WARNING – To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or
serious personal injury:
• Read these instructons carefully before using this heating pad.
• This heating pad is only designed to warm up the human body. Do not use this product for any
other purpose.
• Keep children away from packaging materials (risk of suffocation).
• Never leave the heating pad unattended, especially when children are present.
• Do not tuck in the wired area of this heating pad.
• Do not route electrical cords between the mattress and box spring. Do not allow the cords to
be pinched.
• Keep the controller away from drafty areas that may become damp or wet such as an open window.
• Do not use this heating pad if you or the product is wet.
• Be sure that this heating pad is used on an alternating-current supply circuit of the proper voltage.
• Turn off or unplug when not in use.
• Do not tuck the heating pad or supply cord in a sofa or other furniture. All portions of the heating
pad or controller should be visible at all times.
• Do not trap or pinch the cord.
• Do not use in an oxygen-filled atmosphere.
• Place the unit on top of and not under the part of the body that requires heat treatment.
• Only use this product on a 110-120V AC circuit.
• Do not use with generators, power converters or inverters.
• Do not tamper with this product in any way. There are no user-serviceable parts. If for any reason
this product does not function properly, contact customer service.
• Do not use this product with liniment, salve or ointment preparations as skin burns can result.
• Do not use if the cord is damaged.
• Do not bend or pinch the cord.
• This heating pad has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a safety feature.
This plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
• Never pull this heating pad by the power cord. Do not use the cord as a handle. Unplug when
not in use.

• Do not use an electrical outlet that has become loose or does not engage the power plug tightly.
• Do not remove product labels that contain warnings or safety instructions.
• Consult with a physician for use with controlled substances.
• Burns can occur regardless of the control setting. Check skin under the heating pad frequently.
• Do not use with alcohol.
• IF IMPROPER OPERATION OF THIS HEATING PAD IS OBSERVED, DISCONTINUE ITS USE IMME-
DIATELY AND CONSULT THE MANUFACTURER OR THE DEALER REGARDING ITS REPAIR.
• Wrapping of cord around the controller may damage the cord. Loop loosely when storing.
• Do not use wringer. Do not dry-clean or bleach this heating pad. Cleaning or bleaching solvents
may have a deteriorating effect on the insulation of the heating element.
CAUTION – To reduce the risk of personal injury or
product/property damage:
• This product is intended solely for household use and not for medical or commercial purposes.
• Not for Hotel, Motel or other institutional use.
• Check this heating pad and cord frequently for signs of wear and tear or damage. If detected,
discontinue use and contact customer service.
NOTICE
• Do not place any objects on the heating pad when not in use.
• Protect the heating pad from knocks, damp, dust, chemicals, marked temperature fluctuations
and nearby sources of heat (ovens, heaters).
• Disconnect the cord from pad by squeezing the locking clips on the connector with one hand
and pulling the plug firmly with the other other hand. Do not pull by the cord.
• Machine wash pad in cold water on gentle cycle or hand wash. Tumble-dry on low heat or line
dry. Remove promtly from the dryer.
• The device should be cleaned on a regular basis. Do not use any abrasive cleaning products and
never submerge the heating pad in water.
2� Introduction
This heating pad was designed to keep you warm while lounging in the comfort of your home. Please read
all instructions carefully to ensure safe operation.

NOTICE
The heating pad is equipped with a safety system. The “high” indicator light will blink red when an error
occurs. If this happens, unplug the heating pad from the electrical outlet. Check the physical condition of the
cord, the wall outlet and the connection between the Control Connector and the Heating Pad Connector. If
blinking persists after you confirm a proper connection, contact Customer Service for assistance.
6� Initial Use
Attach the Heating pad Connector to the Control Connector. Push both parts together securely to ensure
a tight fit.

NOTICE
The Control Connector must be connected to the Heating pad Connector before plugging the unit into an
electrical outlet. After connecting the Heating pad Connector to the Control Connector, plug the unit into a
120V AC electrical outlet.

7� To Use
1. Attach the Power Cord to the Heating Pad Connector Socket on the pad and then plug the power cord
into a standard AC electrical outlet.
2. Place the heating pad on your body as desired.
CAUTION: Ensure that the heating pad does not bunch up or fold over during use.
3. Press the Power/Control Button on the Controller to activate the heating function; the green LED for
temperature setting “1” will illuminate. Press the Power/Control Button again to increase the tempera-
ture setting; repeat until the desired temperature setting is reached. The next corresponding Tempera-
ture Setting LED will illuminate. The green LED indicates the lowest Temperature Setting, the red LED
indicates the highest/hottest. The heating pad features the following temperature settings (LED colors):
ON / LOW: Green
WARM: Yellow
MEDIUM: Orange
HIGH: Red
4. To shut off the heating pad, continue pressing the Power/Control Button until all LEDs shut off.
NOTICE
If the unit does not turn on when you press the power button, make sure the Control Connector is securely
plugged into the Heating pad Connector.
WARNING
If the heating pad is being used over several hours, set the lowest temperature setting on the Battery
Pack to avoid overheating the heated body part, which may lead to burns to the skin.
AUTO-OFF FEATURE
Your heating pad is equipped with a special safety feature designed to shut the heating pad off after 120
minutes of use. When the automatic shut-off feature turns the pad off, the red auto-off LED on the controller
will start flashing to let you know the pad has shut off. Press the Power/Control Button to switch the heating
pad back on. Be sure to unplug the unit after use.
NOTICE
After a power outage, the heating pad automatically resets the timer on the auto-off feature.
8� Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING
• Prior to cleaning, always disconnect the Power Cord from the heating pad; otherwise there is a
risk of electric shock and/or product damage.
• Reconnect the heating pad to the Power Cord only after the heating pad and the connector
socket are completely dry.
CAUTION
• To prevent product damage, do not dry clean, bleach, wring out, or iron the product.
• Never immerse the controller in water or other liquids. It may otherwise be damaged.
• Do not use chemical cleaning or scouring agents to clean the heating pad and controller. The
heating pad and controller may otherwise be damaged.

To prolong the life of your heating pad, proper care and cleaning is essential. Follow these washing instructions
to preserve the softness of the fabric and protect the electrical components:
• Set controller to OFF.
• Disconnect power cord. DO NOT pull by the cord.
• Disconnect Control Connector from pad.
• To machine wash, set the washing machine to delicate or wool cycle and warm water setting.
Always wash the heating pad together with other items. Use a mild laundry detergent according to
the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Alternatively you can wash your heating pad by hand in lukewarm water.
• Let air dry or tumble dry the pad on medium heat for 5 minutes. Reshape the still damp heating pad
to the original size immediately after washing.
• Frequent washing of the heating pad is not recommended and should only be machine washed a
maximum of 10 times during its life. Let the heating pad dry flat on a drying rack. To prevent product
damage, do not use pegs or similar items to attach the heating pad to the drying rack.
• DO NOT plug back in pad until the pad and plug are completely dry.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth for controller cleaning and care.
• Prior to cleaning, always disconnect the Power Cord from the heating pad; otherwise there is a risk
of electric shock and/or product damage.
• Reconnect the heating pad to the Power Cord only after the heating pad and the connector socket
are completely dry.
9� Storage
CAUTION
If you do not plan to use the heating pad for a long period of time, store it in the original packaging in a cool,
dry place.
NOTICE
Allow the heating pad to cool down before storing. To avoid making sharp bends in the heating pad, do not
place any objects on top of it while storing.
10� Disposal
Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with local regulations.
If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal.
11� Troubleshooting Guide
Problem Solution
The heating pad won’t switch on,
the LEDs remain off. The Control Connector or Mains Plug is not properly connected to the Heating Pad Connector or power outlet. Check if the connectors
are properly connected and press the Power Button to turn on the
device.
The “high” LED flashes red. The heating pad was shut off by the safety system. Unplug the
device, check if the Control connector is plugged in properly. Plug in
the power cord and press the Power Button to turn on the device.
If the problem persists, please contact Customer Service for assistance.

14� Warranty
Limited Lifetime Warranty For Original Purchaser
Your Beurer Heating Pad, model HK 26, is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship
for the life of the product under normal conditions of intended use and service. This warranty extends only
to the original retail purchaser and does not extend to retailers or subsequent owners. We will, at our option,
repair or replace the Beurer Heating Pad, model HK 26, without additional charge, for any part or parts cov-
ered by these written warranties. No refunds will be given. Repair or replacement is our only responsibility

and your only remedy under this written warranty. If replacement parts for defective materials are not avail-
able, Beurer reserves the right to make product substitutions in lieu of repair or replacement. For warranty
service contact our customer service department at 1-800-536-0366 or at [e-mail] to provide a
description of the problem. If the problem is deemed to be within the scope of the limited lifetime warranty,
you will be asked to mail the product at your costs in its original package with proof of purchase, your name,
address and phone number. If the problem is not deemed to be within the scope of the limited lifetime war-
ranty, we will provide a quotation for repair respectively replacement and return shipping fee. This warranty
does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of unauthorized accessory;
alteration to the product; improper installation; misapplication; lack of reasonable care with respect to the
product; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; old worn batteries;
normal wear; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part as a result of
failure to comply with instructions for use or to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transit
damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is
at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond
the control of Beurer. This warranty is void if the product is ever used in a commercial or business environ-
ment. The maximum liability of Beurer under this warranty is limited to the purchase price actually paid by
the customer for the product covered by the warranty, as confirmed by proof of purchase, regardless of
the amount of any other direct or indirect damage suffered by the customer. This warranty is effective only
if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is purchased. A product that
requires modifications or adaptation to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which
it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modi-
fications is not covered under this warranty. THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE

Sistema de seguridad
AVISO
La almohadilla térmica está equipada con un sistema de seguridad. La luz del indicador “high” (alta)
parpadeará en rojo cuando haya un error. Si esto ocurre, desenchufe la almohadilla térmica de la toma de
corriente. Compruebe el estado físico del cable, de la toma de corriente y de la conexión entre el conector
de control y el conector de la almohadilla térmica. Si el parpadeo persiste después de haber confirmado que
la conexión es correcta, comuníquese con el servicio al cliente para solicitar ayuda.

6� Uso inicial
Conecte el conector de la almohadilla térmica al conector de control. Junte ambas partes con firmeza para
garantizar que queden ajustadas.

AVISO
El conector de control debe estar conectado al conector de la almohadilla térmica antes de enchufar la unidad
a la toma de corriente. Después de conectar el conector de la almohadilla térmica al de control, enchufe la
unidad a una toma de corriente de 120V de CA.
7� Uso
1. Conecte el cable de alimentación a la correspondiente entrada de conexión de la almohadilla térmica
y, a continuación, enchufe el cable de alimentación en una toma de corriente alterna.
2. Coloque la almohadilla térmica sobre la parte del cuerpo que desee.
PRECAUCIÓN: Asegúrese de que la almohadilla térmica no se enrolle ni se doble durante suuso.
3. Presione el botón de encendido/control del controlador para activar la función de calentamiento: se
iluminará el LED verde de ajuste de temperatura“1”. Vuelva a presionar el botón de encendido/control
para aumentar la temperatura. Repita este procedimiento hasta alcanzar la temperatura deseada. Se
iluminará el LED de ajuste de la temperatura correspondiente. El LED verde indica que se ha seleccio-
nado la temperatura mínima, mientras que el LED rojo indica que se ha seleccionado la máxima tem-
peratura. La almohadilla térmica permite los siguientes ajustes de la temperatura (colores de los LED):
ENCENDIDO/BAJA: Verde
TEMPLADA: Amarillo
MEDIA: Naranja
ALTA: Rojo
4. Para apagar la almohadilla térmica, siga presionando el botón de encendido/control hasta que se apa-
guen todos losLED.
AVISO
Si la unidad no se enciende al presionar el botón de encendido, asegúrese de que el conector de control
esté enchufado con firmeza al conector de la almohadilla térmica.
ADVERTENCIA
Si se va a usar la almohadilla térmica durante varias horas, ajuste la temperatura al nivel mínimo en la
batería para evitar el sobrecalentamiento de la parte del cuerpo en la que se aplique el calor, ya que
podrían producirse quemaduras en la piel.

FUNCIÓN DE APAGADO AUTOMÁTICO
Su almohadilla térmica está equipada con una función de seguridad especial diseñada para apagar la
almohadilla térmica después de 120minutos de uso. Cuando la función de apagado automático apague
la almohadilla, el indicador LED rojo de apagado automático del controlador empezará a parpadear para
indicarle que la almohadilla se ha apagado. Presione el botón de encendido/control para volver a encender
la almohadilla térmica. Asegúrese de desenchufar la unidad después de usarla.
AVISO
Después de un corte de energía, la almohadilla térmica reiniciará automáticamente el temporizador de la
función de apagado automático.
8� Limpieza y mantenimiento
ADVERTENCIA
• Antes de limpiar la almohadilla térmica, desconecte siempre el cable de alimentación. Si no lo
hace, podría producirse una descarga eléctrica o dañarse el producto.
• Antes de volver a conectar la almohadilla térmica al cable de alimentación, asegúrese de que
la almohadilla térmica y la entrada de conexión de la almohadilla estén completamente secas.
PRECAUCIÓN
• Para evitar que el producto se dañe, no lo lave en seco ni lo blanquee, lo exprima o lo planche.
• Nunca sumerja el controlador en agua ni en otros líquidos. De lo contrario, podría dañarse.
• No utilice productos químicos de limpieza ni productos abrasivos para limpiar la almohadilla tér-
mica y el controlador. De lo contrario, la almohadilla térmica y el controlador podrían dañarse.
Para prolongar la vida de su almohadilla térmica, son esenciales cuidados y limpieza adecuados. Siga estas
instrucciones de lavado para preservar la suavidad de la tela y proteger los componentes eléctricos:
• APAGUE el controlador.
• Desconecte el cable de alimentación. NO jale el cable.
• Desconecte el conector del controlador de la almohadilla.
• Para lavar a máquina, ponga la lavadora en el ciclo para prendas delicadas o de lana y utilice la con-
figuración de agua tibia. Lave siempre la almohadilla térmica con otras prendas. Utilice un detergente
suave para ropa de acuerdo con las instrucciones del fabricante.
• También puede lavar a mano la almohadilla térmica con agua tibia.
• Deje secando la almohadilla al aire libre o séquela en una secadora durante 5minutos a temperatura
media. Vuelva a dar forma a la almohadilla térmica húmeda para que recupere su tamaño original
inmediatamente después de lavarla.
• No se recomienda el lavado frecuente de la almohadilla térmica y esta solo se debe lavar a máquina
un máximo de 10veces durante toda su vida útil. Deje que la almohadilla térmica se seque exten-
dida sobre un tendedero. Para evitar que se dañe el producto, no utilice pinzas de la ropa ni objetos
similares para sujetar la almohadilla térmica al tendedero.
• NO vuelva a conectar el controlador a la almohadilla hasta que esta y la conexión estén totalmente
secas.
• Utilice un trapo seco y sin pelusa para la limpieza y cuidado del controlador.
• Antes de limpiar la almohadilla térmica, desconecte siempre el cable de alimentación. Si no lo hace,
podría producirse una descarga eléctrica o dañarse el producto.
• Antes de volver a conectar la almohadilla térmica al cable de alimentación, asegúrese de que la
almohadilla térmica y la entrada de conexión de la almohadilla estén completamente secas.

9� Almacenamiento
PRECAUCIÓN
Si no tiene planeado usar la almohadilla térmica durante un tiempo prolongado, guárdela en su empaque
original, en un lugar fresco y seco.
AVISO
Deje que la almohadilla térmica se enfríe antes de guardarla. Para evitar que se hagan dobleces pronunciadas
en la almohadilla térmica, no coloque ningún objeto encima de ella cuando la guarde.
10� Desecho
