Memory storage 1
Your menu settings are stored permanently,
and in the event of a power failure will not be
lost. Temporary settings (for example, Page
Layout) will be lost.
Sleep Mode 1
You can choose how long the machine must
be idle before it goes into Sleep Mode (up to
60 minutes). The timer will restart if any
operation is carried out on the machine.
aPress Menu.
bPress aor bto choose
0.Initial Setup.
Press OK.
cPress aor bto choose 3.Sleep Mode.
Press OK.
dPress aor bto choose 1 Min, 2 Mins,
3 Mins, 5 Mins, 10 Mins, 30 Mins
or 60 Mins, which is the length of time
the machine is idle before entering
Sleep Mode.
Press OK.
ePress Stop/Exit.

Changing LCD language 1
You can change the LCD language.
aPress Menu.
bPress aor bto choose
0.Initial Setup.
Press OK.
cPress aor bto choose
0.Local Language.
Press OK.
dPress aor bto choose your language.
Press OK.
ePress Stop/Exit.
LCD Contrast 1
You can adjust the LCD contrast. If you are
having difficulty reading the LCD, try
changing the contrast setting.
aPress Menu.
bPress aor bto choose
0.Initial Setup.
Press OK.

2.LCD Contrast.
Press OK.
dPress aor bto choose Light or Dark.
Press OK.

Reports 2
The following reports are available:
User Settings
Prints a list of your settings.
Network Config
Prints a list of your Network settings.
WLAN Report
Prints the result of the WLAN connection.

aPress Menu.
bPress aor bto choose
4.Print Reports.
Press OK.
cPress aor bto choose the report you
want to print.
Press OK.
dPress Black Start.
ePress Stop/Exit.

Copy settings 3
When you want to quickly change the copy
settings temporarily for the next copy, use the
Copy keys. You can use different
combinations of settings.
If you want more than one copy, press
Number of Copies repeatedly until the
number of copies you want appears (up to 99).
Or press aor bto change the number of
copies.
When you have finished changing settings,
press Black Start or Color Start.
The machine returns to its default settings
1 minute after it finishes copying.
Note
You can save some of the copy settings
you use most often by setting them as the
default. You can find instructions on how
to do this in the section for each feature.
Stop copying 3
To stop copying, press Stop/Exit.
Enlarging or reducing the
copied image 3
You can choose an enlargement or reduction
ratio. If you choose Fit to Page, your
machine will adjust the size automatically to
the paper size you set.
aLoad your document.
bEnter the number of copies you want.
cPress Enlarge/Reduce.
dDo one of the following:
Press aor bto choose the
enlargement or reduction ratio you
want. Press OK.
Press aor bto choose
Custom(25-400%). Press OK.
Press aor brepeatedly to enter an
enlargement or reduction ratio from
25% to 400%. Press OK.
ePress Black Start or Color Start.

Note
•Fit to Page does not work properly
when the document on the scanner glass
is skewed more than 3 degrees. Using the
document guidelines on the left and top,
place your document in the upper left
hand corner, with the document face down
on the scanner glass.
•Page Layout is not available with
Enlarge/Reduce.
Changing copy quality 3
You can choose the quality. The factory
setting is Normal.
aLoad your document.
bEnter the number of copies you want.
cPress Copy Quality repeatedly to
choose Normal, Fast or Best.
dPress Black Start or Color Start.
To change the default setting, follow the
instructions below:
aPress Menu.
bPress aor bto choose 2.Copy.
Press OK.
cPress aor bto choose 3.Quality.
Press OK.
dPress aor bto choose Normal, Fast or
Best.
Press OK.
ePress Stop/Exit.
Press Normal Normal is the
recommended
mode for ordinary
printouts. This
produces good
copy quality with
good copy speed.
Fast Fast copy speed
and lowest ink
consumption. Use
to save time
printing documents
to be proof-read,
large documents or
many copies.
Best Use Best mode to
copy precise
images such as
photographs. This
provides the
highest resolution
and the slowest
speed.

Adjusting Density 3
You can adjust the copy density to make
copies darker or lighter.
aLoad your document.
bEnter the number of copies you want.
cPress Copy Options and aor bto
choose Density.
Press OK.

bto make a lighter copy.
Press OK.
ePress Black Start or Color Start.
To change the default setting, follow the
instructions below:
aPress Menu.
bPress aor bto choose 2.Copy.
Press OK.
cPress aor bto choose 4.Density.
Press OK.
dPress ato make a darker copy or press
bto make a lighter copy.
Press OK.
ePress Stop/Exit.
Making N in 1 copies or a
poster (Page Layout) 3
The N in 1 copy feature can help you save
paper by letting you copy two or four pages
onto one printed page.
You can also produce a poster. When you
use the poster feature your machine divides
your document into sections, then enlarges
the sections so you can assemble them into a
poster.
aLoad your document.
bEnter the number of copies you want. 1
1You can only make one copy at a time when
you are using Poster(3x3) layout.
cPress Copy Options and aor bto
choose Page Layout.
Press OK.
dPress aor bto choose 2in1(P),
2in1(L), 2in1(ID) 1, 4in1(P),
4in1(L), Poster(3x3)or
Off(1in1).
Press OK.

ePress Black Start to scan the
document. You can also press
Color Start if you are making only one
color copy.
If you are making a poster, the machine
scans the page and starts printing.
