BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION
Solar YardGard success takes time to build.
Pest habits may take several days or weeks to
break. Follow all suggestions for maximum
efficacy.
"Instant" tests on pets do not replicate natural
conditions and give no indication of the unit's
success with wild or visiting domesticated pests.
How it Works
The Solar Yard Gard Ultrasonic Repeller is easy to use.
Simply install 4 pcs (1.2V/pc) Rechargeable Battery
(4.8V) (included) - or 4 x AA( 1.5V ) Battery (6V) and
then place the unit in your garden, with an unobstructed
view of the area you want to protect. Two adjustable
buttons for distance and frequency target different types
and sizes of pest animals. The built-in motion sensor
detects the pest entering the area and emits a piercing,
high-decibel alarm that startles the pest and frightens it
away. Since the sound is ultrasonic, you and your
neighbors cannot hear it.
Unlike pest deterrents that operate continuously, the
Solar Yard Gard ultrasonic unit waits for the animal to
come into its range before activating, making the
function unpredictable and therefore more effective.
Specifications
This Ultrasonic Repeller automatic outdoor animal
deterrent is constructed of durable, weather-resistant
materials, and has been designed to provide many
years of reliable service.
•Infrared sensing angle (motion detector): 80
degrees.
•Detection range: 6-7 Meters, depending on body
size of animal. Larger animals are detected at
greater distances.
•Rechargeable Battery life: up to 2,000 activations
(10 per day = 200 days).
•Power supply: (included) 4 pcs (1.2V/pc) 2mA with
Rechargeable Non-Crystalline silicon battery（4.8 V）

•Static current: 200 uA; Running current: 150 mA
•Unit on time when activated: 4-6 seconds.

Features
Blue LED: indicates when the unit is activated.
Zinc stake: includes one stake for versatile mounting
(ground level, approximately 4" above ground).
Left button: adjusts sensitivity of motion sensor. Turn
clockwise for greater sensitivity. To detect small animals,
turn all the way to the right (furthest clockwise).
Right button: Ultrasonic frequency control.Clockwise
= higher frequency. The smaller the pest, typically the
higher frequency setting should be selected to target
them.
Animal type/setting:
SMALL ANIMALS: Insects, Rodents, Squirrels etc. -
Highest frequency
MEDIUM-SIZED ANIMALS: Raccoons, Possum, Cats,
Skunks, etc. - Middle range
LARGE ANIMALS: Deer, Feral pigs, Javelina, etc. -
Lowest frequency
To set up the Ultrasonic Repeller
1. Remove the battery cover (being careful not to
press on the lens or speaker). Install 4 pcs (1.2V/pc)
2mA with Rechargeable Non-Crystalline silicon battery
(4.8 V) or 4 AA (1.5V) Battery (DC6V). (NOTE: If
non-rechargeable batteries are used, the product will
still operate to deter pests but the solar charger will not
be able to recharge the batteries.)
2. Replace the battery cover. The Ultrasonic
Repeller is ready for operation. The light stays on for 2
seconds indicating that the unit has been triggered. (If
this light does not come on, replace the batteries.)
3. Position the Ultrasonic Repeller (for example, in the
flowerbed, or against the wall) pointed towards the area
that you want to protect.
4. Do not aim the product into neighboring yards
or public areas, or at caged or leashed animals.
Solar Yard Gard is intended for use on your own
property only.
5. To mount the Solar Yard Gard unit in the ground,
push the mounting stake into the soil and attach the
Ultrasonic Repeller.
6. To mount to a post or fence, secure with a nylon
zip-tie.

WHY CONTROL PESTS?
•Droppings are unsightly, unhealthy, and potentially
fatal.
•Droppings cost money and time. "Cleaning up"
represents costs unrecoverable by revenues.
•Pests are destructive and deface property.
•USDA, OSHA, health boards and other
organizations can cite, fine or shut down companies
for pest mess problems.
PEST MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
A. Survey the pests and their entry, exit and feeding
habits.
B. Inspect your property. Discover what the pests find
attractive about your area, and if the same conditions
prevail in neighboring properties.
C. Remove inducements. Clean the area of all
evidence of pests and the residual scent. Because
pests and their droppings can cause many diseases,
use extreme caution when removing them. Do not
breathe or come into direct contact with them. If you
have questions about how to do this safely, consult an
expert. Remove food spillage, garbage, nesting material
and other appealing items.
D. Maintain a clean and changing environment. For
maximum effectiveness, periodically repeat C) above
and relocate or reposition the unit, vary the output, or
turn it off for a short time.
E. Install early. It is always best to install the Solar
Yard Gard before "pest season" begins, as it is easier to
discourage them than to rout them out once they have
already established a pattern.
F. Use products synergistically. Two or more different
kinds of devices (Solar Yard Gard plus netting and/or a
taste or smell aversion) will produce a synergistic effect
- i.e., in combination, the products will yield much
greater effectiveness than any single product alone.

G. Consider alternate locations. Make educated
guesses as to where the pests will go when they leave
their current infestation area, and consider purchasing
units to cover these areas as well.
MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY
The YardGard is warrantied against defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of six months from the shipping date.
At the option of Bird-X, Inc., we will either replace or repair the
defective unit. Prior authorization and a returned goods
authorization (RGA) number will be necessary from Bird-X,
Inc.

SYNERGY AND OTHER PRODUCTS
For best results, Bird-X, Inc. always recommends that
the Solar Yard Gard be used in conjunction with one or
more other products. The combination of different
types of control methods has proven to maximize the
effectiveness of pest animal control programs.

Cómo Funciona
El repelente Solar Yard Gard Ultrasónico es fácil de

Funciones
LED Azul: indica cuando se activa la unidad.
Juego Zinc: incluye un juego para montaje versátil

Botón izquierdo: ajusta la sensibilidad del sensor de
movimiento. Girar hacia la derecha para una mayor
sensibilidad. Para detectar a los animales pequeños,

Hacia la derecha = frecuencia más alta. Cuanto
menor sea el de plagas, normalmente el ajuste de
frecuencia más alta se debe seleccionar al dirigirse a
ellos.
Tipo de animal / ajuste:
ANIMALES PEQUEÑOS: Insectos, roedores,
ardillas, etc. - Alta frecuencia
ANIMALES MEDIANOS: Mapaches, Possum, gatos,
zorrillos, etc. - gama media
ANIMALES GRANDES: Ciervos, cerdos salvajes,
Javelina, etc. - la frecuencia más baja
Para configurar el repelente ultrasónico
1. Retirar la tapa de la batería (con cuidado para no
presionar la lente u orador). 4 piezas (1.2V / pc) 2mA
con batería recargable no cristalinas de silicio (4,8 V) o
4 "AA" (1.5V) Batería (DC6V) (NOTA: Si se utilizan
baterías no recargables, el producto aún funcionará
para disuadir a las plagas, pero el cargador solar no
será capaz de recargar las pilas.)
2. Volver a colocar la tapa de la batería. El repelente
ultrasónico está listo para funcionar. La luz azul
permanece encendida durante 2 segundos, indicando
que la unidad se ha desencadenado. (Si esta luz no se
enciende, reemplazar las baterías.)
3. Colocar el repelente ultrasónico (por ejemplo, en
el macizo de flores o en contra de la pared) apuntando
hacia el área que desea proteger.
4. No dirigir el producto en jardines vecinos o en
áreas públicas o en animales enjaulados o atados.
Solar Yard Gard es para uso exclusivo en su
propiedad.
5. Si el montaje de la unidad se realiza en el suelo,
empujar el juego de montaje en el suelo y colocar el
repelente ultrasónico.
6. Para montar a un poste o una cerca, asegure con
una abrazadera plástica de nylon.

PRESENTACIÓN

¿POR QUÉ CONTROLAR A LOS ANIMALES PESTIFEROS?
•Los excrementos de animales son desagradables, insalubres,
y potencialmente fatales.
•Los excrementos de animales cuestan dinero y tiempo. “Tener
que limpiar” representa una pérdida de ingresos
no-recuperables.
•Los animales pestíferos son destructivos y daña su propiedad.
•La USDA, OSHA, Sanidad u otras organizaciones pueden
citar, multar o clausurar negocios por tener problemas de
animales pestíferos.
PROGRAMA DE CONTROL DE ANIMALES PESTIFEROS
A. Investigue los animales pestíferos y sus hábitos de entrada,
salida y alimentación.
B. Inspeccione su propiedad. Descubra qué es lo que atrae a los
animales a su propiedad, y si las mismas condiciones existen en
propiedades cercanas.
C. Elimine desperdicios de comida, basura, material para hacer
nidos, u otras cosas atractivas para los animales. Limpie el área de
toda evidencia de los animales pestíferos y cualquier olor restante.
Porque los animales y su excremento pueden causar una variedad
de enfermedades, use cuidado cuando las esté eliminando. No las
aspire o toque directamente con estos excrementos. Sitiene alguna
pregunta de como hacer esto sin correr algún riesgo, consulte un
experto.
D. Mantenga un ambiente limpio y constantemente cambiando.
Para mayor eficacia, de vez en cuando repita C) arriba y coloque el
aparato en un nuevo lugar, varíe la potencia o apague el aparato
por un breve periodo.
E. Instale con tiempo. Es mejor que instale YardGard antes de
que empiece la temporada de animales pestíferos ya que asi será
más fácil desanimar a los animales que sacarlos una vez que
hayan establecido un patrón.
F. Use los productos sinérgicamente; es decir, en combinación
con otros productos. Dos o más diferentes tipos de productos
(YardGard más trampas y/o un producto que produce aversión por
gusto o olfato) van a producir un efecto sinérgico, es decir, en
combinación, y los productos serán mas eficaces que usando
solamente YardGard. Comuníquese con Bird-X, Inc. para más
información sobre productos complementarios.
G. Considere áreas alternativas. Use su criterio hacía dónde los
animales pestíferos se irán cuando salguen de la área de
infestación y considere la compra de aparatos que cubrirán estas
áreas también.
GARANTIA DEL FABRICANTE
El YardGard está garantizado contra todo defecto de material y obra
de mano por un periodo de seis meses de la fecha de envío. A
discreción de Bird-X,Inc., se reemplazará o reparará el aparato
