•Disconnectthebatteries.
•Disconnectthealternatorterminalwires.
•Disconnecttheinstrumentcluster.
•Disconnecttheenginecontrolunit.Disconnectall
connectorsfromtheengineharnesstotheECU.
•Disconnectthecontrollerfortheloader4in1bucket
orauxiliaryhydraulics,ifequipped(oneconnector,
locatedundertheloadervalveattherear,leftun-
dersideofthemachine).

Unlessotherwiseinstructed,alwaysperformthesestepsbeforeyouservicethemachine:
1.Parkthemachineonaat,levelsurface.
2.Placetheloaderbucketontheground,withthebottomoftheloaderbucketparalleltothesurface.
3.Placethedirectioncontrolleverandthetransmissioninneutral.
4.Ifyouneedtoopenthehoodtoperformservice,raisetheloaderarmsandinstallthesupportstrut.
5.Shutdowntheengine.
6.Placea'DoNotOperate'tagonthekeyswitchsothatitisvisibletootherworkersorremovethekey.

Enableordisableelectricalpowerfromthemachinebat-
teriestotheelectricalcomponentsusingthemasterdis-
connectswitch,locatedontherighthandsideoftheen-
gine.
NOTICE:Waitatleast60secondsafterignitionkeyis
placedintheOFFpositionbeforeturningmasterdiscon-
nectswitchtoOFF .Thisallowsthemachinecontrollersto
shutdownproperly.
NOTICE:Somemachineserviceproceduresrequirean
actualterminaldisconnectofthebatteries.Donotusethe
masterdisconnectforthosetypesofprocedures,suchas
weldingonthemachine.
