Thedevicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforyourdataandservices.Axisdevicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicyasthey
maybeusedinvarioustypesofinstallations.
Toprotectyourdatawestronglyrecommendthatyou:
•Useapasswordwithatleastcharacters,preferablycreatedbyapasswordgenerator.
•Don’texposethepassword.

Howtoconnectaashingbeacon
Useaashingbeacontoletpossibleintrudersknowthatyourperimeterisprotected.
Thisscenarioexplainshowtoconnectaashingbeaconandsetituptoashwheneverthethermalcameradetectsanintrusion.In
thisscenariothebeaconcanonlybeactivatedtoashduetoalarmsoutsideofcehours,between1.00and0.00Monday-Friday,
anditshouldashfor30secondseachtimeitisactivated.

4.Connectthebluewiretopin3(I/Oport)ofthemulticableI/Oterminalconnector.
5.Connecttheotherendofthebluewiretotheconnectormarkedwith-ontheashingbeacon.

ThisscenarioexplainshowtoconnectanAxisnetworkhornspeakertothecameraandsetituptoplayanaudioclipwheneverthe
thermalcameradetectsanintrusion.Inthisscenario,thehornspeakercanonlybeactivatedduetoalarmscomingoutsideofce
hours,between1.00and0.00Monday-Friday.
