Thank you for purchasing this quality product. Please carefully read through this manual before first
using the device, paying particular attention to the safety warnings. You can find information on how
to contact support at the end of these operating instructions.

Warnings:
1. Please read the manual before operating the machine .
2. Keep all loose articles of clothing, ties , jewellery , hair or other small items away from
the feed opening to prevent injury.
3. Keep in the OFF position when the shredder is not in use for prolonged periods of time.
4. Do not place hands or fingers into the shredder throat as serious injury could result.
5. Always turn off or unplug the shredder prior to moving, cleaning or emptying the wastebasket.
6. Empty waste basket frequently. Otherwise the shredder may jam.
7. The document shredder must always be deactivated and disconnected from the electrical line prior to moving,
transporting and cleaning the device and prior to emptying the waste basket.
8. Please do not leave the document shredder unattended e.g. in the event children or pets are nearby.
9. The device may not be operated with a damaged power cord.
10. For indoor use only.
11. This machine is no toy. Keep it away from children and pets.
12. To protect the machine well, we suggest the user to operate it in this way: work 5 minutes then rest 45 mins.
13. Clean the drip trays and paper cutter with a slightly dampened cloth and possibly with a mild detergent.
Do not spray directly into the feed slot to avoid damages .
14. Statement indicating that the socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily
accessible.

Installation
①Take out the shredder head and wastebasket from the packaging box.
②Place the shredder head on the wastebasket with aligning each joint, then assemble the two parts well.

Placing the shredder
1. Place the device on a smooth flat surface.
2. Ensure the device is positioned at a distance from heaters and other sources of heat.
3. Where possible, avoid using extension cables or multi-way sockets. It is advisable to connect the device
directly to the wall socket using the power cable (in accordance with the technical specifications).
4. Plug the power cable into a standard 120-volt AC outlet.
Operating the shredder
A slide switch is on the top of the device and can be set in three (3) positions.
1. AUTO: when the device is connected to power, and the main switch on the back of the machine is on, the
power light will be blue. The cutting process is automatically initiated as soon as paper or credit card is
inserted into the corresponding feed slot. Please do not insert any credit cards into the feed slot while
shredding paper since the device is incapable of shredding of paper at the same time as credit cards. Once
the chosen material has fully passed through the cutting unit, the cutting process will stop automatically.
2. REV is used to fix paper blockages. This changes the cutting direction before an operating cycle has ended
enabling the blades to be released. If you realise that you have unintentionally inserted too much paper, and
the shredding process becomes noticeably slower, set the switch to this position to remove excess paper.
3. The switch should be set to OFF if you wish to empty the paper basket, or do not intend to use the device for
an extended period. After doing so, unplug the device from the power supply.
The device is only intended for indoor use and for an intermittent operation period of a maximum
of 5 minutes. Do not use the shredder for commercial purposes or outdoors.
Shredder capacity
The C220-A is capable of shredding up to 12 sheets of paper (DIN A4, 75g/m²) into cross cut at once. Paper width
may not exceed 220mm. When shredding small pieces of paper, such as envelopes or credit card receipts, the
paper should be inserted in the middle of the slot. Please ensure that you never insert more than the stated
maximum quantity into the cutting unit as this may damage the device.
The C220-B is capable of shredding up to 10 sheets of paper (DIN A4, 75g/m²) into micro cut at once. Paper
width may not exceed 220mm. When shredding small pieces of paper, such as envelopes or credit card receipts,
the paper should be inserted in the middle of the slot. Please ensure that you never insert more than the stated
maximum quantity into the cutting unit as this may damage the device.
Start operating
After connecting power, turn on the main switch, slide the switch on the top housing to “AUTO”, the device will
then be ready to use.
Shredding paper
Insert several sheets of paper (75g/m²) in portrait orientation into the feed slot. The paper will be detected by the
sensors, the cutting unit will start and the paper will be automatically drawn in. The operation will finish once there
is no more paper in the cutting unit.
Shredding Credit Card
Insert the card into the top center of the feed opening. You can only cut up one credit card at a single pass.

Overloading
If you insert too much paper over the maximum shred capacity of the shredder, the indication light will be red
flashing, and the cutting unit will stop rotating. In this event, set the switch to “REV” to remove the paper. Reduce
the number of sheets and try again.
Overheating
If the shredder working continuously with exceeding the indicated maximum operating time of 5 minutes, there is
a possibility of the motor overheating. In this event, the indication light will be red, the cutting unit will stop. You
should therefore set the switch to the “OFF” position and let the device cool down for about 45 minutes. The
device will be automatically disconnected from the power and will restart on its own once the motor has cooled
down sufficiently.
Turning off
Set the switch to “OFF” to turn the device off entirely once you finish shredding. The power light will be off.
Troubleshooting
Shredder will not operate
1. Make sure the device is plugged into power source and the main power switch is switched on.
2. Make sure the wastebasket is fully inserted into the shredder housing.
Paper jam
1. Switch to REV position and clear the jam
2. Switch to AUTO position to continue shredding.
CAUTION: Sharp cutter blades. Do not reach underneath the shredder head to remove jammed paper. Serious
injury can result.
This unit is equipped with anti-jam technology. The light will turn red indicating that the maximum sheet capacity
has been exceeded. Reduce the number of sheets and place less paper into the feed slot.
Shredder stops while shredding
1. Shredder may have reached maximum duty cycle. If the overheating light is turning flash red, please turn off
the device and leave it to cool down about 45 minutes. Then it will return to normal operation.
2. Shredder may be overloaded. If the overloading light keeps flashing red, please slide the switch to REV and
pull out the paper. Reduce the number of sheets and try again.
3. The wastebasket is possible full. Please empty it and place it back to the device properly, then try shredding
again.
Cutter Oiling Instructions
To ensure proper operation and function, periodic oiling of the cutting unit is required. Failure to oil your cutting
unit could result in reduced sheet capacity performance, excess noise, paper jams and possibly machine failure.
Oil your cutters every 5th or 6th time you empty the basket if excess squeaking and rubbing noise is coming from
the machine or if the shredders sheet capacity has diminished. Squeeze the lubricant across the full width of the
cutters or shred one piece of lubricant sheet accordingly. Then push the switch to AUTO position and insert paper
to activate the cutting unit forward for 3 seconds, then to REV for 3 seconds again. Alternate between AUTO and
REV at least three times or until all paper scraps are cleared out.

Notice
Never use flammable synthetic oil, petroleum based or aerosol lubricants to oil your cutting unit. Use only a
vegetable oil-based lubricant in a non-aerosol container.

appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery. Please retain your
