Introduction
This user manual will guide you through the operations of the Set Top Box Model CSR-402HP with
Wi-Fi.
This Set Top Box (STB) provides users access to Free-To-Air (FTA) television channels & radio
services broadcast from satellite. It is pre-tuned to receive all SD & HD channels of the DD Free Dish
DTH service operated by Doordarshan.
It also has a built-in Wi-Fi feature which enables casting of YouTube and other video apps. from your
mobile phone to your TV.

Safety Precautions
Warning:
Do not use this STB where contact with or immersion in water is a possibility. Do not use
near flower vase, washbowls, kitchen sinks, laundry tubs, swimming pools, etc.
Do not put a candle or lamp stand on top of the STB; otherwise, there is a danger of fire.
The unit should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the operating
instructions or as marked on the unit. If you are not sure of the type of power supply (for
example, 120 or 230 V) to your home, consult your local dealer or local power company.
This product contains sensitive electronic components, do not open cabinet and touch inside.
Consult your local dealer for technical service if opening of the STB is required.
Unit Cleaning: After the unit power is turned off, you can clean the cabinet, panel and remote control
with a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild detergent solution.
Attachments: Never add any attachments and/or equipment without the manufacturer’s consent;
such additions may result in the risk of fire, electric shock, or other personal injury.
Location: Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation to protect the STB from
overheating. Do not block these openings or allow them to be blocked by placing the STB on a bed,
sofa, or other similar surface, nor should it be placed over a radiator or heat blower.
Power-Cord Protection: Place the power-supply cord out of the way, where it will not be walked
upon. Please pay special attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where
they exit from the unit.
Object and Liquid Entry: Never put objects of any kind into this STB through openings, as it may
touch dangerous points or short-circuit parts that could result in electric shock. Never spill any liquid
in the STB.
Parts Replacement: When the STB needs to be repaired the user should make sure that this STB is
serviced by the manufacturer or authorized service centre. Use only the manufacturer-specified spares
to avoid electric shock or any other hazards.
Safety Check: After all the maintenance and repairs are done, user should request the service
technician to conduct the overall safety check to ensure that the machine is in the proper condition.

Basic Operation
1. Turn on STB
Make the connection as given in the connection diagram.
Turn on the STB by switching on the adaptor mains power supply.
2. Standby
Press[Standby] key for the STB to enter the Standby state.
In Standby state, press [Standby] key again to recall the last channel.
User can also disconnect the device’s main power to end the Standby state.
3. Channel Up/Channel Down
In full screen, press [CH+/CH-] to change channel.
4. Volume Up/Volume Down
In full screen, press [VOL+/VOL-] to adjust volume.
5. Number Keys
In full screen, use number key and press [OK] on the Remote Control Unit to change
channel.
6. Mute
Press [MUTE] key to mute the sound and the screen will show up mute on the screen.
Press [MUTE] key again to restore sound.
7. Pause
In play mode, press [PAUSE] key, the picture will be paused.
Press [PAUSE] key again, the screen’s picture will skip over to the current playing picture,
and the sound of the channel will play correspondingly.
8. Audio
In full screen, press [AUDIO] key to open the “Audio Setting” window on the screen.
9. TV/Radio
In TV mode, pressing [TV/RADIO] key can switch to Radio mode.
In Radio mode, press [TV/RADIO] key to switch to TV mode.
10. Channel List
Press the [OK] key while the program is playing in full screen to open channel list.
11. Recall
In full screen press [RECALL] key to switch to the last viewed channel. The program name
and channel information are displayed at the bottom of the screen.

12. FAV
Press this key to call up the Favourite Channel Group List when there are no other menus in
full screen.
13.Menu
Press [MENU] key to open the menu, exit the current menu to last menu or close the
window.
14. OK
Press [OK] key to open the channel list.
Press [Left/Right] keys to move the highlight and press [OK] to play the highlighted
channel.
15. Exit
Press [EXIT] key to exit the current menu to last menu or close the window.
16.Rec
Press [REC] key to record program on USB. Then you can do Play & Pause, Forward &
Rewind.
17. Stop
Press the [STOP] key while recording to stop recording.
18. Info
Press this key to get information about the channel and its corresponding satellite details.

Installation
Press Menu > Installation
When you switch on the STB the Installation menu will appear on the TV screen, as below.
A. Satellite List
B. Factory Setting
C. USB Update
D. Game
A. Satellite List
This Set Top Box is pre-tuned to channels of DD Free Dish satellite. For viewing DD Free Dish
channels there is no need to change this setting.
The user can use this Set Top Box to receive satellite channels from other satellites too. To do so
the user has to set new satellite information using this menu. The Satellite List under Installation
menu can be used for adding, editing or deleting a satellite or the transponder (TP) of a satellite. On
selecting a satellite, the on-screen display (OSD) shows:

Use the left and right buttons on the RC to switch the highlight from the satellite list on the
left to the satellite parameter bar on the right.
Press the Ok button to highlight or deselect the satellite when highlight is on a satellite.
To add a new satellite in the list, press red button and enter the name, longitude, direction and
size for your reference.
Press the blue button function key to open satellite search /scan menu, as shown below:
Scan Type: Single or Multi-satellite search

FTA Only: Yes, for only free programs
Scan Channel: TV+Radio
Scan Mode: Blind scan
Press Ok button on the Search to start searching for the program.
TP List
In Satellite List press 'Audio' button on RCU to switch to TP list from Satellite. OSD shows:

Press the Green key/Edit key to open the edit menu.
Press the Red button to add a TP in list and edit Freq/SR/POL as desired.
Press Blue button to open the TP scan menu. Make the selection as required.
Press OK to start the search.
B. Factory Setting
It may be required to delete all the stored channels and bring back the set top box to the original
state. You can only perform this function when it is needed. However, this feature should be
activated by a trained technician.
The default password is “0000”

C. USB Update
This feature is not meant for the user of this Set Top Box
D. Game
Under Installation menu, go to Game using up/down button on RCU:
Press OK on RCU to select Game menu. It will open Game menu. In Game menu, you can
see 2 games – Othello and Tetris.

Channel List
Press Menu >Channel List
Under TV Channel List menu the screen will show:
A. TV Channel List
B. Radio Channel List
C. Timer Setting

D. Delete
A. TV Channel List
The Fav/Lock/Skip/Move/Edit action can be performed.
B. Radio Channel List
The Fav/Lock/Skip/Move/Edit action can be performed.

C. Timer Setting
We can schedule any particular channel by using Timer Setting and also can record the same
content.

D. Delete all
By this option user can delete all stored channels from the Set Top Box. The default
password to do that is “0000”.

Media Centre
Press Menu > Media Centre
Under Media Centre menu the screen will show:
A. Music
B. Picture
C. Movie
D. HDD information

You can play music programs on the TV which are stored in the Pen Drive.
Note: Some files may not be supported.
B. Picture
You can see images on the TV which are stored in the Pen Drive.
Note: Some files may not be supported.

You can run movies/videos on the TV which are stored in the Pen Drive.
Note: Some files may not be supported.
D. HDD Information
This display will show the details of the connected Pen Drive.
