1 Caremaxx BioStick
1.1 Bedankt voor de aanschaf van een
Caremaxx BioStick.
Lees deze gebruiksaanwijzing
aandachtig voordat u
de BioStick gebruikt.
Een behandeling met uw Caremaxx
BioStick is heel eenvoudig en kan
praktisch overal worden uitgevoerd.
Om een veilig gebruik en optimale
werking te waarborgen, dient u deze
gebruiksaanwijzing goed te bewaren
en geeft u haar mee, als u het apparaat
doorgeeft aan derden.
1.2 Veiligheidsmaatregelen
• Gebruik deze BioStick enkel
en alleen zoals in de gebruiks-
aanwijzing aangegeven.
• Bij oneigenlijk gebruik vervalt de
garantie.
• Hetapparaatisgoedgekeurdvoor
thuistherapie en behoort niet te
worden gebruikt voor commerciële
doeleinden. Het kan geen
alternatief zijn voor een consult bij
uw arts.
• Een behandeling met de BioStick
wordt algemeen als aangenaam
ervaren. Als er plotseling pijn
mocht optreden of als het gebruik
onaangenaam is, breekt u de
behandeling af en overlegt u met
uw arts.
• Laat dit apparaat niet onbeheerd
liggen binnen het bereik van
kinderen. Kinderen mogen de
BioStick alleen onder toezicht van
volwassenen gebruiken.
• Reparaties mogen enkel en
alleen door geautoriseerde
servicewerkplaatsen worden
uitgevoerd.

• Stel het apparaat niet bloot aan
extreem hoge of lage temperaturen
of direct zonlicht.
• Dompel geen enkel deel van de
BioStick in water of een andere
vloeistof.
• Kijknietdirectindelichtbron.
1.3 Levering en verpakking
Wijwillendatonzekwaliteitsproducten
zo bij u aankomen, als we ze hebben
verzonden. Daarom bevindt uw
Caremaxx BioStick zich in een stabiele
beschermende verpakking van
milieuvriendelijke materialen. Als u
de doos niet wilt gebruiken voor het
bewaren van het apparaat, kunt u
hem met het oud papier meegeven.
Indien u tijdens het uitpakken
transportschade constateert, neem dan
direct contact op met uw leverancier.
De volgende onderdelen zitten in de
verpakking:

2 Het in gebruik nemen van
uw BioStick
2.1 Het plaatsen en verwijderen van
batterijen.
Open het batterijvak en plaats 2 AA
(1,5V) batterijen. Plaats de batterijen
met de plus (+) naar boven en de min
(-) naar beneden, zoals aangegeven in
het batterijvak. Sluit het battarijvak.
Verwijder de batterijen als u de BioStick
langere tijd niet gebruikt, om te
voorkomen dat batterij gaat lekken.
2.2 Aanwijzingen voor gebruik
1. Schuif de Aan/Uit-schakelaar naar

boven. De rode LEDs zullen gaan
branden.
2. Houd de BioStick tegen de koortslip
met het rode licht direct op de lip.
3. Houd de Biostick 1 tot 2 minuten
op dezelfde plek.
4. Gebruik de BioStick 3x per dag
voor een optimaal resultaat. Zodra
u merkt dat de BioStick begint
te werken, kunt u het aantal
behandelingen per dag verlagen.
5. Reinig het uiteinde van de BioStick
na elke behandeling. Gebruik
hiervoor een milde handzeep en
een zacht doekje. Houd de BioStick
niet onder de kraan of in water,
zeep of een andere vloeistof.
Voorkom dat er vocht in het
apparaatje binnendringt.
6. Leen uw BioStick niet uit, om
besmetting te voorkomen.
2.3 De voordelen van uw fototherapie
met BioStick:
• Fototherapie is een therapie
zonder medicijnen.
• De uiterst werkzame behandeling
van slechts 1 à 2 minuten is
praktisch overal uitvoerbaar.
• Door de lokale toepassing heeft
de therapie geen invloed op de
andere organen of lichaamsdelen.
• Erzijngeenbijwerkingenbekendbij

3 Overige
3.1 Reiniging en onderhoud
Zet de BioStick uit voordat u hem
schoonmaakt. Maak hem schoon met
een milde handzeep en een zacht
doekje. Bewaar de BioStick op een
droge plaats, uit het direct zonlicht.
Neem de batterijen uit het apparaat,

als u het langere tijd niet gebruikt.
Zo voorkomt u dat de batterijen gaan
lekken.
3.2 Afvalbeheer
Dit apparaat mag niet samen
met het huishoudelijk afval
worden aangeboden.
Iedere consument is
verplicht, alle elektrische of
elektronische apparaten, ongeacht
of die schadelijke stoffen bevatten of
niet, bij een milieudepot in zijn stad
of bij de speciaalzaak af te geven,
zodat ze op een milieuvriendelijke
manier kunnen worden verwijderd.
Haal de batterijen uit het apparaat
voordat u het apparaat verwijdert.
Gooi gebruikte batterijen niet bij het
huisvuil, maar breng deze naar de
daarvoor bestemde afvalverwerking of
lever deze in bij een speciaal daarvoor
bestemd inzamelstation bij de
supermarkt of elektrawinkelier. Wendt
u zich betreffende het afvalbeheer tot
uw gemeente of speciaalzaak.
3.3 Garantie en reparatievoorwaarden
Wendt u zich voor garantiegevallen
altijd tot uw leverancier of tot
onze klantendienst. Moet u het
apparaat opsturen, stuur het dan
samen met de klacht en een kopie
van uw aankoopbewijs naar onze
klantendienst.
Voor garantie gelden de volgende
voorwaarden:
1. Voor de producten van Caremaxx
geldt een garantietermijn van drie
jaar vanaf de datum van aankoop.
Deze kan door middel van de
verkoopbon of factuur worden
aangetoond.

2. Alle klachten, die het gevolg zijn
van materiaal of fabricagefouten
worden binnen de garantietermijn
gratis verholpen.
3. Een geval van garantie leidt niet
tot automatische verlenging van
de garantietermijn, noch voor
het apparaat zelf noch voor de
vervangen onderdelen.
4. Uitgesloten van garantie zijn:
a. Alle schade die ontstaan is door
ondeskundige behandeling, bv.
het niet op de juiste wijze volgen
van de gebruiksaanwijzing.
b. Beschadigingen die zijn ontstaan
door reparaties door de koper of
een ander onbevoegd persoon.
c. Transportschade, die is ontstaan
op weg van de verkoper naar de
verbruiker of tijdens het opsturen
naar de klantendienst.
d. Toebehoren, die onderhevig zijn
aan slijtage.
5. De fabrikant neemt geen
verantwoording voor directe of
indirecte vervolgschade die door
het apparaat veroorzaakt wordt.
Ook niet als de schade aan het
apparaat als garantiegeval erkend
is.

1.1 Nous vous remercions pour avoir

Caremaxx.
Lisez attentivement ce mode
d'emploi avant d'utiliser le BioStick.
Un traitement à l'aide du BioStick
Caremaxx est très simple à faire et
peut s'effectuer pratiquement partout.
Pour garantir une utilisation sûre et un
fonctionnement optimal de l'appareil,
vous devez bien conserver ce mode
d'emploi et le transmettre lorsque vous
transférez l'appareil à des tiers.
1.2 Consignes de sécurité
• UtilisezuniquementceBioStickde
la manière indiquée dans le mode
d'emploi.
• Encasd'utilisationinappropriée,il
y a perte d'effet de la garantie.
• L'appareil est approuvé pour une
thérapie à domicile et ne doit pas
être utilisé à des fins commerciales.
Il ne s'agit pas d'une alternative à
une consultation médicale.
• Un traitement par BioStick est
en général perçu comme étant
agréable. Si une douleur se
produit soudain ou si l'utilisation
s'avère désagréable, interrompez
le traitement et consultez votre
médecin.
• Ne laissez pas cet appareil sans
surveillance à portée des enfants.
Les enfants peuvent uniquement
utiliser le BioStick sous la
surveillance d'adultes.
• Les réparations peuvent
uniquement être effectuées par
des services agréés.
• N'exposez pas l'appareil à des

1.3 Livraison et emballage
Nous voulons que nos produits de
qualité vous parviennent dans le
même état que nous vous les avons
envoyés. Vous trouverez dès lors votre
BioStick Caremaxx conditionné dans
un emballage stable et protecteur
de matériaux écologiques. Si vous
ne voulez pas utiliser la boîte pour
conserver l'appareil, vous pouvez
vous en débarrasser avec les vieux
journaux. Si vous constatez des dégâts
dus au transport lors du déballage,
prenez directement contact avec votre
fournisseur.

2.1 Placement et retrait des piles.
Ouvrez le compartiment des piles et
placez 2 piles AA (1,5 V). Placez les piles
avec le plus (+) vers le haut et le moins
(-) vers le bas, comme indiqué dans
le compartiment des piles. Fermez le
compartiment des piles.
Enlevez les piles si vous n'utilisez pas
le BioStick durant une longue période,
afin d'éviter que les piles ne fuient.

2. Indications relatives à
l'emploi
1. Faitesglisserl'interrupteurmarche/
arrêt vers le haut. Les voyants DEL
rouges vont se mettre en marche.
2. Appuyez le BioStick contre le
bouton de fièvre, la lumière rouge
directement posée sur la lèvre.
3. Maintenez le BioStick 1 à 2
minutes au même endroit.
4. Utilisez le BioStick 3x par jour pour
obtenir un résultat optimal. Dès
que vous remarquez que le BioStick
commence à agir, vous pouvez
réduire le nombre de traitements
par jour.
5. Nettoyez l'extrémité du BioStick
après chaque traitement. Utilisez à
cette fin un savon doux ainsi qu'un
chiffon doux. Ne maintenez pas le
BioStick sous le robinet ou dans
l'eau, une savonnée ou un autre
liquide. Évitez de faire pénétrer de
l'humidité dans le petit appareil.
6. Ne prêtez pas votre BioStick afin
d'éviter toute contagion.
2.3 Les avantages de votre
photothérapie avec BioStick:
• Laphotothérapieestunethérapie
sans médicaments.
• Le traitement le plus efcace
(1 à 2 minutes seulement) peut
s'effectuer pratiquement partout.
• Enraisondel'applicationlocale,la
thérapie n'exerce aucune influence
sur les autres organes ou parties du
corps.
• Il n'y a  aucun effet secondaire
connu suite à une utilisation 3x par
jour du BioStick.

3 Autres points
3.1 Nettoyage et entretien
Désactivez le BioStick avant de le
nettoyer. Nettoyez-le avec un savon
doux ainsi qu'un chiffon doux.
Conservez le BioStick dans un endroit
sec, hors d'atteinte de la lumière directe
du soleil. Retirez les piles de l'appareil
si vous ne l'utilisez pas durant une
longue période. Vous éviterez ainsi
que les piles ne se mettent à couler.
3.2 Gestion des déchets
Cet appareil ne peut être
éliminé avec les déchets
ménagers.
Chaque consommateur est
tenu de se débarrasser de tout
appareil électrique ou électronique,
que celui-ci contienne des substances
dangereuses ou pas, en le déposant
au centre de tri de sa ville ou dans un
magasin spécialisé de manière à ce
qu’il puisse être détruit dans le respect
de l’environnement. Adressez-vous au
responsable de la gestion des déchets
de votre commune ou dans un magasin
spécialisé.
3.3 Garantie et conditions de
réparation
Lorsque vous souhaitez faire intervenir
la garantie, adressez-vous toujours à
votre fournisseur ou à notre service
après-vente. Si vous devez renvoyer
l’appareil, joignez-y la plainte et
une copie de votre preuve d’achat
et adressez-le à notre service après-
vente.
Les conditions suivantes sont
applicables à la garantie :
1. Pour les produits de Caremaxx, une

garantie de trois ans à compter de
la date d’achat est d’application.
Cette date peut être démontrée à
l’aide du ticket de caisse ou de la
facture.
2. Il est remédié gratuitement à toutes
les plaintes qui sont la conséquence
de défauts au niveau du matériau
ou de la fabrication, et ce, durant
toute la période de garantie.
3. Un recours à la garantie n’implique
pas automatiquement une
prolongation de la période de
garantie, ni pour l’appareil lui-
même, ni pour le remplacement de
pièces.
4. Sont exclus de la garantie :
a. Tous les dommages qui
surviennent suite à une
mauvaise manipulation, par ex.
en ne respectant pas comme il
se doit le mode d’emploi.
b. Tous les dommages résultant
de réparations effectuées
par l’acheteur ou toute autre
personne non qualifiée.
c. Les dommages résultant du
transport, survenant lors du
transfert du vendeur vers
l’utilisateur ou pendant l’envoi
au service après-vente.

Carefully read these user instructions
before using the BioStick.
The Caremaxx BioStick is very easy to
use and can be used almost anywhere.
To ensure safe and optimum use, please
retain these user instructions and pass
them on if this device is given to third
persons.
1.2 Safety measures
• Only use this BioStick for the
purposes described in these user
instructions.
• Theguaranteebecomesvoidinthe
event of improper use.
• The device has been approved
for home therapy and should not
be used for commercial purposes.
It cannot be an alternative for a
consultation with your doctor.
• In general, treatment with the
BioStick is a welcome experience.
If you suddenly experience pain or
discomfort, stop the treatment and

unsupervised within the reach of
children. Children may only use the
BioStick if supervised by an adult.

2.2 Delivery and packaging

sent them. That is why your Caremaxx
BioStick comes in strong protective
packaging which is made from
environment-friendly materials. If you
do not want to use the box to store the
device, then you can simply dispose of
it like normal paper. If you discover
transport damage while unpacking,
then please contact your supplier.
The package contains following

2 Using your BioStick
2.1 Placing and removing the
batteries.
Open the battery cover and place
2 AA (1.5V) batteries. As shown,
place the batteries with the plus (+)
facing upwards and minus (-) facing
downwards. Close the battery cover.
In order to prevent leakage, remove
the batteries if you do not use the
BioStick for long periods.
2.2 Instructions for use
1. Push up the On/Off switch. The red
LEDs will then light up.
2. Place the BioStick on the cold sore,
with the red light directly against
the lip.
3. Keep the BioStick on the same
place for 1 to 2 minutes.
4. Use the BioStick 3x per day for
optimum results. You can reduce
the number of treatments per day
as soon as the results of the BioStick
become noticeable.
5. Clean the tip of the BioStick after
each treatment. It is best to use a

mild soap and a soft cloth. Do not
hold the BioStick under the tap or
in water, soap or any other liquid.
Prevent moisture from entering
the device.
6. In order to prevent infection, do
not lend the BioStick to others.
2.3 The benefits of phototherapy
using BioStick:
Phototherapy is a therapy which does
not use medication.
• Theextremelyeffectivetreatment,
which lasts only 1 or 2 minutes, can
be performed almost anywhere.
• Due to the local application, this
therapy in no way influences other
organs or body parts.
• Therearenoknownside-effectsif
the BioStick is used 3x per day.
3 General
3.1 Cleaning and maintenance
Switch off the BioStick before cleaning
it. Clean it using a mild soap and a soft
cloth. Store the BioStick in a dry place,
away from direct sunlight. Remove the
batteries from the device if it will not
be used for long periods. This prevents
the batteries from leaking.
3.2 Waste management
This instrument is not to be disposed of
with the household waste. Consumers
are obliged to send all electric
or electronic instruments,
whether or not they contain
any hazardous materials, to a
depository for environmental
pollutants in their home town or to
their specialized dealership to ensure
their environmentally sound disposal.
