ThankyouforpurchasingtheMagnumDigitalVault.Togetstartedyouwillneed4AAAlkalinebatteries(not
included), the instructions andthe emergencykey.Thevault has beenshippedinthelockedposition. Toinstall
thebatteriesandbeginprogrammingyournewvaultpleasereadtheentireinstructionmanualandthen
proceedtothe"Openingthevaultusingtheemergencykey"sectionbelow.
OpeningtheQuickVaultusingtheemergencykey:
TheQuickVaultissuppliedwithanemergencykeytoopen
itmanually.Youwillneedthiskeytoopenthevaultsothatthebatteriesmaybeinstalledorreplacedinthe
eventofalossofpoweroranelectricalmalfunction.Toopenthevaultusingtheemergencyinsertthekeyinto
the“EmergencyKeyLock”(8ondiagram).Turnitcounterclockwiseortothelefttoopenthelid.Donotstore
yourkeyinsideofthevault!
Thekeywilloverridethevaultselectronicsystemallowingyoutoaccessthevault
atany timeregardlessofthebatteryconditionsoalwaysstoreyour keysina securelocation. Your emergency
keyhasakeycodeprintedonthekey.Pleaserecordyourkeycodebelowandontheincludedwarrantycard.
Youwillneedthis number toreorderanylostkeysin thefuture.
KEY CODE

Installingthe Batteries:
Forthisstepyouwillneed4AAAlkaline batteries(not included). Withthelidopen
locate the “Battery Compartment” (3ondiagram). Open the compartment cover by releasing the plastic tab.
Removethebatteryholderfrominsideofthe"BatteryCompartment".Thebatteryholderisattachedtothe
insideofthevaultwithelectricalwires,pleaseusecautionnottopullonthewires.Insertthe4AAbatteries
payingattentiontothe“+” and“-“signs. The"-"endofthebatteriesgoagainstthespringinsideofthe
compartment. If the batteries are installed correctly the vault will beep once and the LED access buttons will
flashblueonetime.Placethebatteryholderbackinsideofthebatterycompartmentandreplacethe
compartmentcover.
TwoMethods ofOpening:
TheQuickVaulthastwodifferentmethodsofentry. Thefirstistheemergencykey
andhasbeendescribedinthepreviousstep.Thismethodmaybeusedatanytimeandwillopenthevault
regardlessofbatterycondition.Thesecondmethodisusinga3to8digitpersonalcodethatcanbeenteredby
usingthefourLEDNightLightAccessbuttonsasdescribedbelow.
OpeningDigitalVaultwiththeFactoryPresetCode:
Thefactorypresetcodeforyourvaultis
I,II,III,IV
.To
wakethesystem,pressthe“PoweronButton”(7ondiagram).OncethesystemisawaketheLEDAccess
Buttonswilllightupblueandbeeponce.NowenterthefactorycodeofI,II,III,IV.Eachbluelightwillflash
greenonce andreturn toblue when the correct number ispressed. Once the personal code hasbeenentered
successfullytheLEDAccessButtonswillflashgreenonebyonefromlefttorightandthelidwillautomatically
unlock.Ifthecodeisenteredincorrectlythebluelightswillflashgreenthreetimesandyouwillhearthree
audible beeps, the LED access buttons willthenturn off. Toretry entering the correct code pressthe Power on
Buttonand repeatthe above steps.
LockingtheQuick Vault:
Tolockthevaultclosethelidandpressdownfirmly,aclickwillbeheardwhenthe
vault is securelylocked.
ProgrammingYourPersonalAccessCode:
TheDigitalVaultwillaccepta3to8digitpersonalcode.Toprogram
your3to8digitpersonalcodelocatethe“Programming Button” (2ondiagram).Forthisstepthevaultlid
needstobeintheopenposition. Tobeginprogrammingyournewcodepressthe"PoweronButton"(7on
diagram)andrelease.TheLEDaccessbuttonswillflashgreenonceandthenremainblue.Whiletheaccess
buttons are lit blue press the "Programming Button" (2ondiagram) onetime and release. The access buttons
willflashgreentwotimesandthenremainblue. Youwillheartwoaudiblebeeps. Enteryourpersonal3to8
digitcodeandpressthe"ProgrammingButton”againtostoreyournewcode.Ifyournewpersonalcodehas
beenacceptedtheLEDAccessButtonswillflashgreentwiceandthenremainlitfor2seconds.Youwillalso
heartwoaudiblebeeps.
Makesureyouremergencykeysarenotinsideofthevault
andclosethelidofthe
vault.Testthenewcodebypressingthe"PoweronButton"(7ondiagram)andenteringyournewpersonal
code. Ifthenewpersonalcodehasbeen acceptedtheLEDAccess Buttonswillflashgreenonebyonefromleft
torightandthelidwillautomaticallyunlock.Ifthevaultdoesnotoperateproperlyopenthevaultbyusingthe
emergencykeyasdescribedintheprevioussectionandrepeattheabovesteps.Pleaserecordyournew
personal code in a safe place.
EnteringtheWrongCode:
IfthecodehasbeenenteredincorrectlytheLEDAccessButtonswillflashgreen
fourtimesandyouwillhearfouraudiblebeeps.Ifthewrongcodeisenteredthreeconsecutivetimesthesafe
willgointoalockdownmodeforfiveminutes.Duringthisperiodthefrontbuttonswillflashblueandthe
electronic keypad will be temporarily disabled. The vault may still be opened using the emergency key override.
Afterafive-minuteperiod, thevaultwillautomaticallyresumenormaloperation.
TurningofftheAudibleSound:
Tosilencetheaudiblesoundoftheelectronicsturnthe“Silent ModeSwitch”
(4on diagram) tothe off position.

InteriorLight:ThevaultisequippedwithaLEDinteriorlight(5ondiagram).Thelightwillautomatically
illuminatefor15secondswhenthedoorisopenedusingthepersonalcode.
After15 seconds the light will
automatically turn off.
LowBattery Warning:
Ifthe4AAbatteriesgobelowtherequiredvoltage youwillhearsixaudible beepswhen
openingthevault.ReplacethebatteriesimmediatelyusingfourAAAlkalinebatteries.
MountingYourMagnumVaulttoFloororWall:Thevaultthatyouhavepurchasedisdesignedtobe
permanently mounted tosomething sturdy (i.e. shelf, wall, floor etc.) for proper safety and security. The vault
isnotdesigned tobea portable carryingcase.Ifthevaultisdroppedit could possibly cause the mechanism to
bedamagedortrigger,causingthesafetoopen.Thevaultcomeswithpredrilledholesandmounting
hardware.Itisrecommendedthatthevaultbesecuredwithscrewsorboltsfromtheinsidetoprevent

MountingYourDigitalVaultUsingtheIncludedSecurityCable:
A"SecurityCableSlot"(9ondiagram)has
beenprovidedontheback-leftsideofthevault.Toinstallthesecuritycable,followtheinstructionsbelow.
The lid of thevaultwill need tobe in the open position.

First,loopthesmallendofthesecuritycablearoundastationaryobjectandbackthroughthelargeloopof
the cable.
2.
Withthelidintheopenpositionplacethesmallloopendofthecableinsideofthevault.Themetalstop
shouldberesting against the inside ofthe"Security Cable Slot". Close the lidand press downfirmly, aclick will
be heardwhenthe lid is securely locked.
KeyReplacement:
Shouldthevaultkeysbecomelostormisplaced,youmayorderareplacementkeybycalling
theservicecenterat800.843.3483.Yourkeycodenumberisprintedonthefaceofthekeylock;thisnumber

Warranty:BulldogVaultsareprotectedbyafullone-yearguaranteethatentitlestheownertofreerepairor
replacementofthevaultiftheproductfailurewascausedbyadefectivepartorfaultyworkmanship.This
guaranteelastsforoneyearfromthedateofpurchase.Therepairorreplacementwilleitherrequirethe
originalsalesreceiptortheoriginalregistration.Yourvaultincludesaregistrationcardthatmustbefilledout
andreturned toBulldog Vaults with the serial number andoriginal date ofpurchase. The serial number can be
foundonthebackcornerofthevault.AnyvaultreturnedtoBulldogVaultsmustbereturnedusingaReturn
Authorizationnumberandshippedattheowner’sexpense.Thisnumbermaybeobtainedbycallingthe
service department at 800.843.3483. Any items returned to Bulldog Vaults without the said Return
Authorization number may berefused andreturned tothe sender at their expense. Oncethe vault isreceived
itwillbeevaluated,ifthevaultisdeemedtobedefectiveitwillberepairedorreplacedatthediscretionof
Bulldog Vaults.
