1 Connect RM4211 to the device to be monitored using either the included wired connector (test station) or
existing wiring from the device (such as a rectifier).
2If connecting RM4211 to a Bullhorn-ready coupon test station, remove the shorting plug from the 8-pin
connector before connecting it to the RM4211.
Prepare for Installation

For test station mounting-slip
test point adapter over and onto
the test station. Rotate adapter
clockwise until it is firmly secured
on the test station.
For pole or surface mounting - attach flat
base adapter to adjustable bracket. Install a
1/2” fitting into bottom opening on the base.
WARNING: If wires are to be buried or covered, use conduit to protect the wires.

Installing the Equipment
NOTE:For safety precautions for wiring power supply and unit inputs, see RM4200 Series User Guide.
WARNING:To prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage when handling electronic equipment, always wear an anti-
static wrist strap attached to an unpainted, grounded metal object. Ensure the wrist strap has maximum contact with
bare skin.
WARNING:To keep exposure of radio frequency energy below limits mandated for permissive exposure, do not operate
the RM4211 within 20 cm of any part of the body.
WARNING:Before beginning any wiring to the RM4211, disconnect all equipment from hazardous voltages.

RM4211 on Bracket RM4211
on Test Station Adapter
RM4211 units can be configured using Bullhorn®Tools Mobile for either an iOS or Android device. The following
are general steps to configure the RM4211 for service using the mobile app.
Configure RM4211 for Service
Install Batteries and Connect Wires
Secure RM4211 on Bracket or Test Station
1 Install the two batteries into bracket on the
RM4211, as shown. Secure with strap. Note
position of each battery.
2OPTIONAL - Connect a solar panel or DC
input to the DC/Solar connector on the
RM4211.
3 Connect the two battery connectors to the
battery connections on the RM4211. The unit
will make a clicking sound, which indicates
that the unit has powered on.

RM4211 Batteries and Connections

For pole or surface mounting - place RM4211 on
flat base adapter, with screws lining up with dome
cut-outs. Secure the unit by tightening the screws.
For test station mounting - place RM4211 onto the
adapter by lining up the Bullhorn label with the blue
circle on the adapter. Secure the unit by tightening
the screws.

1 Swipe a magnet across the access point (marked by an triangular indentation on the dome) on
the RM4211 unit dome. The indicator light will blink on/off, which indicates that the
unit is on and looking to pair.
2 Ensure that Bluetooth has been enabled on your device.
3Start Bullhorn Tools Mobile.
4Tap the name of your unit on the Search screen.
5Tap Refresh to update all enabled measurements.
6Tap and then Send a Test Message to verify installation
measurements and to update the satellite signal strength reading. Optimum level for Radio
SNR is 40 dB or greater. View the Radio SNR value on the Info screen.
7Tap a Reading to refresh/view/edit measurements, set alarms, or configure as desired.
8When finished, close Bullhorn Tools Mobile. The RM4211 will disconnect automatically (usually
within 5 minutes); or swipe with magnet again to turn off indicator light.
