typeyouuse.
TheliveviewwindowintheproductprovidesaccesstoH.264andMotionJPEGvideostreamsandtothelistofavailablestream
proles.Otherapplicationsandclientscanaccessvideostreamsdirectlywithoutgoingviatheliveviewwindow.
AboutH.264format
H.264canwithoutcompromisingimagequalityreducethesizeofadigitalvideolebymorethan80%comparedwiththeMotion
JPEGformatandasmuchas50%morethantheMPEG-4standard.Thismeansthatmuchlessnetworkbandwidthandstoragespace
arerequiredforavideole.Orseenanotherwaymuchhighervideoqualitycanbeachievedforagivenbitrate.
Decidingwhichcombinationofprotocolsandmethodstousedependsonyourviewingrequirementsandonthepropertiesof
yournetwork.TheavailableoptionsinAXISMediaControlare:
UnicastRTPThisunicastmethod(RTPoverUDP)isused
forliveunicastvideoespeciallywhenitis
importanttohaveanup-to-datevideostream
evenifsomeframesaredropped.
