Acapturemodeconsistsofaresolutionandthecorrespondingframerateavailableintheproduct.Thecapturemodesetting
affectsthecamera’seldofviewandaspectratio.
Thelowerresolutioncapturemodeiscroppedoutfromthehighestresolution.
Theimageshowshowtheeldofviewandaspectratiocanchangebetweentwodifferentcapturemodes.

Remotefocsandzoom
Theremotefocusandzoomfunctionalityallowsyoutomakefocusandzoomadjustmentstoyourcamerafromacomputer.Itisa
convenientwaytoensurethatthescene’sfocus,viewingangleandresolutionareoptimizedwithouthavingtovisitthecamera’s
installationlocation.
Straightenaskewimage
Youcanstraightenaskewimagebyrotatingandcroppingitdigitally.Duetothecropping,apartoftheoriginalimageislost.The
functionalityisideallyusedtostraightentheimageduringinstallation.

trade-offslidertowardLownoise.
•Settheexposuremodetoautomatic.

Ahighmaxshuttervaluecanresultinmotionblur.
•Toslowdowntheshutterspeed,setmaxshuttertothehighestpossiblevalue.

Yourcamerausesvisiblelighttodelivercolorimagesduringtheday.Astheavailablelightdiminishes,youcansetthecamerato
automaticallyshifttonightmode,inwhichthecamerausesbothvisiblelightandnear-infraredlighttodeliverblack-and-white
images.Sincethecamerausesmoreoftheavailablelightitcandeliverbrighter,moredetailed,images.

Therearedifferentexposuremodeoptionsinthecamerathatadjustsaperture,shutterspeed,andgaintoimproveimagequalityfor
specicsurveillancescenes.GotoSettingsImageExposureandselectbetweenthefollowingexposuremodes:
•Formostusecases,selectAutomaticexposure.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiallighting,forexampleuorescentlighting,selectFlicker-free.
Selectthesamefrequencyasthepowerlinefrequency.

StabilizeashakyimagewithElectronicImageStabilization(EIS)
ElectronicImageStabilization(EIS)canbeusedinenvironmentswheretheproductismountedinanexposedlocationandsubjectto
vibrations,forexample,windorpassingtrafc.TurnonEIStogetasmootherandsteadierimagewithoutblur.
EISalsoreducesthelesizeofthecompressedimageandlowersthebitrateofthevideostream.

Decidewhichcompressionmethodtousebasedonyourviewingrequirements,andonthepropertiesofyournetwork.The
availableoptionsare:
MotionJPEG
MotionJEG,orMJEG,isadigitalvideosequencethatismadeupofaseriesofindividualJEGimages.Theseimagesarethen
displayedandupdatedataratesufcienttocreateastreamthatshowsconstantlyupdatedmotion.Fortheviewertoperceivemotion
videotheratemustbeatleast16imageframespersecond.Fullmotionvideoisperceivedat30(NTSC)or25(AL)framespersecond.
TheMotionJEGstreamusesconsiderableamountsofbandwidth,butprovidesexcellentimagequalityandaccesstoeveryimage
containedinthestream.

Resettofactorydefaultshouldbeusedwithcaution.Aresettofactorydefaultresetsallsettings,includingtheIaddress,to
thefactorydefaultvalues.
Toresettheproducttothefactorydefaultsettings:
1.Disconnectpowerfromtheproduct.
2.ressandholdthecontrolbuttonwhilereconnectingpower.SeeProductoverviewonpage4.
3.Keepthecontrolbuttonpressedfor15–30secondsuntilthestatusLEDindicatorashesamber.
4.Releasethecontrolbutton.TheprocessiscompletewhenthestatusLEDindicatorturnsgreen.Theproducthasbeenreset
tothefactorydefaultsettings.IfnoDHCserverisavailableonthenetwork,thedefaultIaddressis192.168.0.90.
