Introduction
Thank you for choosing our banknote counter CCE 2040 NG. This banknote counter should simplify the processing and accounting
of smaller amounts of money. With these devices sorted banknotes can be counted and at the same time checked for counterfeit
money. The banknote counters are therefore suitable in the back office area for all chain stores and retailers, i.e. also for smaller
amounts of money at the front line in the fight against counterfeit money, e.g. at banks, used car dealers or all other companies
where larger amounts of cash change hands at once.
The easy handling of the machine ensures a short training phase without time-consuming instruction.
If you have any questions about our banknote counting machine, we are at your disposal.

Initial operation
Please observe the following instructions when commissioning and using the machine in order to obtain an optimum counting
result.
•Connect the power plug to the socket.
•Now connect the power cord to the machine and switch it on at the back of the machine. The machine will then
perform a self-test.
•Push the sorted banknotes on a straight surface, so that the notes are flush on one long side. Now place the banknotes
vertically in the banknote area so that they lean against the carrying handle. Now tilt the banknotes to the back. In this
way you ensure an optimal feeding of the banknotes. If the banknotes are not inserted correctly, this can lead to
miscounting or non-recognition and sorting of banknotes.
•By pressing the red start button the counting process is started.
•If a banknote is not correctly recognized or suspected to be counterfeit, the machine stops the counting process. The
suspicious banknote is in the stacker as the top note and can then be removed and checked again separately. The
machine also alerts you with the red illuminated display (see following picture) and an alarm sound about the stop. By
pressing the red start button, the counting process is continued.

Setting and function
•PSVC – Pre-Selected-Value-Counting
The CCE 2040 NG offers you the possibility to display the total value of the sorted banknotes in addition to the quantity. Press
the VALUE button and the selected value of the banknotes to be counted will be shown in the lower left corner of the display.
You can change this value with the buttons "+ / 5" and "- / Batch". The following values are possible for this counting: 5 / 10 /
20 / 50 / 100 / 200 / 500. Press the "CUR" button to switch off the PSVC counting.
Note: The PSVC count cannot be used simultaneously with the batch count.
•Addition
The counting machine has an addition function with which several stacks of banknotes can be counted one after the other and
the results are then added up. By pressing the "ADD/7" key, you switch this function on or off. In the display the activated
function is indicated by ADD.
•Batch
With the counting machine you have the option of entering an individual counting stop or selecting a pre-programmed value.
When the set batch value is reached, the machine stops the counting process. If the counted notes are removed from the
stacker, the machine will continue to count the remaining notes until they have completely run through or the batch value is
reached again.
Press the "-/BATCH" key to recall the preset counting stops (100-50-20-10-off).
By pressing the "-/BATCH" key followed by "SET/6" you activate the numeric key function and can enter the desired batch
value. Press the "-/BATCH" key again to deactivate the counting stop.
•Automatic / manual start
With the banknote counter, you can choose between an automatic and a manual start of the counting process. By pressing
the "MANUAL / 8" key, you can switch back and forth between the variants. The display shows the selected option (MANUAL
or AUTO).
•Setting the counterfeit detection
UV testing:
Press the "UV / 1" key to switch counterfeit detection based on UV features on and off. The active status is indicated by UV in
the display.
MG/MT check:
By pressing the key "MG / 2" the counterfeit detection based on MG/MT features can be switched on and off. Pressing once
activates both the MG and the MT check. Pressing it again first switches MT and then MG off. The active status is indicated by
the message on the display.
IR check:
Pressing the key "IR / 3" the counterfeit detection based on UV features can be switched on and off. The active status is
indicated by UV in the display.
DD check:
With the DD check it is possible to look for a smaller banknote in a sorted stack (e.g. if there is a 5 Euro bill in a stack of 20
Euro bills). The difference in size between the two banknotes must be at least 5 mm in order to detect the different note.

Currency selection:
Use the "CUR / 4" key to toggle between the Euro and US Dollar count. Due to the universal software of the CCE 2040 NG it is also
possible to process other currencies, which are identical in terms of security features, in this mode. The machine does not stop at
a foreign currency as long as the activated security features are recognized. By activating and deactivating individual security
features to be checked, the CCE 2040 NG can be used as a universal banknote counter.
Mechanical settings
Due to transport and wear of the transport rollers in the hopper area, readjustment of the banknote feeder may be necessary.
On the back of the machine there is an adjusting wheel, by turning the wheel the contact pressure on the banknotes can be
changed.
If the machine feeds not only one but also several banknotes, please turn the adjusting wheel in direction of the "-" sign.
If the banknotes are fed into the machine badly or at an angle, please turn the adjusting wheel in direction of the "+" sign.

Cleaning of the sensors
The banknotes and the dust that settles cause deposits to form in front of the machine's sensors. This contamination leads to
increased sorting out and non-recognition of genuine banknotes.
Therefore, please clean the sensors of the machine at regular intervals. When cleaning the machine, generally switch off the
machine and pull the power plug.
To clean the sensors of the machine better, please proceed as follows. Reach under the banknote limiter and the carrying handle.
Now you can pull this area slightly upwards. This gives you better access to the transport and sensor area.
With a soft brush and cloth you can remove the coarse dust deposits from the sensors in the hopper and stacker area and from
the banknote transport wheels. For cleaning the counterfeit sensors we recommend the additional use of a non-flammable
compressed air spray to remove dirt and fine dust even in inaccessible places.
