IfyoudonotknowtheIPaddress,useAXISIPUtilityorAXISDeiceManagertondthedeiceonthenetwork.

Axisdeicessendtheinitiallysetpasswordincleartextoerthenetwork.Toprotectyourdeiceaftertherstlogin,set
upasecureandencryptedHTTPSconnectionandthenchangethepassword.
Thedeicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforyourdataandserices.Axisdeicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicyasthey
maybeusedinarioustypesofinstallations.
Toprotectyourdatawestronglyrecommendthatyou:
•Useapasswordwithatleast8characters,preferablycreatedbyapasswordgenerator.
•Don’texposethepassword.
•Changethepasswordatarecurringinteral,atleastonceayear.

Toadjusttheiewinrelationtoareferenceareaorobject,usetheleelingguideincombinationwithamechanicaladjustment
ofthecamera.
1.GotoSettings>System>rientationandclick.
2.Adjustthecameramechanicallyuntilthepositionofthereferenceareaorobject,isalignedwiththeleelingguide.
Selectexposuremode
Therearedifferentexposuremodeoptionsinthecamerathatadjustsaperture,shutterspeed,andgaintoimproeimagequalityfor
specicsureillancescenes.GotoSettings>Image>Exposureandselectbetweenthefollowingexposuremodes:
BenetfromIRligtinlow-ligtconditionsusingnigtmode
Yourcamerausesisiblelighttodeliercolorimagesduringtheday.Astheaailablelightdiminishes,youcansetthecamerato
automaticallyshifttonightmode,inwhichthecamerausesbothisiblelightandnear-infraredlighttodelierblack-and-white
images.Sincethecamerausesmoreoftheaailablelightitcandelierbrighter,moredetailed,images.
1.GotoSettings>Image>Dayandnight,andmakesurethattheIRcutlterissettoAuto.
Reducenoiseinlow-ligtconditions
Toreducenoiseinlow-lightconditions,youcanadjustoneormoreofthefollowingsettings:

Increasingthemaxshutteraluecanresultinmotionblur.
•Theshutterspeedshouldbeasslowaspossible,whichmeansyoushouldsetmaxshuttertothehighestpossiblealue.
•Reducesharpnessintheimage.

Toreducemotionblurinlow-lightconditions,youcanadjustoneormoreofthefollowingsettings:

Imagenoisewillincreaseifyouincreasethegain.
•Increaseshutterspeedandgain.GotoSettings>Image>ExposureandsetMaxshuttertoashortertime,andMaxgain
toahigheralue.
Ifyouarestillexperiencingmotionblur,youcantryoneofthefollowing:
•Increasethelightleelinthescene.
•Mountthecamerasothatobjectsmoetowarditorawayfromitratherthansideways.
Handlesceneswitstrongbackligt
Dynamicrangeisthedifferenceinlightleelsinanimage.Insomecasesthedifferencebetweenthedarkestandthebrightest
areascanbesignicant.Theresultisoftenanimagewhereeitherthedarkorthebrightareasareisible.Widedynamicrange
(WDR)makesbothdarkandbrightareasoftheimageisible.
