2.Removethestripofbatterprotectionlmstickingoutfromthebattercoveronthefrontofthecasing.TheLEDon
thedeviceshouldturnON.
3.EnterPINnumberintotheZ-Wavecontroller.ThePINnumbercanbefoundonthedevice.Seewhereintheinstallation
guide.
4.TheinclusionprocessshouldbecompletedwhentheLEDstopsblinking.
5.Performtestbeforeouretthebattercover.SeeHowtotesttheZ-Waveevice.

•Removethebattercoverwiththetamperswitchnotbeingpressedonthedetector(testmode)
•Separatethemagnetfromthedetector.Thedetectorshouldthenash.
•Putthebattercoverbackonthedetector,andthedetectorwillenternormalmode.

Ifouhaveremovedthebatteries,wait5secondsbeforeouretthem.
Operationalguidelines
•Duetothelimitedpowersuppliedfromthebatteries,thedevicemanotoperatecontinuouslforanextendedperiodof
time.Therefore,thesetuptimefordeviceshouldbeminimized,andrepeatedpressesofthetamperswitchshouldbe
avoided,inordertopreventincidentscausedbaquickbattervoltagedrop.
•Youcanentertestmodebreleasingthetamperswitch.Ifthemagneticsensoristriggeredduringthattime,thentheLED
willbeilluminated.Youcanconrmwhetherthetamperswitchhasbeenpressedproperlbtestingthisfunction.
•Whenthetamperswitchhasbeenpressedandthedevicehasenterednormalmode,theLEDwillnotbeilluminatedeven
ifthemagneticsensoristriggered,unlesslowbatterisdetected.

Z-WaveGroup
ThedetectorsupportseitheroneoftwoZ-WaveAssociationGroups:
Group1:Associationwith1controllernode.
Group2:Associationwith4nodes(i.e.enddevicessuchassmartplugsandotherlightingcontrollers).Thisallowsthedetectorto
transfercommandsdirectltoenddeviceswithouttheparticipationofthecontroller.Thishastheeffectthatwhenthedetector
triggers,alldevicesassociatedwithdetectorwillbeoperated.
Note
Association-groupsupportcanvaramongZ-WaveControllers.TheAXISM5065supportsZ-WaveAssociationGroup1.
Group1commands:
•IfthedevicealreadisapartofaZ-Wavenetworkwhenpoweredup,thedevicewillsendaNoticationReportto
thenodeinGroup1.
•Whensettingupthedeviceorchangingthedevice’sstatus,thedevicewillsendaBinarSwitchReporttothenodeof
Group1.WhenthedeviceisturnedOFF,theSwitchBinarReportValue=0x00.WhenthedeviceisturnedON,the
SwitchBinarReportValue=0xFF.
•DeviceReset:WhenperformingFactorReset,thedevicewillsendDeviceResetLocallNoticationtothenodeofGroup1.
Group2commands:
•Whenthebuttononthedeviceispressed,thedevicewillsendaBasicSetcommandtothenodesofGroup2.Whenthe
deviceisOFF,BasicSetValue=0x00.WhentheunitisON,BasicSetValue=0xFF
