RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE STATEMENTS
This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy
and if not installed and used properly, that is, in strict accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions, may cause interference to radio communication.
It has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A
computing device in accordance with the specifications in Subpart J of Part 15
of FCC rules, which are designed to provide reasonable protection against
such interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial

INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
1. Todas las instrucciones de seguridad y operación deberán ser leídas antes
de que el aparato eléctrico sea operado.
2. Las instrucciones de seguridad y operación deberán ser guardadas para
referencia futura.
3. Todas las advertencias en el aparato eléctrico y en sus instrucciones de
operación deben ser respetadas.
4. Todas las instrucciones de operación y uso deben ser seguidas.
5. El aparato eléctrico no deberá ser usado cerca del agua—por ejemplo,
cerca de la tina de baño, lavabo, sótano mojado o cerca de una alberca,
etc..
6. El aparato eléctrico debe ser usado únicamente con carritos o pedestales

11. El aparato eléctrico deberá ser connectado a una fuente de poder sólo

CHAPTER 2: Introduction
2. Introduction
With the 2-Channel VGA Booster, you can view the output of a VGA adapter
on 1 or 2 monitors simultaneously. You can place each monitor up to
700 feet (213 m) away from the Booster, depending on the operating mode.
The Booster package contains the following:
• (1) 2-Channel VGA Booster
• (1) 9-VDC power supply
• (1) 6-ft. (1.8-m) male-to-male VGA input cable
• This users’ manual
You may also order optional monitor extension cables, specially designed
for use with this product.

3. Installation
3.1 The Installation Procedure
Follow these steps to install your 2-Channel VGA Booster.
1.Place the Booster within 6 ft. (1.8 m) of the computer.
2.Connect the 6-ft. VGA input cable (included) from the VGA output
of the computer to the connector marked “VGA.”
3.Connect the VGA compatible monitor(s) to the connector(s) marked
“Output” on the rear of the Booster. You may use monitor extension
cables to extend the distance up to 700 feet (213.4 m) as shown in
Table 3-1.
4.Plug the 9-VDC wall power transformer (included) into the jack on the
rear of the Booster.
5.Plug the power transformer into an AC wall outlet. When the unit is
properly powered, the front-panel LED will glow red.
6.Turn on the computer and the monitor(s). The monitor(s) will display
the computer’s output.
7.Use the front-panel knobs to adjust the gain and peaking of the Booster’s
amplifiers to compensate for the long extension cable. The knobs have 6
positions from SHORT to LONG and correspond to cable lengths for
standard VGA (up to 480 lines), or Super VGA (up to 768 lines), as shown
in Table 3-1.
