Overview
Thank you for purchasing EDC 1000 conference system from BXB Electronics Co.
EDC1000 is the easiest digital conference system with superb performance and elegant design
which can be used in various conference rooms.
EDC1051 main control unit has the latest built-in digital control module which can control up to
10 chairman units and 127 delegate units. What’s more, the digital volume control module and
communication control module can definitely meet your requirements for any occasion.
The main control unit runs auto-detection to check if all the units work properly when turning on,
facilitating timely system detection.
High reliability is our utmost purpose when developing EDC1000 conference system. Each
main control unit and its fittings have all gone through careful assembly and strict test in our ISO
9001 approved factory. The excellent performance, high reliability and reasonable price make it
the indispensable conference system for you.

Safety Instructions
1. Please read and observe these instructions before installing and using the apparatus.
2. Use only accessories specified by the manufacturer. The manufacturer is not liable for damage
caused by the use of non-specified accessories.
3. Install the apparatus and its accessories carefully. Strike and fierce shaking may damage the
apparatus.
4. Make sure the power cord is fixed properly.
5. Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords as this can result in a risk of fire or short circuit.
6. To reduce the risk of damage from lightning strikes, it is important that all electric cables should
be bonded to the same grounding point.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings to prevent overheating and malfunction.
8. Do not expose the apparatus to rain or moisture.
Humidity may lead inside components to damage. Appropriate shelter is necessary when
placing it outside (Best working environment: Temperature 0°C ~ 40°C <32°F ~ 104°F>,
humidity below 90%).
9. Please do not switch on and off the apparatus rapidly.
Rapid switch on and off the apparatus should be avoided all the time to prevent inside sensitive
electronic circuits from being damaged by surges.
10.Do not clean the apparatus and its accessories with chemical solvents. Use only a clean,
dry/dampish cloth.
11.Refer to maintenance technician when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as:
A• power-supply cord or plug is damaged
B• liquid has been spilled in
C• has been exposed to rain or moisture
D• has been dropped
E• objects have fallen into the apparatus
F• does not operate normally
12.Note: When the printed circuit board is going through electric static treatment, correct ESD
safety precaution and grounding should be assured.
13.Note: Before connecting the apparatus to main AC, please select the supply voltage in
accordance with the wall voltage in your country to prevent damage. Refer to Installation and
Setting (Page 8) for selecting.
14.Warning: Do not disassemble or remodel the product, as these actions may lead to electrical
shock or damage. The guarantee on the product will become null if the product is ever
disassembled.

There are three groups of microphone port on the main control unit, which can be connected
randomly.
Chairman/delegate unit is equipped with hidden connecting terminal. While connecting, BXB
Advanced Y shape fast cord is adopted to form hidden wiring with simple and beauty effect.
The chairman microphone can be plugged at any place without order limitation.
Please make sure the power is off before unplugging the unit.

1.Turn On
1.1 After confirming all the wiring is done, switch on the main controller and the LCD will display
following information:

NOTE：
1. When the main controller is turned on, the system start auto-scanning if all the microphones
work properly. Red light ring on normal microphone stays on while flashing ones mean
connection failure.
2. In this case, turn off the unit and check whether the microphone connection is correct or not.
Switch it on and check again.
3. Press any of the microphone unit or wait for 30 seconds, light ring on microphones will be
turned off, the conference is ready to go.

3.System Operations & Settings
3.1 Talking Microphones Display
3.1.1 When conference microphone is using, the red light ring on it will be on. Meanwhile, its ID
code will be displayed on the LCD on main control unit.
3.1.2 Three using microphones codes can be shown on the preset menu.

3.1.3 If more than 3 microphones are in use, “” icon will be displayed on the up-right of the
LCD. Pressing MODE button LCD screen will show ” ◘” press “UP” and ”DN” button to
check codes of using microphone.

3.1.4 The symbol of “◘” icon indicates function is selected. Press MODE to switch items to setup
conference modes.
Note: All figures shown on this manual is only for examples. Each main control unit has
been through a series of QC test before leaving factory. Default values are not
identical, users can change settings simply followed by the instructions below.

3.2 Conference Mode Setting
3.2.1 Press MODE button move “◘” icon to 2. MODE Normal (flashing) press “UP” or
“DN” to change the conference mode.
3.2.2 Following are all the conference modes:
※All setting will not restrict chairman microphones.
Normal:
Delegate microphones can press the talk button and speak freely (within open mics
limit). Press talk button again to turn off after speaking.
Chairman:
Only chairman microphone can speak. Other delegate mics become invalid.

Override:
Example 1: If you limit only 1delegate microphone can be on, while the 2nd delegate
press TALK button, the 1st microphone will be switched off automatically.
Example 2: If you limit 3delegate microphones, turning on the 4th delegate unit will turn
off the 1st talking delegate unit; turning on the 5th will turn off the 2nd, in a word, only 3
microphones can be on at a time. 1~9microphones can be setup and chairman unit
won’t be limit in any of the modes.

3.3 Open Microphone Number Setup
3.3.1 Select “Open- Mic”: ALL Mic/ 1-9 microphones.
3.3.2 Press MODE button move” ◘” to OPEN - MIC 03 Mic will be flashing press UP or
DN to change numbers.
3.3.3 Limit number of open delegate microphones from 1~9.
4.3.3.1 OPEN –MIC：1 Mic Only 1delegate microphone can talk at a time.
4.3.3.2 OPEN –MIC：9 Mic Up to 9delegate microphones can talk at a time.
4.3.3.3 OPEN –MIC：ALL Mic All the delegates can talk.
3.4 Automatic Turn Off Mic Time Setup
3.4.1 Automatic mic off time (30/45 sec) could be set up. Delegate unit will be automatically
switched off when receiving no sound input for 30/45 sec.
3.4.2 Press MODE button move “◘” to AUTO –OFF30 Sec will be flashing press UP or
DN button to switch 30/45 sec.
3.4.3 After finish talking in 30/45 secs, delegate microphones will be turned off automatically.
3.4.3.1 AUTO –OFF：30 Sec Delegate microphones will be turned off in 30 sec.
3.4.3.2 AUTO –OFF：45 Sec Delegate microphones will be turned off in 45 sec.

To adjust system volume, please press UP button▲ or Down button▼ on the main control
unit, the LCD will be shown as follow:

Operation：
1. Press “Talk” button to turn on microphone. Both the button and the light ring on microphone
will light up.
2. When turn on the microphone, build-in speaker on the unit will be silent to prevent echo.
3. Press “Control” button to turn off all delegate microphones. Delegate can press “Talk” button
again to continue talking.
