TheliveviewwindowintheroductrovidesaccesstoH.264andMotionJPEGvideostreams,audiostreamsandtothelistofavailable
streamroles.Otheralicationsandclientscanaccessvideoandaudiostreamsdirectly,withoutgoingviatheliveviewwindow.
AboutH.264format
H.264can,withoutcomromisingimagequality,reducethesizeofadigitalvideolebymorethan80%comaredwiththeMotion
JPEGformatandasmuchas50%morethantheMPEG-4standard.Thismeansthatmuchlessnetworkbandwidthandstoragesace
arerequiredforavideole.Orseenanotherway,muchhighervideoqualitycanbeachievedforagivenbitrate.
Decidingwhichcombinationofrotocolsandmethodstousedeendsonyourviewingrequirements,andontheroertiesof
yournetwork.TheavailableotionsinAXISMediaControlare:
UnicastRTPThisunicastmethod(RTPoverUDP)isused
forliveunicastvideo,eseciallywhenitis
imortanttohaveanu-to-datevideostream,
evenifsomeframesaredroed.
