2.2 DESCRIPTION OF NEW FUNCTIONALITIES
•The following describes the new functionalities in terms of their purpose and the meaning
of the steps and results.
•The operation of access, navigation, execution and output of functions and subfunctions
is described in the following chapter along with the other existing functions.
2.2.1 F030 –CLEANING FRESHMILK
NOTE: The alkaline cleaning function can be started, alternatively, by pressing PROG + H at
any time.
•Daily cleaning procedure of the fresh milk module with alkaline detergent.
•Daily cleaning is advised. The minimum level is to do it 1 time every 48 h.
•If it is not done within 48 hours the system will block the dispensing of fresh milk until
the cleaning is complete.
The process starts by requesting to insert the cleaning jug and start the initial rinse
by pressing D.
INT.
After a few seconds the system asks to empty the cleaning container, discarding the
water resulting from rinsing. It is requested to reintroduce the cleaning container,
this time adding 20 cl of the cleaning solution inside.
The process restarts by pressing D and has a total duration of 10 minutes.
Upon completion, the display displays the successfully completed process and
prompts confirmation with the D key. Confirmation by pressing D to reset the
cleaning cycle counter is important.

2.2.2 F030 –ACID CLEANING
Depending on the type of milk used, the hardness of the service water and whether the machine
incorporates a water filter, a cleaning with acid cleaner must be carried out at most every three
months.
To carry out acid cleaning you can follow the steps described in the previous point but using the Acid
cleaning liquid.
NOTE: The acid cleaning function must always be started from the F030, unlike the alkaline which can
be activated directly by pressing PROG + H.
This cleaning has a total duration of 20 minutes.
For more information consult the Technical Manual of Vitro S1 MIA.
2.2.3 F030 - TEST FRIDGE
•Functionality by which a communication with the cooling unit is established.
•The cooling unit returns its state and the current temperature of the chamber.
Inside F030 navigate with A to the TEST FRIDGE subfunction.
The cooling unit returns its state and the current temperature of the chamber.
If the refrigerator is not the one recommended by Azkoyen it will not respond to
this request. Nor will it be answered if in the F333 a profile has been configured that
dispenses with the functions of the Smart fridge (e.g. profiles 01 and 02)
The display will display a text like the following.
•The numerical value following T = [04] represents the temperature in the
chamber [4º C]
•OK if the level detects that there is milk in the container.
Exit the function by pressing C.
T 04: Milk OK
Always use the cleaner supplied by AZKOYEN with reference 41531580 ACIDIC LIQUID

2.2.4 F030 - TEST AIR INPUT
•This test measures the equivalent volume of air that would enter the milk circuit during
a pump time of 10 seconds.
•Instead of air intake, the test uses water in the opposite direction, that is, from the
machine to the outside.
•This function in combination with TEST MILK OUTPUT are used to calibrate the cream
generation system.
•On display, the test result would look like this:
Run by pressing D
•The resulting value of the test offers us information about the level of calibration and
the possibility of actuation:
•A correct calibration would be to obtain in this test a value that turns out to be 60%
of the value measured in TEST MILK OUTPUT.
▪If the value is higher, it would be necessary to close the manual air intake
valve.
▪If the value is lower, it would be necessary to open the manual air inlet valve.
2.2.5 F030 - TEST MILK OUTPUT
•This test complements the TEST AIR INPUT to obtain a calibration value of the cream
system.
•When executed, the volume in cubic centimeters of water that comes out of the milk
TEST AIR INPUT
52 cc

EV will be measured in a time of 10 seconds.
•The value obtained must be between 70 cc and 100 cc.
•A lower value means that there is a failure in the milk circuit.
•It would be necessary to check that there are no obstructions in the milk tube.
•If the tubes and connections of the circuit have been replaced, the value is still less
than the minimum volume, the milk pump should be replaced because it is damaged.
On display, the test result would look like this:
Run by pressing D
The value obtained, within the working margins, must be contrasted with that of the
air intake (AIR IN = 60% MILK OUT).

2.2.6 F315 PROG. SERVICES (NEW INGREDIENTS)
•The Vitro S1 MIA model brings two new ingredients to the recipe set.
•The ingredients are shown on display as: MILKLIQ (milk) and MILKFOAM (cream)
•The dispensed volume is defined in CC.
•Through the machine keyboard (F315) you can not vary the temperature of a predefined
service. This can be done through the PC configurator.
•The temperature of the ingredients MILKLIQ and MILKFOAM corresponds, by default, to the
milk temperature set in the F461. These ingredients can also be cold-summed, without
heater activation during dispensing. This adjustment must be made through the
TEST MILK OUTPUT

configurator. On the ingredient bar within the recipe, right-click, select Edit Step and check
the box with the indication Cold milk.
•The treatment of these ingredients through the programming keyboard is like that of any
other ingredient in the recipe. The time in which it should begin to dispense and the
amount represented in cc is indicated.
•From the F315 you can: Add, Delete and Modify steps with these ingredients.
2.2.7 F333 REFRIGERATOR
•Function 333 is used to configure options for the use of fresh milk in machines equipped
with fresh milk.
•The refrigerator that AZKOYEN recommends has an integrated milk level and temperature
control system, in the event that you use a refrigerator not approved by AZKOYEN, you will
not be able to make use of these features.
•When you access this function you can program a "Profile" that contemplates the activation
or not, of the following options:
•Temperature Sensor –used to control the temperature at which the milk is in the
refrigerator. This option can only be activated in "Smart" type refrigerators.
•Level Sensor –Used to control the minimum level of milk. The machine will warn you if that
level has dropped enough to not be able to perform the fresh milk service correctly. Option
also only available with "Smart" type refrigerators.
•Option of Conversion to soluble milk –When this option is activated the machine will
perform services with soluble milk in the event that the machine runs out of fresh milk or
cannot supply it due to a problem.
•Message type –The machine, depending on the profile, can communicate incidents in two
ways:
•Warning that there is an incident, placing an exclamation point on the screen. You must
access the schedule to know what the incident has been. In the table it is indicated as "!" .

•Displaying a message on the screen, as an alternative to the default message, indicating the
incident that has occurred. In the table it is indicated as "A".
