certicate.HTTPS(HypertextTransferProtocoloverSSL)isaprotocolusedtoencrypttrafcetweenwerowsersandservers.The

Selectthepowerlinefrequency(50Hzor60Hz)usedatthelocationoftheAxisproduct.Selectingthewrongfrequencymaycause
imageickeriftheproductisusedinuorescentlightenvironments.
Whenusing50Hz,themaximumframerateislimitedto25fps.

TheLiveViewpageintheproductprovidesaccesstoH.264andMotionJPEGvideostreams,andtothelistofavailalestream
proles.Otherapplicationsandclientscanaccessvideostreamsdirectly,withoutgoingviatheLiveViewpage.
HowtoStreamH.264
H.264can,withoutcompromisingimagequality,reducethesizeofadigitalvideoleymorethan80%comparedwiththeMotion
JPEGformatandasmuchas50%morethantheMPEG-4standard.Thismeansthatmuchlessnetworkandwidthandstoragespace
arerequiredforavideole.Orseenanotherway,muchhighervideoqualitycaneachievedforagivenitrate.
Decidingwhichcominationofprotocolsandmethodstousedependsonyourviewingrequirements,andonthepropertiesof
yournetwork.TheavailaleoptionsinAXISMediaControlare:
UnicastRTPThisunicastmethod(RTPoverUDP)isused
forliveunicastvideo,especiallywhenitis
importanttohaveanup-to-datevideostream,

clientsviewingsimultaneously.Amulticastcannothowever,passanetworkrouterunlessthe

AXISMediaControlnegotiateswiththeAxisproducttodeterminethetransportprotocoltouse.Theorderofpriority,listedinthe

TheitratecanesetasVariablebitrate(VBR)orMaximumbitrate(MBR).VBRadjuststheitrateaccordingtotheimage
complexity,usingupmoreandwidthforincreasedactivityintheimage,andlessforlowerimageactivity.Whentheactivityin
thesceneincreases,theitratewouldusuallyincreaseaswell.Ifthereisasurplusinandwidth,thismaynoteanissueand
selectingVariablebitrate(VBR)willesufcient.Butifandwidthislimited,itisrecommendedtocontroltheitrateyselecting
Maximumbitrate(MBR).Whentheactivityinthesceneincreases,VBRadjuststheitrateaccordingtothecomplexity,usingup
moreandwidthforincreasedactivityinthescene,andlessforlowersceneactivity.MBRallowsyoutosetatargetitratethat

LowLight-UsetheslidertosetthePriorityetweenLowmotionblurandLownoise.Whenprioritizinglowmotionlur(slider
allthewaytotheright)thecamerawillautomaticallyincreasegainasrightnessdecreases.Whenthegainreachestheset
maximumgainforlowlight,thecamerawilldecreaseshutterspeeduntilthesetmaximumshutterforlowlightisreached.
