR THING THAT CAN BE BUMPED
DURING THE USE
PUT IN CHARGE THE BATTERIES ONLY IN A PROPER SPACE EQUIPPED
WITH EFFECTIVE VENTILATION.
DO NOT APPROACH TO MOVING PARTS.
DO NOT PLACE THE FEET UNDER THE FOOTREST OF THE LIFT.

IT IS FORBIDDEN TO MODIFY / REMOVE THE SIGNALS AFFIXED.
As necessary or required by the relevant legislation in force, use custom security equipment.
The personal safety devices are equipment designed to be worn by the worker to protect him against specific
risks than can arise due to the type of working effected.
The personal safety devices must be:
- Strictly individual.
- worn without exceptions.
- selected taking care that they are appropriate to prevent the specific risks for the work the operator wearing
them will effect.
- comfortable and safe.
- kept in in good working conditions and must be replaced when they are worn or damaged.
The following personal safety devices are foreseen for the assistant during the use:
Footwear with anti-slip soles.

In spite of all the protection devices have been taken in the design of the lift, including complementary protection
devices, there are still residual risks that are described below.
RISK OF OVERTURNING OF THE LIFT.
Pull out the two lateral stabilizers when the lift will be positioned at the poolside

If the floor on which the lift is moved / positioned
presents brittle parts, there is the possibility of a
overturning risk.
This risk is considered as residual risk and is indicated
in the sign placed on the lift.
This risk must be eliminated by the user. The
company AUTOLIFT Srl is able to offer and produce
any support plan as per Customer’s need if required
by the user.
IT IS FORBIDDEN TO LOWER THE
SEAT INSIDE THE POOL WHEN THE
LIFT IS ROTATED.
Risk of falling for the user: during the positioning phase in the water and the lifting one, the user
must be seated with the safety belt on.
It is forbidden to third persons to approach the machine during the rotation, dipping and lifting
phases. There is the risk of collision and crushing.

8.1 RECEIPT AND INSPECTION
Upon receipt of the lift carry out the following checks:
- Check whether the delivery agrees with the order specifications and to the transport document.
- Make sure the packaging is undamaged and that no parts are damaged or broken during transport.
- Carefully inspect that the machines have not been damaged during transport or that some parts have
not been removed or tampered with.
- Check the presence of the enclosed documentation required for the installation phase.
IN THE EVENT OF NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THE ABOVE
SPECIFICATIONS, IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE
MANUFACTURER.
8.2 STORAGE AND STOP OF THE LIFT
In case the lift is not used, it will be necessary to proceed as follows:
- Store indoors in a place sheltered by weather conditions.
- All electrical / electronic equipment must remain packed in order to be protected against moisture.
- The temperature of the place of storage must be between +5 ° C and +50 ° C.
- All parts with sliding (guides, cylinders ...) must be protected against dust and oxidation.
- The storage time is good does not exceed 6 months. In case of storage for longer periods, it is recommended
before proceeding with operating the machine, to contact the manufacturer for inspection of the conditions of the
lift.
THE STORAGE OF THE LIFT IN AREAS THAT
DO NOT CORRESPOND TO WHAT SPECIFIED,
WILL VOID THE WARRANTY FOR PARTS TO
BE REPLACED.
8.3 TRANSPORT
The transport of the lift must be effected through a vehicle (van, truck, etc..) with suitable size and capacity.
The lift is dispatched by the manufacturer packed in
carton box or wooden case fixed to a wooden or plastic
pallet.
The size of the package does not exceed 1635 x 875
x 1820 mm and the total weight of the package with
the lift does not exceed 400 kg.

8.4 HANDLING
Handling of the packed lift must be effected through
manual forklift, forklift, etc.
The vehicles used for safe handling procedures must
have a capacity not less than 400 kg.
PERSONNEL EMPLOYED FOR HANDLING MUST WEAR: SAFETY
SHOES WITH IRON TOE AND ANTI-SLIP SOLE.
MAKE SURE THAT NO UNAUTHORIZED PERSONNEL IS LOCATED IN
THE SPACE OF ACTION OF THE LIFTING / HANDLING VEHICLE
(TROLLEY, MANUAL FORKLIFT, ETC.) DURING LIFTING, HANDLING
AND TRANSPORT OPERATIONS.
To unpack the lift it is necessary, in case of carton package, to engrave with a sharp knife/cutter (blade length
max 1 cm) the 4 sides at the base of the package, which should be lifted and removed.
In the case of packing with wooden case, it is necessary to unrivet the wooden board starting from the top and
then removing the side walls.
PERSONNEL EMPLOYED FOR OPENING THE PACKAGE MUST
WEAR: SAFETY SHOES WITH IRON TOE AND ANTI-SLIP SOLE
AND SUITABLE GLOVES.
The handling of the lift once unpacked must be done by pushing it manually on the foreseen 4 wheels, on flat
floor, leveled and free of roughness and steps.
