given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Installation
• Remove the pasta cooker from the packaging, ensuring that all protective packaging, plastic and
residues are thoroughly cleaned from its surfaces.
• Appliances should always be placed on the table when in use.
• Before locating and operating the pasta cooker, it is the user’s responsibility to ensure that all Health
& Safety regulations concerning safe positioning, spacing, ventilation, electrical installation, and fire
risk, are complied with.
Fitting head unit to the body
• Place the head unit into the right and left support bracket at the rear of the pasta cooker body, then
press the spring pin at the right to position the head unit into the pan.

• The pasta cooker can now be filled with water.
• Connect the pasta cooker to the correct power supply and it is ready to operate.
Caution: Do not position and operate the pasta cooker near combustible or flammable materials or
objects.
Operation
1. Turn the thermostat dial towards the “ON” position. The green light will activate to confirm. Adjust
the dial to the required temperature setting.
2. While heating up, the indicator light will come on; when the required temperature is reached, the
indicator light will go out.
3. As the water temperature fluctuates, the thermostat will operate to maintain the set temperature.
The indicator light will be lit when the pasta cooker is heating the water.

Using the timer
The digital timer with audible alarm can be set from 1 second to 15 minutes. The timer provides an
audible alarm after the set time expires. It provides no electrical control over the unit.
• START/STOP: Press START/STOP to start timer, press again
to stop. The timer will provide an audible alarm after the
set time. The alarm will beep 10 times and the display will
continue to flash until timer is reset (press the START/STOP
button).
• UP: Press UP to add extra time.
• DOWN: Press DOWN to reduce time.
• PROGRAM: There are a total of 6 programmable timer settings. The default factory program settings
are given below.

• To change the length of a program select the program you want to change by scrolling using the
PROGRAM button.
• Adjust the program time by using the UP and DOWN buttons. Press START/STOP to commence the
count-down. The new program time will be automatically stored.
• If the unit is left without power for more than 24hrs the timer settings will revert to the factory
defaults.
Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
The pasta cooker should be cleaned after each day’s operation; however it may require cleaning more
often, depending on the volume use.
1. Switch off the power and disconnect from the power supply by removing the plug from the socket.
2. The pasta cooker must be left to cool before cleaning.
3. Empty the water pan by opening the drain tap after use.
Warm soapy water is recommended for cleaning. Cleaning agents after prolonged use can cause damage
to stainless steel.
The main body can also be cleaned with warm soapy water. Remove the head unit and element before
cleaning takes place.
The head unit cannot be immersed in water, but can be wiped down with a damp cloth.
After cleaning as above, please use a dry cloth to clean the appliance to ensure there is no water on the
heating element and in the water pan.

Descaling
In hard water areas lime scale can build up within the appliance after prolonged use. To descale the
appliance.
1. Pour a solution of de-scaler and water into the appliance.
2. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the de-scale solution with reference to the length of time
required to soak, agitation, water temperature and on how to dispose of the solution safely.
3. Fill the appliance with clean water and turn back On to flush out the system. Flush out the system
thoroughly to remove any de-scaler residue.
4. The appliance is ready for use.
Note: Use a suitable descaler and always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
BUFFALO recommend that this appliance is descaled every 3 months or more
frequently in hard water areas.

Electrical Wiring
This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin BS1363 plug and lead.
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
This appliance is wired as follows:
• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
• Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency
disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.

• Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen met
lichamelijke, zintuiglijke of mentale beperkingen (inclusief
kinderen) of door personen met gebrek aan ervaring of kennis,
tenzij zij hierin worden begeleid of zijn opgeleid in het gebruik
van het apparaat door een persoon, die verantwoordelijk is
voor hun veiligheid.
• Men dient er toezicht op te houden dat kinderen niet met het
apparaat spelen.
• Buffalo beveelt aan dat dit apparaat periodiek (minstens
jaarlijks) door een bevoegde persoon wordt getest. Tests moeten
omvatten, maar zijn niet beperkt tot: visuele inspectie, polariteit,
aardings continuïteit, isolatie continuïteit en functionele test .
• Zorg ervoor dat het waterpeil boven het aangegeven
minimumniveau blijft. Als het vereiste peil niet wordt
gehandhaafd kan dit leiden tot een defect element.
• Schakel de stroom naar de Pastakoker uit en verwijder de
stekker uit het stopcontact tijdens het schoonmaken afvoeren
of vullen met water.
Inleiding
Neem de tijd om deze handleiding aandachtig door te lezen. Correct gebruik en onderhoud van deze
machine waarborgt de beste prestatie van uw Buffalo product.

Installatie
• Haal de Pastakoker uit de verpakking en zorg ervoor dat alle beschermende verpakking, plastic en
resten grondig van de oppervlakken worden verwijderd.
• Apparaten moeten tijdens gebruik altijd op de tafel worden geplaatst.
• Voordat de Buffalo-Pastakoker wordt gelokaliseerd en gebruikt, is het de verantwoordelijkheid van de
gebruiker om ervoor te zorgen dat alle gezondheids- en veiligheidsvoorschriften met betrekking tot
veilige plaatsing, afstand, elektrische ventilatie en brandgevaar worden nageleefd.
Hoofdunit aan het lichaam bevestigen
• Plaats de hoofdunit in de rechter en linker steunbeugel aan de achterkant van de Pastakoker lichaam
en druk vervolgens op de veerpen rechts van de doos om de hoofdunit in de pan te plaatsen.

• De Pastakoker kan nu gevuld worden met water.
• Sluit de Pastakoker aan op de juiste voeding en hij is klaar voor gebruik.
Let op: plaats en gebruik de pastakoker niet in de buurt van brandbare of ontvlambare
materialen of objecten.
Operatie
1. Draai de thermostaatknop naar de “AAN” positie, het groene lampje zal activeren om te bevestigen,
stel de knop in op de gewenste temperatuurinstelling.
2. Tijdens het opwarmen gaat het indicatielampje branden; wanneer de gewenste temperatuur is
bereikt, gaat het indicatielampje uit.
3. Als de watertemperatuur fluctueert, zal de thermostaat werken om de ingestelde temperatuur te
handhaven, het indicatielampje gaat branden wanneer de Pastakoker het water opwarmt.

De timer gebruiken
De digitale timer met alarmtoon kan worden ingesteld tussen 1 seconde en 15 minuten. De timer geeft
een geluidssignaal na het verstrijken van de ingestelde tijd. Het levert echter geen electronische controle
over het apparaat.
• START/STOP: Druk op START/STOP om de timer sta starten,
en druk er nogmaals op om hem te stoppen. Na de ingestelde
tijd klinkt de alarmtoon van de timer. De alarmtoon gaat 10
keer af en het scherm blijft knipperen totdat de timer wordt
uitgeschakeld (met de START/STOP-knop).
• UP: Druk op UP voor een langere tijd.
• DOWN: Druk op DOWN voor een kortere tijd.
• PROGRAMMA: er zijn in totaal 6 programmeerbare instellingen van de timer. De
standaardinstellingen bij levering staan hieronder.

• Om de lengte van een programma te wijzigen, selecteert u het betreffende programma met de knop
voor PROGRAMMA.
• Stel de gewenste tijd in met de knoppen UP en DOWN. Druk op START/STOP om de timer aan te
zetten. De nieuwe programmatijd wordt automatisch opgeslagen.
• Als de frituurpan meer dan 24 uur geen stroom ontvangt, gaat de timer weer terug naar de standaard
instellingen.
Reiniging, zorg & onderhoud
De Pastakoker moet na elke dagelijkse werking worden gereinigd, maar afhankelijk van het
gebruiksvolume moet deze mogelijk vaker worden gereinigd.
1. Schakel de stroom uit en haal de stekker uit het stopcontact door de stekker uit het stopcontact te
halen.
2. De Pastakoker moet voor het schoonmaken afkoelen.
3. Leeg de waterbak door na gebruik de aftapkraan te openen.
Voor het schoonmaken wordt een warm sopje aanbevolen. Na langdurig gebruik kunnen
reinigingsmiddelen het roestvrij staal beschadigen.
Ook de pan zelf kan met een warm sopje worden schoongemaakt. Verwijder het element met de regeling
voordat hij worden schoongemaakt.
De regeling kan niet in water worden ondergedompeld maar kan wel met een vochtige doek
worden afgenomen.
Nadat hij volgens de bovenstaande instructies is schoongemaakt, moet hij met een droge doek worden
afgenomen om ervoor te zorgen dat er geen water achterblijft op het verwarmingselement en in de
oliepan.

Ontkalken
Op plaatsen met hard water kan er na langdurig gebruik kalkafzetting in het apparaat voorkomen. Het
apparaat ontkalken:
1. Schenk een oplossing van ontkalkingsmiddel en water in het apparaat.
2. Volg de instructies van de fabrikant over de ontkalkingsoplossing met verwijzing naar de tijd die nodig
is om te weken, agitatie, watertemperatuur en hoe de oplossing veilig te verwijderen.
3. Vul het apparaat met schoon water en zet deze aan om het systeem te spoelen. Spoel het systeem
grondig met water om eventuele resten van het ontkalkingsmiddel te verwijderen.
4. Het apparaat is nu gebruiksklaar.
Opmerking: gebruik een geschikte ontkalker en volg altijd de instructies van de
fabrikant.
BUFFALO raadt u aan om dit apparaat om de 3 maanden te ontkalken en vaker
in gebieden met hard water.

Elektrische bedrading
Men dient de stekker op een geschikt stopcontact aan te sluiten.
De bedrading van dit apparaat is als volgt:
• Stroomkabel (bruin) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met L
• Neutraalkabel (blauw) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met N
• Aardekabel (groen/geel) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met E
Dit apparaat moet worden geaard.
Raadpleeg bij twijfel een vakkundige elektricien.
De elektrische isolatiepunten mogen niet worden geblokkeerd. In geval van een nooduitschakeling
moeten de isolatiepunten direct toegankelijk zijn.

Het WEEE-logo op dit product of bijbehorende documentatie geeft aan dat het product
niet onder huisvuil valt en ook niet als zodanig mag worden verwerkt. Ter preventie van

• Les enfants doivent être surveillés afin de s’assurer qu’ils ne
jouent pas avec l’appareil.
• Buffalo recommande de faire tester régulièrement cet appareil
(une fois par an au minimum) par une personne compétente.
Le test devrait inclure, entre autres : inspection visuelle, test de
polarité, la continuité de masse (équipement de classe I), test
d’isolation et test de fonctionnement.
• S’assurer que les niveaux d’eau sont maintenus au-dessus du
niveau minimum indiqué, au risque d’entraîner une défaillance
des éléments de chauffe.
• Éteignez le cuiseur à pâtes et débranchez la fiche de la prise
de courant pour le nettoyer et pour le vider ou le remplir d’eau.

Installation
• Retirez le cuiseur à pâtes de son emballage, assurez-vous de retirer entièrement tout emballage,
plastique et résidu au niveau des surfaces de l’appareil.
• Les appareils doivent toujours être placés sur une table pendant l’utilisation.
• Avant de positionner et de faire fonctionner le cuiseur à pâtes Buffalo, il est de la responsabilité de
l’utilisateur de s’assurer de la conformité aux réglementations de santé et de sécurité relatives au
positionnement, à la distance, à la ventilation, à l’installation électrique et au risque incendie.
Raccorder l’unité principale au corps de l’appareil
• Placez l’unité principale sur les pattes de support situées à l’arrière du corps du cuiseur à pâtes, puis
appuyez sur la broche à ressort placée sur la droite du boîtier pour positionner l’unité principale sur le
bac.

• Le cuiseur à pâtes peut maintenant être rempli d’eau.
• Branchez le cuiseur à pâtes à une alimentation adaptée. Il est alors prêt à fonctionner.
Attention : Ne placez pas le cuiseur à pâtes et ne le faites pas fonctionner à proximité de
matières ou d’objets combustibles ou inflammables.
Fonctionnement
1. Placez le bouton du thermostat en position “ON”. Un voyant vert confirme alors l’activation.
Positionnez ensuite le bouton sur la température requise.
2. Pendant le temps de chauffage, un voyant s’allume ; il s’éteint une fois que la température requise
est atteinte.
3. En fonction des variations de la température de l’eau, le thermostat se met en marche pour maintenir
la température paramétrée. Le voyant est allumé quand le cuiseur à pâtes est en train de chauffer l’eau.

Utilisation de la minuterie
La minuterie numérique avec alarme sonore peut être réglée sur une période allant de 1 s à 15 min. La
minuterie émet uniquement un signal sonore. Une fois la durée programmée expirée, l’appareil continue
de fonctionner à la température sélectionnée.
• START/STOP : Appuyer sur START/STOP pour démarrer
la minuterie et appuyer à nouveau sur ce bouton pour
l’arrêter. La minuterie émet un signal sonore une fois la
durée programmée expirée. L’alarme retentit 10 fois et
l’écran continue de clignoter jusqu’à ce que la minuterie soit
réinitialisée (appuyer sur START/STOP).
• UP : Appuyer sur UP pour prolonger la durée.
• DOWN : Appuyer sur DOWN pour réduire la durée.
• PROGRAM : Il existe 6 programmes de minuterie. Les programmes par défaut d’usine sont indiqués
ci-dessous.

• Pour modifier la longueur d’un programme, sélectionner le programme à modifier en les faisant
dérouler à l’aide du bouton PROGRAM.
• Régler la durée du programme avec les boutons UP et DOWN. Appuyer sur START/STOP pour
commencer le décompte. La nouvelle durée du programme sera automatiquement enregistrée.
• Si l’appareil n’est pas alimenté en courant pendant plus de 24 h, les valeurs par défaut d’usine des
programmes de la minuterie seront rétablies.
Nettoyage, entretien et maintenance
Le cuiseur à pates doit être nettoyé après chaque jour d’utilisation. Il peut toutefois être nécessaire de le
nettoyer plusieurs fois par jour, en fonction du volume produit.
1. Éteignez l’appareil et débranchez-le en retirant la fiche de la prise de courant..
2. Le cuiseur à pâtes doit être laissé à refroidir avant d’être nettoyé.
3. Videz le bac à eau en ouvrant le robinet de vidange après utilisation.
Il est recommandé de le nettoyer à l’eau chaude savonneuse. Une utilisation prolongée d’agents de
nettoyage peut endommager l’inox.
Le corps principal peut également être nettoyé avec de l’eau chaude savonneuse. Retirer le boîtier de
commande et l’élément de chauffe avant de procéder au nettoyage.
Ne pas immerger le boîtier de commande dans l’eau, mais le nettoyer avec un chiffon
humide.
Une fois le nettoyage terminé, essuyer l’appareil avec un chiffon sec pour s’assurer qu’il ne reste aucune
trace d’eau sur l’élément de chauffe et dans la cuve à huile.

Détartrage
En cas d’utilisation prolongée dans les régions où l’eau est très calcaire, des dépôts peuvent s’accumuler
dans l’appareil. Pour le détartrer :
1. Versez dans la bouilloire du détartrant dissous dans une quantité d’eau.
2. Suivez les instructions du fabricant sur la solution détartrée en faisant référence à la durée de
trempage, à l’agitation, à la température de l’eau et à la manière d’éliminer la solution en toute
sécurité.
3. Remplissez la bouilloire d’eau propre et allumez-la pour nettoyer le système. Rincez abondamment
pour éliminer toute trace de détartrant.
4. L’appareil est désormais prêt à servir.
Remarque: utilisez un détartrant adapté et suivez toujours les instructions du
fabricant.
BUFFALO vous recommande de détartrer cet appareil tous les trois mois ou plus
fréquemment dans les régions où l’eau est très calcaire.

Raccordement électrique
La prise doit être branchée dans une prise secteur appropriée.
Le branchement des fils de cet appareil correspond au schéma suivant :
