How to configure your Nor150 settings for Noise Nuisance Recording

First we need a template setup file –you must load the Default setup first

Press SETUP Key to start adjusting your settings for noise nuisance settings

Set the Measurement Settings
Set the Global Time (measurement duration) to 7 days

Set the Profile A to 1 second resolution

Set the frequency weighting = Network A at least

Set one 90% percentile to

Adjust the functions like so
LAeq = G & PA are the minimum requirement

Set the audio recording settings

Set the Storage Mode
Repeat = Repeat continuous repeat measurements of 7 days until you press STOP
Automatic = Automatic stop and save of the measurement duration (7 days)
Synchronised = Measurements are saved into hourly periods (12:00-13:00, 13:00-14:00, 14:00-15:00 and so on)
Manual = Manual stop and save of the measurement

You can set your meter to display a 3 second countdown
after pressing the Start button

How to set a hand switch to record audio
Set events 1: ON
Configure your audio parameters… (Max Action Time = Audio Recording Length)

Set a reference tone marker at 70dB

Turn ON battery markers and event markers

Reduce the number of views in the main measurement display to just one view (Level v Time)
Level vs Time, Level vs Frequecny, SLM = Noise Levels Only

Configure Your Instrument
Enable the hand switch by changing Outputs 1 –4 to: Recording S1

Set the headphones to Playback and adjust the volume as required

Set the Reference Tone

Configure the level vs time screen –(main window)
Press and hold the touch screen in the measurement window
Select Functions > Set Max Functions In View > Turn of 2nd & 3rd Functions

Set the zoom range of screen
Set the time unit to absolute (displays current the date and time)
To do this - press and hold your finger on the screen to display the menu
