The programming of the Matic is divided in two
levels:
1. Quantity of water (included in the user
instructions)
2. Other options
WARNING

P1 Adjusting the quantity of water (per cup)
You can adjust the quantity of hot water used to
brew the coffee. This is set to a standard amount
when the machine leaves the factory. If you think the
factory setting is supplying too much or too little wa-
ter, you can change the amount as follows:
1. Press the and the 1/0keys at the same time
and keep them pressed in until P1 appears in
the display (after about 10 seconds).
2. Release the keys. The display will now show the
setting for the current quantity of water. This
quantity varies from machine to machine, see
table 1 .
3. Press the key for more water or the 1/0key for
less.
4. The settings available range from 0, 2, 4, 6... to
98. Two steps higher will give you 3 to 5 ml.

Access level 2
Go to level 1 (press both keys and 1/0keys at the
same time for about 10 seconds) and after that
press both keys and 1/0keys again about 10
second until P2 appears in the display.
P2 Maximum number of cups
The maximum number of cups the machine brews
can be adjusted here, Matic 12 and THa 16.
When smaller or larger cups are used, another
quantity can be selected. Adjust with the and 1/0
keys, minimum 2 and maximum 30. Don’t forget to
readjust P1 (water quantity per cup).

P3 Number of cups default on display
The Matic has default 12 cups on the display (THa
16). With the keys and 1/0, you can select the
number of cups which will be shown as default on
the display.

P4 Masking Quantities
It is possible to mask certain quantities so that they
can not be selected.
All quantities from 2 can be selected as follows:
Dmask =  key
Dshow = 1/0key
The quantities will be showed one by one on the
display.

P5 Drip time
When the brewing of the hot water in the filter has
stopped, the filter needs time to empty. This time
can be adjusted.
Longer or shorter 2 = 20 sec., 5 = 50 sec. etc.
(range 1 –20).
