you to read and follow the recommendations of this user’s manual.
PLEASE KEEP THIS OWNER’S MANUAL SAFE AND READ IT BEFORE EACH USE.
This manual will explain how to use the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster safely and effectively.
Read the user manual thoroughly before rst use.
1. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This product has been designed to boost vehicles with 12 V batteries
only.
1.1 Working in the vicinity of a lead-acid battery is dangerous.
Batteries generate explosive gases during normal operation.
It is important that you follow these instructions each time you
use the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster.
1.2 To reduce the risk of battery explosion, follow these instructions
and those published by the battery manufacturer and the
manufacturer of any equipment that you intend to use in the
vicinity of a battery. Review any cautionary markings on these
products and on the engine. Read the vehicle owner’s manual:
the vehicle manufacturer may have specic precautions and
instructions about boosting your vehicle of which you should be
aware.
1.3 This equipment may not be used by children or by those who
cannot read and understand the manual. Store, use and charge
the Booster out of the reach of children and any unauthorised
people.
1.4 Use only in a well-ventilated area. Wear safety glasses and
gloves while boosting your vehicle.
1.5 Do not disassemble the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster.
Do not operate it if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped
or otherwise damaged in any way. Take it to a qualied

service professional if a service or repair is required. Incorrect
assembly may result in re or electric shock.
1.6 Do not place the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster on ammable
materials, such as carpeting, upholstery, paper, cardboard, etc.
1.7 Place the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster as far away from the
battery being boosted as the cables will permit.
1.8 Do not expose the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster to rain or snow.
1.9 Never place the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster directly above the
battery being boosted.
1.10 To prevent arcing, never allow the clamps to touch each other
or to contact the same piece of metal.
1.11 If someone else uses the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster,
ensure that they are well informed on how to use it safely, and
have read and understood the operating instructions.
1.12 The BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster is NOT designed to be
installed as a replacement for a vehicle battery.
1.13 Do not use for dry cell batteries that are commonly used with
home appliances.
1.14 Make sure that your vehicle is in 'neutral/park' and the
handbrake is engaged.
1.15 Turn off ALL electronics in your vehicle (air conditioner, heater,
radio, lights, chargers, etc.) when boosting the car.
1.16 Make sure that the key is in the 'OFF' position. For smart-
key fobs (push-to-start vehicles), ensure that the vehicle is
completely OFF before boosting.
2. PERSONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
2.1 Wear complete eye protection and protective clothing when
working near lead-acid batteries. Always have someone nearby
for help.
2.2 Have plenty of fresh water, soap and bicarbonate of soda close
by in case battery acid contacts your eyes, skin or clothing.
Wash immediately with soap and water and seek medical
attention.
2.3 If battery acid comes into contact with your eyes, ush them
immediately for a minimum of 10 minutes and get medical
attention.
2.4 Neutralise any acid spills thoroughly with bicarbonate of soda
before attempting to clean them up.

2.5 Remove all personal metal items from your body, such as
rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches. A battery can produce
a short circuit current high enough to weld a ring to metal,
causing a severe burn.
2.6 Never smoke or allow a spark or ame in the vicinity of the
battery or engine.

4. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
4.1. Pre-Charging:
The BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster must be pre-charged before it can be used to boost your
vehicle.
The 'Standard Mode' instructions will guide you on how to use your vehicle’s weak battery
to pre-charge the ultracapacitors inside the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster. If your vehicle’s
battery is completely at, or does not allow you to pre-charge the ultracapacitors inside
the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster, refer to section 4.3 'Override' mode in this manual.
The BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster can also be pre-charged onboard a vehicle with a
12 V battery with the DC cigarette-lighter cable provided or by using energy from the
lithium back-up battery pack, or by using a fully charged battery from another vehicle.

4.2. Standard Mode:
1. Connect the clamps to the battery terminals. The BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster
will automatically turn on. The digital display will show the voltage of the vehicle’s
battery.
2. Press ON/OFF, the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster will start to recharge the
ultracapacitors inside your booster. The digital display shows the charging
percentage of the ultracapacitors and the 'CHG%' indicator will start to blink.
3. When the digital display shows FUL or gets 100%, and the condition indicator is
steady green, turn on your vehicle's engine.
4.3. Override mode:
This mode is used when there is no battery mounted on your vehicle or when your
vehicle’s battery is completely at. Connect the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster as shown
below:
1. Press the ON/OFF switch for 2 seconds and then release it. The back-up lithium
battery will start to recharge the ultracapacitors inside your BBH12-1200 Hybrid
Booster.
2. After the digital display shows FUL or gets 100%, press the ON/OFF button for
2 seconds and then release it.
3. The 'Condition Indicator' will start blinking in green for 5 seconds.
4. After the 'Condition indicator' is steady green, the device emits a Bip, and
signal showing on the display, you have 30 seconds to turn the
engine on. Once the OVr display signal disappears, the Override mode will stop
automatically working.
