encryptedHTTPSconnectionandthenchangethepassword.
Thedevicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforthedataandservices.Axisdevicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicyastheymaybe
usedinvarioustypesofinstallations.Toprotectyourdatawerecommendthatyou:
•Changethedefaultpasswordthatcomeswiththedevices.
•Useapasswordwithatleast8characters,preferablycreatedbyapasswordgenerator.
•Don’texposethepassword.
•Changepasswordatarecurringinterval,atleastonceayear.

actions.Actionrulescanbesetupasscheduled,recurring,orforexample,triggeredbymotiondetection.
2.SelectwhatTriggermustbemettotriggertheaction.fyouspecifymorethanonetriggerfortheactionrule,all
ofthemmustbemettotriggertheaction.
3.SelectwhichActionthecamerashouldperformwhentheconditionsaremet.

Thereareseveralexposuremodeoptionsinthecamerathatadjustsaperture,shutterspeed,andgaintoimproveimagequalityfor
specicsurveillancescenes.GotoSettings>Image>Exposureandselectbetweenthefollowingexposuremodes:
•Formostusecases,selectAutomaticexposure.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiallighting,forexampleuorescentlighting,selectFlicker-free.
Selectthesamefrequencyasthepowerlinefrequency.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiallightandbrightlight,forexampleoutdoorswithuorescentlightingatnightand
sunduringdaytime,selectFlicker-reduced.
Selectthesamefrequencyasthepowerlinefrequency.
