Gebrauchsanleitung
Wir freuen uns, dass unser BABY-SAFE Belted
Base Ihr Kind sicher durch die ersten Monate
seines Lebens begleiten darf.
Um Ihr Baby richtig schützen zu können, muss
das BABY-SAFE Belted Base unbedingt so
verwendet und eingebaut werden, wie wir es
Ihnen in dieser Anleitung beschreiben.
Wenn Sie noch Fragen zur Benutzung haben,

User instructions
We are pleased that our BABY-SAFE Belted Base
may accompany your child safely through the first
months of his or her life.
In order to protect your baby correctly, the
BABY-SAFE Belted Base must always be used
and installed as described in these instructions.
If you have any further questions regarding its use,

Das BABY-SAFE Belted Base ist in Kombination
mit dem BABY-SAFE plus (mit Raststangen X) und
dem BABY-SAFE plus SHR geprüft und
zugelassen.

Symbol gekennzeichent.
Vorsicht! Keines der beiden Teile darf in
Verbindung mit anderen Adaptern oder
Babyschalen verwendet werden.

1. Suitability
The BABY-SAFE Belted Base has been tested
and certified in combination with the BABY-SAFE
plus (with shock bars X) and the BABY-SAFE plus
SHR.
These baby seats are marked with the
ISOFIX symbol.
Caution! Neither of these two parts may be used in
combination with other adapters or baby seats.

1. Habilitation
Le BABY-SAFE Belted Base est examiné et
homologué en association avec le BABY-SAFE
plus (avec tiges d'ancrage X) et le BABY-SAFE
plus SHR.
Ces coques pour bébés portent le
symbole ISOFIX.
Attention ! Aucun de ces deux éléments ne doit
être utilisé en association avec d'autres
adaptateurs ou d'autres coques pour bébé.

• Der Auto-Kindersitz ist ausgelegt, geprüft und
zugelassen entsprechend den Anforderungen
der europäischen Norm für Kindersicherheits-
Einrichtungen (ECE R 44/04).
Das Prüfzeichen E (in einem Kreis) und die
Zulassungsnummer befinden sich auf dem
Zulassungsetikett (Aufkleber am Auto-
Kindersitz).
• Die Zulassung erlischt, sobald Sie am Auto-
Kindersitz etwas verändern. Änderungen darf
ausschließlich der Hersteller vornehmen.
2. Verwendung im Fahrzeug
Gefahr! Ein auf die Babyschale auftreffender
Airbag kann Ihr Kind sehr schwer verletzen oder
sogar töten.
Nicht auf Beifahrersitzen mit Front-
Airbag verwenden! 3)
Bitte beachten Sie hierzu die Hinweise zur
Benutzung von Auto-Kindersitzen in Ihrem
Fahrzeug-Handbuch.

• The child safety seat has been designed, tested
and certified according to the requirements of the
European Standard for Child Safety Equipment
(ECE R 44/04).
The seal of approval E (in a circle) and the
approval number are located on the approval
label (sticker on the child safety seat).
• This approval will be invalidated if you make any
modifications to the child safety seat. Only the
manufacturer is permitted to make modifications
to the child safety seat.
2. Use in the vehicle
Danger! An airbag hitting the infant carrier can
cause serious injuries to your child, possibly
resulting in death.
DO NOT use on a passenger seat with a
front airbag! 3)
Please observe the instructions in your vehicle
manual for the use of child seats.
• Le siège auto est conçu, contrôlé et homologué
conformément aux exigences de la norme
européenne pour les équipements de sécurité
pour enfants (ECE R 44/04).
Le signe de contrôle E (dans un cercle) et le
numéro d’homologation se trouvent sur
l’étiquette d’homologation (autocollant sur le
siège auto).
• Le siège auto perd son homologation dès que
vous réalisez des modifications. Toute
modification doit exclusivement être réalisée par
le fabricant.
2. Utilisation dans le véhicule
Danger ! Un airbag heurtant la coque risque de
blesser gravement votre enfant ou même de le tuer.
Ne pas utiliser sur les sièges passager à
airbag frontal ! 3)
Veuillez consulter à ce sujet les indications
d’utilisation des sièges auto pour enfants figurant
dans le manuel d’utilisation de votre véhicule.

universale Genehmigung. Der Sitz darf nur in den
Fahrzeugen verwendet werden, die in der
beigelegeten Kfz-Typenliste aufgeführt sind. Die
Typenliste wird laufend ergänzt. Die aktuellste
Version erhalten Sie direkt bei uns oder auf
www.britax.eu / www.roemer.eu.

Fastening with the BABY-SAFE Belted
Base is based on semi-universal
approval. The seat may be used only in those
vehicles cited in the enclosed vehicle type list. This
list is constantly updated. The latest version can be
obtained from us or from www.britax.eu /
www.roemer.eu.
You can use your child car seat as follows:

1) Die Verwendung eines 2-Punkt-Gurtes erhöht das
Verletzungsrisiko Ihres Kindes bei einem Unfall erheblich.
2) Der Gurt muss nach ECE R 16 (oder vergleichbarer Norm)
genehmigt sein z.B. erkennbar am umrandeten "E", "e" auf dem
Prüfetikett am Gurt.
3) Nicht auf Beifahrersitzen mit Front-Airbag verwenden!
4) Verwendung ist möglich, wenn ein 3-Punkt-Gurt vorhanden
ist.
3. Einbau im Fahrzeug
Zum Schutz Ihres Babys
• Bitte lassen Sie Ihr Kind im Auto-Kindersitz nie
unbeaufsichtigt im Fahrzeug zurück.
• Stellen Sie keine Gegenstände in den Fußraum
vor den Adapter.

1) The use of a 2-point belt substantially increases the risk of
injury to your child in the event of an accident.
2) The safety belt must be approved to ECE R 16 or a
comparable standard (see test label on belt with an "E" or "e" in
a circle).
3) Do not use on passenger seats with a front airbag!
4) Can be used if the vehicle seat is equipped with a 3-point belt.
3. Installation in the vehicle
For the protection of your baby
• Please do not leave your child unattended in the
child safety seat in the vehicle.
• Do not place any objects in the footwell in front of
your adapter.
1) L’utilisation d’une ceinture à 2 points augmente
considérablement le risque de blessure pour votre enfant en cas
d’accident.
2) La ceinture doit être homologuée selon ECE R 16 (ou une
norme comparable) ce qui est par exemple signalé par la lettre «
E », « e » insérée dans un cercle et figurant sur l’étiquette de
contrôle.
3) Ne pas utiliser sur les sièges passager à airbag frontal !
4) Utilisation possible lorsqu’il existe une ceinture à 3 points.
3. Montage dans le véhicule
Pour protéger votre bébé
• Ne laissez pas votre enfant dans le siège auto
dans la voiture sans surveillance.
• Ne déposez pas d'objets dans l'espace au sol
devant l'adaptateur.

Zum Schutz aller Fahrzeuginsassen
Bei einer Notbremsung oder einem Unfall können
ungesicherte Gegenstände und Personen andere
Mitfahrer verletzen. Bitte achten Sie deshalb stets
darauf, dass...
• die Rückenlehnen der Fahrzeugsitze festgestellt
sind (z.B. umklappbare Rücksitzbank einrasten).
• im Fahrzeug (z.B. auf der Hutablage) alle
schweren oder scharfkantigen Gegenstände
gesichert sind.
• alle Personen im Fahrzeug angeschnallt sind.
• der Auto-Kindersitz im Auto immer gesichert ist,
auch wenn kein Kind transportiert wird.
Zum Schutz Ihres Fahrzeuges
• An einigen Auto-Sitzbezügen aus empfindlichem
Material (z.B. Velours, Leder etc.) können durch
die Benutzung von Auto-Kindersitzen
Gebrauchsspuren auftreten. Um das zu
vermeiden, können Sie z.B. eine Decke oder ein
Handtuch unterlegen.
Vorsicht! Die Unterlage darf den Kindersitz nicht
von der Sitzfläche abheben.

For the protection of all vehicle
occupants
In the case of an emergency stop or an accident
unsecured persons or objects may cause injury to
other vehicle occupants. Please always check
that...
• The backrests of the vehicle seats are locked
(i.e. that a foldable rear seat bench latch is
engaged).
• All heavy or sharp-edged objects in the vehicle
(e.g. on the parcel shelf) are secured.
• All persons in the vehicle have their seat belts
fastened.
• the child safety seat is always secured when it is
in the vehicle, even if no child is being
transported.
To protect your vehicle
• Some vehicle seat covers of sensitive materials
(e.g. velour, leather, etc.) may develop wear
marks when child seats are used. This can be
avoided by placing a blanket or towel under the
child seat.
Caution! The base must not raise the child seat
from the seat surface.
Pour protéger tous les passagers
En cas de freinage d'urgence ou d'accident, les
objets et personnes non attachés risquent de
blesser d'autres passagers. Veuillez donc toujours
veiller à ce que…
• les dossiers des sièges de voiture soient
verrouillés (enclenchez par exemple la
banquette arrière rabattable),
• tous les objets lourds ou à bords tranchants (par
exemple sur la lunette arrière) soient bien fixés,
• toutes les personnes aient mis leur ceinture,
• le siège auto soit toujours fixé dans la voiture
même si aucun enfant ne l’occupe.
Pour protéger votre véhicule
• Sur certaines housses de siège de véhicule
recouvertes d’une matière délicate (p. ex.
velours, cuir, etc.), l’utilisation de sièges auto
risque de laisser des traces. Pour éviter cela,
vous pouvez recouvrir le siège du véhicule d'une
couverture ou une serviette, par exemple.
Attention ! Dans ce cas, le siège enfant ne doit
pas être surélevé par rapport à la surface
d'assise.

ÞKlappen Sie das Stützbein 36 aus.
ÞStellen Sie den Adapter 33 auf den Autositz.
ÞKlappen Sie den Dämpfungsbügel 35 des
Adapters 33 ganz nach oben.
ÞSchieben Sie den Dämpfungsbügel 35 nach
unten, bis er unten in den Rohren einrastet.
„KLICK!“
ÞGreifen Sie den hellgrauen Griff der
Spannklappe 37.
ÞDrücken Sie einen der beiden hellgrauen
Sicherungshaken 39 nach hinten, bis die
Spannklappe 37 aushakt.
ÞÖffnen Sie die Spannklappe 37.

3.1 Fastening the baby seat

BABY-SAFE Belted Base
ÞUnfold the support leg 36.
ÞPlace the adapter 33 on the vehicle seat.
ÞFold the shock bar 35 on the adapter 33 up as
far as it will go.
ÞPush down the shock bar 35 until it engages in
the tubes. "CLICK!"
ÞGrasp the light grey handle of the clamping flap
37.
ÞPush back one of the two light grey safety hooks
39 until the clamping flap 37 unhooks.
ÞOpen the clamping flap 37.
3.1 Fixation de la coque pour

ÞZiehen Sie kräftig am Diagonalgurt 12, um den
Beckengurt 10 zu straffen.
Drücken Sie dabei den Adapter 33 auf die
Sitzfläche und gegen die Rückenlehne des
Fahrzeugsitzes.
ÞHalten Sie den Diagonalgurt 12 gestrafft.

Fitting the vehicle seat belt
ÞGuide the vehicle seat belt across the
adapter 33.
ÞEngage the buckle tongue in the vehicle seat
buckle 9.
ÞInsert the lap belt section 10 into the two light
blue belt guides 34.
Guide the lap belt section 10 behind the
clamping flap 37.
ÞPull firmly on the diagonal seat belt section 12 to
tension the lap belt section 10.
At the same time, push the adapter 33 onto the
seat surface and against the backrest of the
vehicle seat.
ÞKeep the diagonal belt section 12 tensioned.
Mise en place de la ceinture du

ÞEnclenchez la languette dans le fermoir de la

ÞMaintenez la ceinture diagonale 12 tendue.

ÞLegen Sie nun auch den Diagonalgurt 12 in die
beiden hellblauen Gurtführungen 34 ein.
Der Diagonalgurt 12 liegt jetzt auf dem
Beckengurt 10.
Vorsicht! Gurte nicht verdrehen.
Spannen des Autogurtes
ÞZiehen Sie am Diagonalgurt 12 um den
ganzen Autogurt zu straffen.
ÞHalten Sie den Autogurt gestrafft.
ÞGreifen Sie den hellgrauen Griff der
Spannklappe 37.
ÞDrücken Sie die Spannklappe 37 nach unten, bis
sie in beiden Sicherungshaken 39 einhakt.
„KLICK!“

ÞNow insert the diagonal belt section 12 into the
two light blue belt guides 34.
The diagonal belt section 12 is now positioned
on the lap belt section 10.
Caution! Do not twist the belts.
Tensioning the vehicle seat belt
ÞPull on the diagonal belt section 12 to
tension the entire vehicle seat belt.
ÞKeep the vehicle seat belt tensioned.
ÞGrasp the light grey handle of the clamping flap
37.
ÞPush the clamping flap 37 down until it engages
into the two safety hooks 39. "CLICK!"
ÞIntroduisez alors la ceinture diagonale 12 dans
les deux guidages bleu clair 34.
La ceinture diagonale 12 se trouve maintenant
sur la ceinture ventrale 10.
Attention ! Ne pas torsader les ceintures.
Serrage de la ceinture du véhicule
ÞTirez sur la ceinture diagonale 12 pour

véhicule.
