Installation Procedure
Follow the instructions described below to install the Color Network Printer Expansion Kit-C1
to copier. ENGLISH

Follow the instructions described below to install the Color Network Printer Expansion Kit-C1 to copier.

Before starting the work, be sure to
perform the following on the host ma-
chine in the order indicated:
1. Turn off the control panel power
switch.
2. Turn off the main power switch.
3. Disconnect the power cable (from
the wall/floor outlet).
1)Open the 2 wire saddles [1], and disconnect the con-
nector [2] to detach the reader communications cable
[3].

2) Remove the 7 screws [1], and detach the rear cover
[2].
3)Remove the 12 screws [1], and detach the control-
ler box cover [2].

4) Push the slot lever [1], and detach the boot ROM
[2].
5) Fit the included boot ROM [1] fully into the slot [2]
so that it is securely in position.
6) Attach the controller box cover and the host
machine’s rear cover.
7) Fix the reader controller communications cable in
place using the wire saddles.
8) Connect the host machine’s power cable (for the
wall outlet).
9) Turn on the main power switch.

Check to make sure that the host
machine’s network settings have prop-
erly been made.
Before the Network Setting, ask the user network con-
figuration to the user’s network administrator.
1)Press [user mode].
2)Press [system settings].
3) Press [network settings].
4) As necessary, check and set the following: [TCP/IP
settings], [NetWare settings] (indicated for a
NetWare model), [AppleTalk settings], and the like.

• From the user software CD-ROM, install the printer
driver to the PC.
1)Execute ‘setup’or ‘add printer’.
2)Follow the instructions on the screen to set up ports.
3)Check to see that the test page has been printed.

• Install the ScanGear Software designed to read origi-
nals from the reader to the PC.

Check to see that [expand] is indicated
on the host machine’s control panel.
(It must be indicated in response to the
installation of a UFR board.)
1) Execute ‘setup’.
2)Follow the instructions on the screen, and enter the
host machine’s IP address and the like.
3)Start up ScanGear, and check to see that data can be
imported.

ecute color adjustment.
• If you have connected the reader unit, execute ‘auto
gradation correction using the host machine’s ser-
vice mode (COPIER>ADJUST>PASCAL).
• If the machine is a printer model, connect the
CC100, and execute calibration (user operation).
