ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
DAKOTA BUNK BED
IMPORTANT: READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE ASSEMBLING OR USING YOUR
DAKOTA BUNK BED FRAME.
PLEASE KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
HEALTH & SAFETY:
DO NOT jump on this bed frame
This bed has not been designed or constructed as play equipment
DO NOT use this bed frame if any parts are missing, damaged or worn
DO NOT use this bed frame unless all fixings are secured
Always use on a level, even surface
e aware of the danger of young children (under 6) falling from the upper bunk. It is not advisable for
children under the age of 6 to sleep on the top bunk
Always use the guard rails on both long sides of the upper bunk
CAUTION: There is the risk of stran ulation to children from items such as strin , ropes, cords, harnesses and
belts han in from the bed frame.
WARNING: Children can become trapped between the bed and the wall. To avoid risk of serious injuries the
ap between the top rail and the wall should not exceed 75 mm, or it should be more than 230 mm.
WARNING: If this bed is placed on a laminated floor you must place some protection under all le s to stop the
bed frame from movin . If this is not adhered to there is no uarantee if the bed frame collapses.
CARE & MAINTENANCE:
Periodically check all screws & fixings to ensure they are secure
DO NOT push the bed frame as this will damage the legs
Always lift the bed with two people to reposition
Keep any sharp objects away from the frame
Recommended maximum mattress height for top bunk is 160 mm

Step 1: Assemble the upper bunk end frames using hardware parts A, D and H..
DO NOT use any power tools as this may dama e the frame and will invalidate any claim.

Step 2: Attach the back upper guardrails (5), front upper guardrails (4), upper siderail (7) and upper siderail
(8) to the assembled end frames using hardware parts A, D and E. Attach the guardrail spindles (7) using
hardware part J.
DO NOT use any power tools as this may dama e the frame and will invalidate any claim.
Step 3: Assemble the lower bunk end frames using hardware parts
DO NOT use any power tools as this may dama e the frame and will invalidate any claim.

Step 4: Attach the lower siderail (9) and lower siderail (10) using hardware parts A, C and D.
DO NOT use any power tools as this may dama e the frame and will invalidate any claim.
Step 5: Secure the slats (13) in position on both bunks using hardware parts and F with a screwdriver) not
provided).

Step 6: Assemble the ladder rails (12) and ladder steps (13) using hardware part .
DO NOT use any power tools as this may dama e the frame and will invalidate any claim.
Step 7: Connect the bunks together using hardware parts and E.
DO NOT use any power tools as this may dama e the frame and will invalidate any claim.

Step 8: Attach the ladder using hardware part J.
DO NOT use any power tools as this may dama e the frame and will invalidate any claim.
Optional use as separate twin beds: Insert hardware part I into the tops of the lower end frames. Use the
lower end frames as the headboard, and the upper end frames as the footboard.
