This Bose
®
loudspeaker system is engineered
to provide high-quality sound for permanent
installations. The system includes 502
®
A
speaker arrays and a 502B Acoustimass
®
enclosure. This innovative system delivers even
coverage of all frequencies. Its compact size
makes it well-suited for venues where aes-
thetics and audience sight lines are important,
such as houses of worship, auditoriums, the-
aters, airports, gymnasiums and mall atriums.
Smooth sound and controlled coverage.
The foundation of the system is the compact
502A mid-high frequency speaker array.
Behind each grille are five 4.5-inch full-range
drivers in a patented array. This allows for more
controlled horizontal and vertical coverage
patterns, making the 502A an excellent choice
for speech and light music applications.
Extended bass performance.
For installations that require additional bass
extension, the 502B enclosure enables the
system to deliver low-frequency
response down to 55Hz. Using
Bose exclusive Acoustimass speaker
technology, low-frequency sound is
launched on two air masses, acousti-
cally filtering out audible distortion.
As a result, the low-frequency sound
is non-localizable so the enclosure
can be placed where it is most con-
venient – even hidden out of sight.
Sleek, elegant design.
The compact size of the 502A speaker arrays
greatly reduces interference with de´cor or sight
lines. And the hideaway 502B makes the sys-
tem even more unobtrusive. Additionally,
both the 502A speaker arrays and the 502B
Acoustimass enclosure can be painted to blend
in with nearly any environment.
