2.Entertheusernameandpassword.Ifyouaccessthedeviceforthersttime,youmustsettherootpassword.SeeSeta

upasecureandencryptedHTTSconnectionandthenchangethepassword.
Thedevicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforyourdataandservices.Axisdevicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicyasthey
maybeusedinvarioustypesofinstallations.
Toprotectyourdatawestronglyrecommendthatyou:
•Useapasswordwithatleast8characters,preferablycreatedbyapasswordgenerator.
•Don’texposethepassword.

CapturemodedenesthemaximumframerateavailableintheAxisproduct.Dependingonwhichcapturemodeyouselect,you
maynotbeabletouseWDR.
Acapturemodeconsistsofaresolutionandthecorrespondingframerateavailableintheproduct.Thecapturemodesetting
affectsthecamera’seldofviewandaspectratio.
Thelowerresolutioncapturemodeiscroppedoutfromthehighestresolution.
Theimageshowshowtheeldofviewandaspectratiocanchangebetweentwodifferentcapturemodes.
Whichcapturemodetochoosedependsontherequirementsofframerateandresolutionforthespecicsurveillancesetup.For

Theremotefocusandzoomfunctionalityallowsyoutomakefocusandzoomadjustmentstoyourcamerafromacomputer.Itisa
convenientwaytoensurethatthescene’sfocus,viewingangleandresolutionareoptimizedwithouthavingtovisitthecamera’s
installationlocation.

Youcanstraightenaskewimagebyrotatingandcroppingitdigitally.Duetothecropping,apartoftheoriginalimageislost.The
functionalityisideallyusedtostraightentheimageduringinstallation.
