•Formostsecases,selectAutomaticexposre.
OptimizeIRillumination
Dependingontheinstallationenvironmentandtheconditionsarondthecamera,forexampleexternallightsorcesinthescene,
yocansometimesimprovetheimageqalityifyomanallyadjsttheintensityoftheLEDs.Ifyohaveproblemswithreections
fromtheLEDs,yocantrytoredcetheintensity.

BenetfromIRligtinlow-ligtconditionsbyusingnigtmode
Yorcamerasesvisiblelighttodelivercolorimagesdringtheday.Btasthevisiblelightdiminishes,colorimagesbecomeless
brightandclear.Ifyoswitchtonightmodewhenthishappens,thecamerasesbothvisibleandnear-infraredlighttodeliverbright
anddetailedblack-and-whiteimagesinstead.Yocansetthecameratoswitchtonightmodeatomatically.
1.GotoVideo>mage>Day-nightmode,andmakesrethattheR-cutlterissettoAuto.
2.Tosetatwhatlightlevelyowantthecameratoswitchtonightmode,movetheThresholdslidertowardBrightorDark.
3.Tosethebilt-inIRlightwhenthecameraisinnightmode,trnonAllowilluminationandSynchronizeillumination.
Note
Ifyosettheswitchtonightmodetooccrwhenit’sbrighter,theimageremainssharperasthereislesslow-lightnoise.If
yosettheswitchtooccrwhenit’sdarker,theimagecolorsaremaintainedforlonger,btthereismoreimageblrde
tolow-lightnoise.
Reducenoiseinlow-ligtconditions
Toredcenoiseinlow-lightconditions,yocanadjstoneormoreofthefollowingsettings:
•Adjstthetrade-offbetweennoiseandmotionblr.GotoVideo>mage>ExposureandmovetheBlur-noisetrade-off
slidertowardLownoise.
•Settheexposremodetoatomatic.

Ahighmaxshttervalecanresltinmotionblr.
•Toslowdowntheshtterspeed,setmaxshttertothehighestpossiblevale.

Ifyomaximizethedetailsinanimage,thebitratewillprobablyincreaseandyomightgetaredcedframerate.
•GotoVideo>Stream>Generalandsetthecompressionaslowaspossible.
•Belowtheliveviewimage,clickandinVideoformat,selectMJPEG.
•GotoVideo>Stream>ZipstreamandselectOff.
Handlesceneswitstrongbackligt
Dynamicrangeisthedifferenceinlightlevelsinanimage.Insomecasesthedifferencebetweenthedarkestandthebrightest
areascanbesignicant.Theresltisoftenanimagewhereeitherthedarkorthebrightareasarevisible.Widedynamicrange
(WDR)makesbothdarkandbrightareasoftheimagevisible.
1.GotoVideo>mage>Widedynamicrange.
2.UsetheLocalcontrastslidertoadjsttheamontofWDR.
3.Ifyostillhaveproblems,gotoExposureandadjsttheExposurezonetocovertheareaofinterest.

Monitorlongandnarrowareas
Usecorridorformattobettertilizetheflleldofviewinalongandnarrowarea,forexampleastaircase,hallway,road,ortnnel.

2.Ifthedevicedoesn’thaveatomaticrotationoftheview,gotoVideo>nstallation.

Verifytepixelresolution
Toverifythatadenedpartoftheimagecontainsenoghpixelsto,forexample,recognizelicenseplates,yocansethepixel
